Holed up, with the sound of those things outside. Monster, I guess you'd call them. As far as I know, I'm the only one left...The lone survivor.

This mission pack is base on a game call Lone Survivor. Watch the trailer here:


I got the inspiration from playing the game, and I haven't made any mission pack using this theme before so...yeah, I decided to make it. Putting Black Ops and Portal 2 on hold for a while, I guess.

Ok...

I guess it was alright for the intro mission.
Though i din't understand what was going on :S
Do i need to know the story of the Video Game Lone survivor or?
Anyway
There where some grammatical errors here and there. But that's ok.
I had the feeling you tried to make it like a Point and click adventure game, i suggest instead of using visible markers make invisible ones?
Or really small ones, well it din't really feel like i was looking for stuff, because i could see what i had to check out.
There where also some strange parts like the pit/hole, i don't really get what happens there.
Does he fall in the hole? Well there is not much things i can use in the hole so i don't really see the point of going in it ;P

Some other strange thing was when i had to check out the sink.
The characters simply says "Whats that?". i dunno, but what does it have to do with anything?
Sam with looking at the blood on the ground. While it is nice checking it out, id like to know its useful that i look at those things.
[ in P&C games this is different, because what you have to check out is not marked]
Also, i don't get the end at all
I fell into the hole again and some dude brought me home?
Or was it a dream? And im not really sure why the character likes night more lol.

Well, it's only the first mission, so there is enough room to improve and learn.

I did try to use invisible checkpoint but I afraid that some player can find it too hard, you know. But I'll use it in the next missions. tounge.gif

You didn't fall into the hole. You just look deep inside it.

And yeah, that's what it all about, you didn't know what happen, like were you in a dream or some dude make you or something like that.

And don't expect me to make it more realistic or something like that. I just want to making it look like the game, it's like silence hill in 2D. So I guess things might get a little strange sometimes.

And it's just an intro so...thanks man, I really appreciate this kind of feedback. smile.gif

While you have good skills, and the map is promising, don't you think that basing it off a 2D game limits your creativity?

The Second mission was way better than the first one.
The only thing i disliked was the end though confused.gif

It kinda felt like you gave up at the end.
Like lets finish it quickly with having a hole under a bed.

Anyway, good luck.
Try to let out those random strange things and it will be better

Actually you look into the mirror in a strange room, then you just appear back to the mirror in your apartment.

So far, the other side of the stadium don't have any icon because you haven't been there yet.

Alright, played the missions. The surprises, puzzles, both visible and invisible checkpoints, it was just awesome icon14.gif . The only part that I don't get it, is in the first mission. At first I thought that the player fall into the hole, because the next part, you teleport the player there. And, I thought that I need to defeat the enemy. You could use a cutscene for that. And, at the first mission, in the ending, I was surprised when I look deeply in the black screen, and suddenly a man showed up in the screen. Well, you got me there tounge2.gif . The second mission, the way you use the animation for the infected in the hall, it was very good icon14.gif . But, you know, why you don't use the meat object, so it will looks more realistic wink.gif . I found some grammar mistakes, but, you know, that's not a major problems. Anyway, you did a good job in designing the missions, and for average, I give it 8.2/10. Keep it up! biggrin.gif icon14.gif

It's not real man. What's the cutscene for, you saw a monster, you have to run to the door, right? This is not like other mission pack, it's more realistic I guess, you can fight a zombie.

Well played the third mission.
It's a good but short one.
Would have been better if it din't randomly end in the house.
Anyway i found some strange things.

when i was walking in the hallway, random peds appeared, so place a ped behavior objective next time wink.gif
When talking to the black guy eating in the house, he says something.
But instead of his name it says (You) , so watch out with that.
Again some spelling errors, but thats ok.

I liked the part where i had to choose between a answer.
This is why i think they should add a multiplae objective in DYOM, like different paths.

Take right and you will have another objective if you take left.
Let's hope they implement it wink.gif

Anyway, good mission, waiting for the next one smile.gif
