Im thinking... Since there is no Buttons for signal lights how would the convertible top work? Maybe like in midnight-club L.A? go to the menu and put it up/down what do you think?

Wasn't there two buttons that controlled the handbrake? Just eliminate one of those and make it the button for opening or closing the roof.

Thats for the phone though,
When you have your phone out, it removes the use of X/A, so you have to use the other handbrake button.

...well its unsafe to be using your cell phone while driving so they can do away with that and it'll still work lmao

I wouldn't want to see them removing anything for this simple feature.

And going to the menu just for this would be too annoying, IMO. sneaky2.gif

Pressing right analog stick. Left analog stick is honking right? So, much like activating the hydraulics in GTA Vice/SA of lowriders with the right analog stick, this would be the button for it.

Pressing right analog stick is for looking behind you while driving if I remember correctly so that doesn't work either.

While the car is not moving press X or whatever the xbox alternative is they already did something similar in the trash removal mission in IV. Or they could make it automatically change depending on the weather.

Ah here it is.

I'll go with my post above. tounge.gif

Either that, or use the phone for it, as previously said.

The phone could be pretty useful in this game honestly, like you could also lock and unlock your car with it, not bad.

Just an idea.. dont know if it would work or not.

Hold ''x'' or ''Square''

''Down'' on the depad for the roof to go down.

''Up'' on the depad for the roof to go up.

And if you want indicators included

Hold ''x'' or ''square''

Press left and right on the depad.

Hold Y/Triangle to dead lock your car.

Agreed icon14.gif .
The up and down pad, I would leave it how it is with accessing the phone in your car.

Going to the inventory shouldn't work for something like this they should only make you access the inventory to take your sunglasses off or on just like Red Dead Redemption with the bandanna.

Removing one of the handbrakes for the convertible top would possibly be the best, in my opinion.

Well in the real world, you cannot open or close the convertible top while the car is moving at a certain speed. Pretty sure it varies for each make but it's normally a very slow speed like 10-15 mph. So I would say maybe tapping the X/A button while being completely stopped or coming to stop should work. What do you need E-brakes for anyways if you're stopped or coming to a stop?

They could simply use right or left on the d-pad. Or use r1/rb while stopped.

Or it could be motion sensored by connecting the PS MOVE or XBOX Kinect and you hand signal the convertible to go up and down

Let's get this over with lol, guys you are getting too complicated.

I think as someone said above, just use the right, left on the d-pad, easier. wink.gif

I just hope its an option.

Maybe have some kind of action menu where you can control parts of the car. Some vehicles will have special actions such as raising and lowering the waste container on garbage trucks or controlling the forks on the forklifts etc...

-Hold down the down button until it is fully opened/closed.

-Car must be stopped in order to operate convertable top.

Pushing "down" on the d-pad is the only logical button setup. Every other button (IMO) are perfect and serve their purpose well (even the fact that there are 2 hand brakes). Unless convertible tops are to be treated like how the police computers are treated in IV (by pressing L1/Lb at FULL stop), I see no other way for this to happen unless you hold "down" on the d-pad.

Up= phone
Left (hold)= radio left (radio off)
Right (hold)= radio right (radio off)
Down = zoom in on the mini map and bring up full HUD

I honestly thought that last one was pointless seeing how switching/shooting your weapon or entering/exiting a vehicle did this for you anyway. 2 handbrakes could be scaled down to only using the Cross/A button, i understood it was due to having moments of random phone conversation. Square/X is already used up (it changes you're weapons if pressed and turns on/off headlights/high-beams when held). Circle/B is perfect and should be left as "quick" cinematic mode/slow-mo. Triangle/Y? Nuff said. So logically holding down on the d-pad looks like the best bet for convertible tops or vehicle specialties for that matter.

If not, L1/Lb at full stop to lower or raise.
