There's mine which is included in the latest Downgrader, which uses mobile assets and the original vehicle lights sourced from GTAV, scaled to twice the size of the original so it still fits in without being too HD if that makes sense,but i kept the originals if you'd want it higher quality.

Thanks, but I think that textures from V are different from SA's. If you want, you can give me your vehicle.txd, I want to try to repeat the same result (with free textures of lights, scratches and some on).

 

UPD. Oh, you're meant latest Steam Downgrader, I did not immediately realize what is what.

Also there is a very good vehicle.txd mod that made by Junior_Djjr, textures are really great.

Thanks, but I think that textures from V are different from SA's.

I tracked down the ones that match the closest, and really only one set of rear lights are different, the rest of the ones they used in San Andreas were there, so I was able to make a lights texture at 1024x1024, which I then scaled down to 256x256 so it wouldn't stand out that much.

As for other improvements, I used the vehicle shatter from the mobile version, which is 256x256 instead of 128x128, and the scratch texture which is 128x128 instead of 64x64.

Hey Flame, hope everything is going well. Might I suggest when you post your next wave of city screenshots you use the updated vehicle models and txds? Maybe even use vegetation original quality as well?

Hello, BobFromReboot, glad that this thread is not forgotten. :) And as always, mates - sorry, that there are not new images and news. Everything is going well. Not as well as I waited from myself, but I don't abandon the mod. I still hope that this year will be productive.

BobFromReboot, do you think that it will be better to capture the next city screenshots with enabled new cars textures? I also think so. Also I have some prepared screenshots that I want to post in the next time, when I set the mood for this. Sorry if I did not understand the question.

Hi! Did you think that I have forgotten you? Never! This looks like it's going to be a great mod when it's finished! Although I really wish that you used the PS2 textures as your base. Even though they have a lower resolution (maybe), they are less compressed than the PC ones, and they have more color to them. This is still great though!

Hello, mates, it's very nice to see your activity here, and read your posts. For the last time I have a logjam (or obstruction, something like this, a dead point in my other cases - and because of this my computer work is not very productive again, but I need as faster to let go from this difficulties), I do not want to talk one and the same, but I always keep the mod in my mind, however for the last time I work with it more rather mentally, than literally. :( I think such a long development time is too large for any mod, and I feel some discomfort with this, but it will be finished one day.

About PS2 textures. If I'm not mistaken, earlier I was standing on position that it is not needed and the textures in the mod must be made with using PC textures as a base, because PC version was released later and has some improvements. But now I understand that now always changes can be really good and not always developers can be right. So it's a good idea. I want to download the mod with PS2 textures. Then, before I will make new texture, I will see at textures in both versions, and if PS2 texture will seem to me better, the new texture can be similar to the PS2 one. Will be interesting to do such little experiment. I'll write about such situation in the future, if I will do this.

FPS lost will be if the game will run on the same computer, as listed in the official system requirements in 2005. :) But on any modern PC the game with the mod will work smoothly and with good FPS.

You won't notice much difference with the ps2 textures in most cases, in some however you'll see that the pc textures have censored parts (litterally a black/white bar) or have a lot less color to them due to dxt compression on very low res textures. But using both as a reference could help with a few of them.

 

Hope you overcome the difficulties and maybe when you're not sure on what to do next you could post it here, I'm sure we could be of some help to you =)

Which ends up like insanity map, not to mention models are already being improved with HRT which is all that should be done. High poly is just not going to work out .

Yes, yes I am. And coming back into III/VC Chain Game with full force!

Even though I was away, I will never forget about HRT, it's something special, just like OpenIV was...

Hello MrMateczko. :)

Recent times I had some important things in my life, including important events connected with my education. They are finished for this moment, but I still don't feel myself free, as always my mod is stumble a little and I even can not find some time to show you a lot of really good images with very good progress for last months. I also captured videos. Hope soon I will finally sit down properly near the computer and, for the first, post a lot of interesting media here, and then will move, as it should be, the progress of the mod's development. I must to do this in the nearest future.
 

@Flame : If you're good at modelling, you can start a new project called HPM (High ploygon models) :p

But I am not good at modelling unfortunately. I like 3ds Max program and want to study it well. But I still cannot do a lot of things there. So I improve mapping and fix little defects, and HRT does not contain only the textures, so even the name is maybe not very suitable now because of this. But maybe it's late to change it. :)

Changing .COL files may alter how the single player campaign plays. I've noticed for example, SRT .COL files are messing up with the explosive barrels in End of The Line. So it's better to edit DFF models, rather than .COL.

Probably not since it wouldn't work too well with trees as well as performance taking a nose dive. Imagine a fence with all those high detail shadow meshes >.<

Those are not ALL objects and it suffers from lots of z-fighting.

Will HRT come with collision files as well?

In fact, in HRT 1.4 will be a lot of changed .col files. I cannot not edit them, because very often some glitches of original objects are connected exactly with their collisions, and I can not avoid this. I don't think that this can be connected with some problems in single-player, rather with online, where as I remember this is undesirable. In previous reports I often write about such fixes.
