Wow, GTA 3's Liberty City feels different when you remove the blue filter and update the visuals to a new engine. It's like a whole brand new city to me.

Suggestion: Use real GTAIII carcols and also match the suspension height. As the car is lower that tells me that you haven't done any data lines for the vehicles, not trying to come across as an arse here but one thing i hate about most rage mods is that they change the car models but leave the un-edited or badly edited handling/vehicle.ide/etc.

Also, I announce that in Release 2, all cars will have original carcols converted from GTA III. You can already see it with the different cars in the screenshot. smile.gif

That's good news! We still haven't found the carcols on our side but it is one of those important little small details that just add to it.

Yeah I totally agree with you, carcols is very important to keep the atmosphere of the game. GTA III RAGE Classic look more like a GTA III conversion with the original carcols. smile.gif
I wish you good luck on finding VCS's carcols. biggrin.gif

Wow, the new screenshot really stands out, the overall better atmosphere, detail overlay and correct colours make it look a lot better compared to the previous shot!

Looking good. But I got an idea for this to make it unique. You should consider adding the beta multiplayer maps to the game. They were left over on the iOS version of GTA III and made by Rockstar.. Now, I would put them where they won't affect the normal map.
A few places:
1. North of the mountains in the upper part of the map. That is if you don't plan to add anything back there as we can fly back there now and see the unfinished map.
2. Way way way way up in the sky. High enough so you can't see them from the ground.
3. Some of the maps are indoor maps. So you might be able to incorporate the indoor maps and put them inside of buildings on the normal map, and some may work under the map as well. However the outdoor maps you may need to pick 1 or 2.

If you make MP for this, you could have the areas be each of the MP maps (Except 1 as its missing the IMG), Portland, Staunton, Shore Side Vale, and LC as a whole.

If that hadn't been found in VC's files, I'd be sure they were scrapped Max Payne multiplayer maps. It looks just like a condensed version of the bank level from the first game.

@nkjellman: Adding those maps sounds like a shoddy idea. Besides that it disrupts the goal of the mod (namely to recreate the original LC map on RAGE), the atmosphere of those levels wouldn't fit the map AT ALL.

At first people would, knowing that the maps were from the GTA III Beta. Plus because the maps are not in the open world, it can offer a different deathmatch experience.

Also the outdoor map I saw somewhere looks like part of LC but its a different layout. These maps will not be part of the LC map, they would be off somewhere else where you can't get to them with out teliporting or air break via trainer. They were in the GTA III iOS files, so they will fit. There are 5 maps, but one is missing an img.

Or both. The maps are small. The III MP maps would bring something new with out affecting the old.
