alayanrole, yes, model of ball is very low poly, I can edit it, but is have sense to do this? :) This is the same like do for this ball good textures (but I did this). :D

Just out of curiosity, how much is left of San Fiero? Not rushing you or anything, I'm just wondering as it seems to be taking longer than it did to do Los Santos. Los Santos is bigger than San Fiero as well.

Your GPU will handle it fine. I once installed SRT on my sh*tty 9600M GT GPU and it ran fine.

I do hope so, i can run SRT3 fine too but the resolution of these textures are way bigger, so i guess i will have to wait and test it myself. I plan on getting a GTX 660 in the future so it's not that big of an issue.

Well the GT440 is basically the exact same card as the GT630, so if it works for me it will most likely work for you as well.

New obstacles. Release can be delayed


It is difficult and unpleasantly to write today's news (I do not want it to be true). Few days ago my hard disk was broken. The reason is, probably, sudden voltage change (voltage jump) in electric network (this, as rare spontaneous power outage, is common occurrence for us). With gigabytes of valuable data, were lost and HRT 1.4 work files (including textures in game formats and image formats).

About questions about videocards: HD textures require a lot of memory, but game will work well on videocards with 1 Gb memory and better.
winsionx, Los Santos and some sections of San Fierro already were made. Thanks.

I meant "those who do backups and those who don't... yet", but then I noticed you did have a backup. Shame it's so old.

Yes, it is shame. When I did not have a "blockage" in work (not only with mod), I regularly made backups, but last time did not find the time to do this. And this is the worst. Making of backups should be strict principle; it can not be postponed for later. At least, I haven't said yet that I will throw work.

Just out of curiosity. Might sound a little silly but here goes. It might be possible to recover what has been lost from screen shots by cutting and cropping in Photoshop.

 

Only two problems is in the screen shots you got the games lighting, and worse of all, possible loss in quality due to the resolution of the screen shot vs the resolution of the texture.

 

This isn't the first time I've seen a mod get affected by hard drive failure.

I knew about mods that were canceled because of drive problem, but I never thought that similar thing would happen with me.

No, this is not good variant, because, if we take textures from screenshots, they will be, as minimum, very "angled" and with bad resolution.

SFe have, as always, repeatable textures, but and new textures too... Remember that very hard work that I did with Chinatown, where each building model was re-mapped (it is harder than writing a "cool" citations), all these edited objects, a lot of new unique textures.

All content that you seen on screenshots from July 2013, were lost.

Well, you should write about this in the first post, so everyone knows.
It's sad...but this is nothing compared to the country you're living in.
As long as you (and your family) are safe, it's good.
With that lost, maybe you'll redo some parts better, with more edited models and such.
Because making 1024x1024 textures isn't good sometimes while the DFF's are still from 2004.
And one more thing, do not set a release date, just say it'll be done when it's done.

Yeah but if you don't use paid software or get the disk somewhere you'll probably just get oh we can recover your files they're still there but free version doesn't allow to recover files, buy now.

This is not problem with "software part" of the drive (this is not just bad sectors or corrupted system or something like this), if we can say so (I have already used recovery programs from bootable disks) this is, like said guys in service centers, problem with mechanical part, I think, be better not to open drive manually; data recovery company is located in another city and this costs a lot; however, I have another interesting way, I'll try it soon.

I do not trust clouds. These are for those people who do not care about its privacy data. And how easy to talk about "shame"! If you always do backups -  attaboy.

I'm talking about storing data on the cloud in principle. Not only mods. Anything. So private - is the work. At least for me. And once again, I am talking about myself. Do not teach me.
