[WIP] GTA III RAGE Classic

I have no plans on making multiplayer work with GTA III RAGE Classic, I think it's useless because nobody will play it.

You guys are only thinking of yourselfs. Multiplayer is not neccecery here. It will only waste effort when people forget about it after two days. I would vote for missions more than fot that.

I am not only thinking of myself, I'm thinking of the possibilities of having extra fun with the mod so it won't end up like most available.

Even if he doesn't work on MP, at least put correct spawns and some random weapon pickups, that at least. And it seems custom animations are now possible, so I think that missions are a good idea.

I really wouldn't recommend doing an actual Multiplayer. No one plays it on IV SA. Not many modders play it on normal IV, and the non modder population on IV is bigger but still small.

I just thought it would be neat to see those maps added as a bonus as they were going to be part of GTA III but never made it. The files were never left over until the iOS version came along. They are from when GTA III was in development. Rockstar considered adding them but never did. I bet they also considered adding MP back to the mobile version but then cut it in there too.

They would be bonus maps in a location where they wouldn't affect the regular map, kinda like a little bonus map IV:SA Beta 3 had hiding +5000 units up in the sky.

True, same story for IV:MP. Most played Multiplayer for Grand Theft Auto franchise as a whole goes to SA-MP and Rockstar didn't even give a shout out to the team. Shame really

That's not really a valid reason(s), people don't play because their game fails to start in the first place and it takes a bit of effort to get it running properly.


There are many people like myself who could enjoy Free Mode even without pickup crap, and the map statement you made is not valid neither because SA's map is what made it more fun.

In old SA, people would drive across whole state for a mission... and besides you can use a trainer for re-spawns/teleports

The reason hardly anyone plays IV:SA multiplayer is because it's difficult to find others who have it installed. If somebody would schedule some multiplayer events, I'm sure you would find a decent amount of players.

Well, it's a green part but it have to be set to 'alpha'. However, nothing is wrong in the screenshot because it's a LOD so you just noticed a bug without really see it. biggrin.gif

Wasn't Vice City Rage the only rage conversion with missions? I think it had the first mission and that "party" one. I could be wrong, though.

Also, why are the SA Diner Icons on the map?

No they are not in the middle of the ocean.
And no it's not diners, it's races. Again, it's WIP.

If they're races, then why is the icon represented by a set of silverware? Wouldn't it make sense to make the icon a race flag, or something similar?
