Really? I thought conversions from GTA IV from an old game wasn't aloud, But anywho good luck on the project, hopefully this topic doesn't close also don't you think the roller coaster will be abit buggy to convert?

Not exactly, i've even attempted, but the colision was fine, it was just the model and texture itself, not very good.

are you going to convert only liberty city map and some buildings?
I know SA can't follow 4 scale exactly same.
what's your final goal? only map and buildings?

Well, remember some ambient stuff like ammolimit, helicopter-tours and random airplanes landing & taking off. Missions, maybe some. Maybe we'll follow original IV storyline or well make whole new missions with CJ as main character. No plans for that yet.

And from what I know, DYOM is damn buggy. And I'd rather do a mission myself than use some program which'll do the job for me, manual-way FTW. smile.gif

The quality maybe as not as good as TBOGT but,at least they can make almost like TBOGT.there are some mission that kinda hard to remake in DYOM like Departure time,For the man who has everything and Caught with your pants down but,i have been thinking all that mission and i have already got idea on making that mission in DYOM.for the mission,i will make TBOGT & TLAD mission using DYOM as Project Liberty add-on called Episode from Project Liberty(EFPL).

Second video is nice, but do you use prelight?
And why these buildings on your screens are so bright at night?

They lack night vertex color, basically they have the same prelight on day and night

I have night vertex on only a few models at the moment, i will be adding them after i get most of the basic work for beta v0.2 done like the lods and some props, but here is an example of some in beta v0.1:

And if your talking about why my models are so bright (the tunnel pic) was just me demonstrating the models are my own. They look fine with enb, but i'm tyring to get them to look good with and without enb for users you can't run enb, still needs some tweaking. But if you are talking about the brightness in the video, i had my brightness setting up to much. I'm using a different enb in the 1st vid than what i was in the 2nd video.

At the moment its a manual installer, might make an auto later on

Wow, for just being Renderware, it definitely looks pretty good. ENB Series will definitely be needed in this mod, but at least ENB in SA looks good on more maps than IV. ENB is needed otherwise the map will look plain to us because we aren't used to seeing it with Renderware lighting.

Make a colormod config file, so you set the right darkening amounts
It takes alot less performance than enbseries
Anyway is impossible to make SSAO run good in a map with so much polygons
SA map is hell more simple and SSAO makes 90% of users struggle, IV LC makes it impossible

You can make fake ssao by prelight or texture but is up to you

I have the map, tried running ssao and i was at 58 fps,after ssao i went down to 4-8fps

Its weird, becouse i run gta iv with high end sets in 49-54 fps
Thats why i recommended to either do ssao by prelight faking, or baking ssao on textures(this one will take you a long long time)

Agree,with SA,when enb is enabled(with ssao) you will get a huge fps drop,happens with me,I run gta iv in hight/very hight settings at 30-40 fps but SA with ssao runs for me at 10-15 fps!!and the quality isn't as good as IV(of corse tounge.gif )

Iv's enb series core is a finished and detailed core. It supports multi core system so basically anyone with a quad or a sixth core processor can make 1 core to be fully dedicated to ssao rendering

The diference with SA enb series core is that boris never took the time to finish it or by those times were to weak to give enb series
A multi core toleration, basically without ENB, SA runs with full processor access but once you turn ENB on you go from full performance to 1 core processing which is lame since not everyone has a turbo oc processor going 4.4+

IV map on renderware is sensless. Renderware isnt able to handle the details. The Game is very unstable with only 10% of the props.... monocle.gif

At least who can play IV know already how IV Liberty City look like although it doesn't 100% look like IV
