Holy sh*t, this is very good.

Those models seem very professional (albeit, they're a bit, like 5% unrealistic, as they're too clean for a buidling).

But that is nothing to complain about.

Why not stick to CryEngine 3? It's a much better engine than IV, anyway.

CryEngine 3 has many oddities with regards to modeling whereas RAGE's only strange thing is that it doesn't allow for double-sided textures (what I have found so far). Plus, if I were to go to CE3 or Grit I'd start a new game from scratch (I'd love to re-make Mafia 1)

I'm rebuilding some areas around the arena ATM. Not much progress to show. Next up is either the Freedom Tower or the Biscayne Blvd. hotels next to AAA.

Due to my time being severely limited lately, I'll have to quit this map's developement. I might model a few more buildings as time permits, but I highly doubt I'll be able to complete the mod at such a pace.

bud that's what i was going to say to you . the project looks great but this is tremendous work especially if your alone . why don't you just do map parts . a map addon for the swamp one for the keys . main IV city does not need much modification i think , few neons eventually but it does not need a total overhaul IMHO . if you're sure you definitly abandon that project please post your art-deco buildings , the buddies could be interested tounge.gif . and if you decide to continue the project i think that the bahamas would be cooler than Cuba . as far as i remember Cuba does not appear not even once in original Miami vice series

I haven't gotten to the MiMo style buildings yet. I first created some landmarks to draw the roads around, but that's where it'll stay for now.
If someone wants Krapea and Vice Air Arena (or the terrain), I'll make them available. Just let me know.

It's been a while! I found some time to mess around with my VC buildings. I'll do the rear side and parking lot tomorrow.

I'm also planning on resuming the city at a slow pace. If it is finished, chances are it will be for GTAV. It's a good thing I've found a building generator that will do a lot of work for me (regarding the generic buildings), once I learn to use it properly.

I've started modeling West Bollock Island (see map in 1st post to locate it). The three, characteristically shaped islands will be home to the rich folks of VC.
The villa show below is not my work, instead it is a free use model I dl-ed. However it looks good.

Villa 1

This is one of the easy islands, as there are mostly villas and it is sparsely populated by buildings. I can then start adding decals (dirt, cracks, trash) and details in less time.

Going slow. Buildings are from free model libraries, as I don't have the time to model everything-I will focus on landmarks.
