Finally, the new forum update has come after a much anticipated wait. Not to mention that the staff kept their word that the update would happen prior to GTA V's release. Mixed reviews and opinions on the update took place over the last 'couple weeks but with each day comes a better improvement.
Some complained about the transformation but many have accepted the change and actually tend to love the new look. As with any new change or update, bugs and minor issues follow. GTAF has had quite a few bugs lately but under the hard work and dedication, the Admins and select Staff have been fixing and bringing back the new features as well as the older features. Each day there seems to be an improvement and here at GTAF Insider, we're still supporting and admiring the new change. Thank you staff for your hard work and spirit.
Also, if you have any questions or bugs regarding the new update, please look through the Network Support and Site Suggestions forums for topics relating to your questions, they may hold your answers. Look before you post, as the same topic may have already been addressed.
Also in GTAForums news, there has been a local competition for members to create banners for certain sections of the board involving GTA III, GTA SA, GTA IV and even GTA V boards. Quite a few members have put some effort into and have submitted some pleasing and excellent work. You can visit the topic here. If you're somewhat skilled and think you have something to offer, go ahead and join in and see if your masterpiece(s) will be used!
General Chat has been replaced with 'Off-Topic' and the other subforums are now located above the forum. This is quite an unusual change for some and still frowned upon by many but as times goes by, I'm sure the change will be accepted or eventually return back to it's original format. You can visit Off-Topic discussions by clicking here. For those of you still confused, simply scroll down a ways and you'll see the normal off-topic discussions.
GTAF has also welcomed some new staff, quite a few just recently. Deffpony, Azazel and DTUMan were all promoted to led-by of the V section, then Azazel was eventually promoted to Moderator, that's when PrometheusX was brought in as another led-by for the V Section. As for other staff promotions, regular members AndyGanteks (leader of Yardies) was promoted to led-by of the Multiplayer section as well as GTA Online forum and GunWrath was promoted to led-by of Visual Arts and GFX Requests & Tutorials sections. All well deserved promotions and happy to see some of the more contributing members as staff now.
Also, we have the return of two admirable retired staff members! anuj and Mark have came out of the shadows to return to the help of GTAF and mingle amongst the crowds yet again! And please welcome, Otter to the Moderators team! Also, GTAF has broke records recently, the latest being over 13,000 users online. What an achievement!! Each day the numbers are high and GTAF welcomes new members along the way. Welcome to GTAF and we hope you enjoy your stay and get to posting.. get to know some of the regulars and first round is on you of course.. it's how we roll!
Kirsty has made a Staff List in GTA Network Support, you can find the names of the active staff members in her topic GTAForums Moderating Team. Thanks for the addition, Kirsty, I'm sure some users will find it helpful.

It has been over week since the release of Rockstars biggest and most anticipated game yet, and it broke quite a few records within the first few days. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, reported one day after the release that V made over $800 million within 24 hours through retail sales, making it the biggest entertainment release in the history. Just a couple of days later, it was reported that Rockstars most recent title surpassed $1 billion after only three days. The previous record was held by Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which made the same amount of money in 15 days. As if this isn't enough, VGChartz reported that GTAV smashed the pre-order records with having been pre-ordered 3.7 million times on Xbox 360, and 3.4 million times on PlayStation 3. You can talk about the sales record in the 'GTA V reaches $1 billion in three days' topic.
Did you already purchase the game? If so, do you have some nice screenshots to share with us? Show them in the '[V] Screenshots & Selfies Topic' topic. Also, if you want, you can write your very own review of GTAV and post it in the 'GTA V Forum Reviews: Your Reviews of GTA V' topic, created by Deffpony. If you are lucky enough, then your review will be posted on GTAV.Net and you'll possibly receive a commendation for your work!
The 'For the PC people from R*' topic in the News section has been quite active in the last couple of weeks. Especially since the release of the game, you can see some code from the game files that is posted there, which suggest that V will eventually arrive for PC and even next-generation consoles. For instance, some members found code in the visual settings files, which suggest that Bokeh Depth of Field is used for "PC/NG" (presumably PC/Next-Generation), which is a DX11-exclusive feature. In other words, this feature is indeed only available on PC and on the coming console generation. Furthermore, some bug report files were found in the PS3 version of the game, which lists a long list of bugs from PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Apparently, the odds that V has been developed for PC from the beginning on or at least for quite some time, sort of the way Rockstar did it with Max Pyne 3, doesn't seem that unlikely after all
The probably by far most critized feature of GTAV is the driving physics. Member twigs2001 created a topic named 'Downfall of GTA driving begins now - Car handling/physics discussion' a couple of weeks ago, and it has reached over 40 pages thus far. Many are of the opinion that the driving in the predecessor, GTA IV, is more realistic and more of a challenge, thus more fun. On the other hand, many people think that the driving physics in GTAV are better, and include necessary improvements. What are your thoughts on this subject?
The same news as usual but this time, Off-Topic wasn't as active as normal being V just released a little over a week ago as many people are still under it's claws and have barely came out to see the light. But the usual topics are still active such as Have A Question? V2, Funny Picture Topic and it also seems that universetwisters has came back to post more weird topics.. his latest being What's your handwriting like? and Thoughts on Crossdressers?
Kirsty also made a thread to alert the audience that Otter has become a moderator and it followed with some rather funny puns at his name.. take a look over at Ottocalypse. Also, congratulations Otter. Just keep your eyes peeled in Off-Topic as I'm sure more bizarre and funny topics will be made in the days and weeks to come but for now.. there's not really much to converse about. Let us know which topic deserves a mention in our upcoming issue!

What's up everyone! I am Doublepulse and I will be bringing you the Gaming News for this issue.
In the last few weeks, Sony has had some highlighted news to those interested in the new Playstation 4 and what the compatibility of what the Ps Vita might hold.
Sony have unveiled a new Playstation Vita model at the pre-Tokyo Game Show conference. The handheld is 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the original model. The battery has also been improved by an hour- which gives six hours of play; the new five inch LCD screen- and a internal gigabyte of memory is included.
Sony's other important announcement was the PlayStation Vita TV, a device which allows PS Vita games to be played on the television. It is 6cm by 10cm in size and accepts PS Vita Games and memory cards. It will also utilize Sony’s Remote Play concept - so will stream PS4 content, allowing you to play PS4 games even if your PS4 is not in the same room as you.
The PS3’s Dualshock 3 controller will be used to enjoy Vita games, as well as PSP and PSone games via download, while the PS4’s Dualshock 4 controller will be used for PS4 games.
If that did not interest you, what about Sony's future goal to put PlayStation on all devices?According to Sony's president Shuhei Yoshida, in an interview with Dengeki Online, he says "We’re considering various things like PC, TVs, Blu-ray players, smartphones and tablets. We hope to continue to expand not only to Sony devices, but even to devices other than Sony’s. This is still being studied."
In other news, Dead Rising 3 looks like it will not be coming to Xbox 360, according to what Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has said on Twitter.
"Reports from #eurogamer that Dead Rising 3 will launch on Xbox 360 are false. It’s an Xbox One exclusive – no plans for 360"
Microsoft's Producer Mike Jones says that Capcom began developing Dead Rising 3 with Xbox 360 in mind, but studio's plans for the game proved too ambitious for the aging console. [ On a side note, I call BS due to the fact that GTA V made it on 360 :p]
That is all the news from me today! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the news next week.

Most of you may know Indi but normally you can find Indi roaming in the Movies & TV Section showcasing his massive knowledge for cinema and everything inbetween. He's a great member, always on a straight line and very respectable, so we're pleased to have him as our first Member Spotlight for GTAF Insider. Below, we asked Indi just a couple questions to give our audience a better feel for him and to learn a little bit about him, so take a look!
Why did you join GTAForums?
I originally joined GTAForums back in April 2008 and joined because I was designing a mod at the time which was JAWS: San Andreas. I also wanted to have a participation in the GTA IV launch hype and I had browsed the forums some years before but didn't actually want to join until GTA IV since it seemed to be the best GTA yet.
Can you give us a short description about you?
Sure. I have quite a bit of hobbies, probably the main one being a movie-goer. I have a love of Cinema and my favourite directors are probably Alfred Hitchcock and Quentin Tarantino. I also love storytelling and game design and hope to go into the industry as one one day though it's a hard job to get. GTA is my favourite game series too of course and should be going to University next year to do a BA in Game Design/Programming.
Who are some of your more liked members of GTAF or those that you may call an actual friend(s)?
A lot of people I've met on GTAF are really cool dudes. Most of the AMF to be honest and GTANet staff. elanman I've always been close friends with and so many more -- Kirsty, GunWrath, JasonAW, BWpunisher, Ryan, Fnorg, trip, Edmachine and GTA1 are probably the ones I think are really cool people and easy to converse with (hope I haven't forgotten anyone ).
Note:: Please stick with us as this is new and we will offer more in the coming issues.. sorry for any inconvenience.
