I have voted.

You still doing SFe? I hope LV sections are not as large as SF ones. SF takes you a LONG time. Probably because of correcting all those wrong models in Chinatown. :) When will SFn be done? After LV or before?

I have voted.
You still doing SFe? I hope LV sections are not as large as SF ones. SF takes you a LONG time. Probably because of correcting all those wrong models in Chinatown. :) When will SFn be done? After LV or before?

There is another problem: each time, my standard of quality grows, I want to do mod better, more and more better, and I spending a more time - it's like bogged down in a quagmire. Choosing of the next section will depend on the weather. :)

You do realise some people actually have things to do in real life, right? Christmas is also coming up so I doubt Flame wants to sit around making textures for San Andreas.

 

And as far as I know, he only said he hopes for it to be released before 2014 and I think he also mentioned earlier that he doesn't think he'll meet his original deadline, so I wouldn't expect it to be done until early next year, maybe even Summer 2014.

What is your plan for the vegetation? Are you going to retexture it, or are you going to remodel it? If you remodel it, do you think you will be able to keep it feeling like the original game?

I have not measured the mod a long time. I think, finished mod will be has weight more then 2 GB definitely. Even maybe 4 Gb. Or more. By the way, interesting fact - now my working folder with mod is weights 22,7 Gb. :)

 

 

Quick question.

 

What is your plan for the vegetation? Are you going to retexture it, or are you going to remodel it? If you remodel it, do you think you will be able to keep it feeling like the original game?

Earlier I thinking about new textures for vegetation, but now I do not know, maybe even HRT 1.4 will be without new vegetation, user always can install one of global vegetation mods.

Fingers and other models from player.img from mobile version - now in HRT 1.4
 
I have ripped them!

... Well, I downloaded version of GTA San Andreas for iOS to explore it. About mobile version and its files: like in case with Vice City for iOS, all game files are located in one folder; game have a few archives with resources: IMG-files, also game have standard DFF-format for models, but textures, as with previous mobile GTA-games, are not in TXD-containers; archive with textures have .pvr extension, but format of textures is little changed in comparison with iOS Vice City, because TXD F***er, unfortunately, the only utility for work with textures in mobile GTA 3 and Vice City, can not correctly show textures.

But right now I can say, that textures have a very low resolution - as in PC version, resolution is 128x128, 256x256; most likely, mobile port even use textures from PS2-version (in PC and Xbox version few textures have a more greater resolution). In any case, as soon as possible to see correctly textures - I will use some of them, if will be something better, then in original game.

But lets back to fingers. As we knew, player model in SA - this is not one model, player consists from few models (parts). So, I was able to ripped player parts from mobile version, format of files is the same.

As we see, now fingers have a better quality. And not only fingers, but also some other parts of player (maybe some hats etc).

... About other experiments. Game have enhanced models of characters for cut-scenes. I was try to ripped them, but game is crashing in cut-scenes.

Will look further on mobile version modding.

Most likely (99%, just I have very slow and bad Internet, more bad, then your, I think! :)) mod will be released as one file (archive) with installer or mod files. I do not want to even think what would happen if I can not upload mod (an absurd situation).

So, in 99% mod will be released in one file; but maybe, archive with mod will be also released by parts - maybe. Let's not talk about it now.

No, not high-end, my config - Intel i3 2.93 GHz, 3,5 RAM, ASUS EAH5750 1 GB. I have a high FPS, but I do not long time did not check it.

We couldn't done this from VC and III mobile, yet you managed to do it for SA!

Though it's not the first real hand mod attempt, having them coming from an official source is a major step up!

Seriously, this just gets even more awesome and awesome. I love the new HD hands on CJ. Always thought it was awkward that the fingers were morphed together.

I wrote about that earlier...these were all fan-made mods. This one is special, as they're coming from an official developer/converter to mobile.

Is it possible to add glass material effect to windows on the buildings? You know, some vehicle mods has a fake envmap and chromemap, which makes an illusion of real reflections. As I read before envmap can be added in the zmodeler or 3DMax plugin. Example on the image:

This is not ENB, it's just correctly tuned environment map.

yerisub, no, in standard game is impossible to add reflections on the windows, I have spent a days for experiments with this, but no result; however, if the window may be slightly convex, reflection will be looks better, but if window is flat - reflection will be not as reflection, it will be ugly blinking and no more; so arranged game, because of this Rockstar (almost) not use reflection, only on the dome of one of casinos (is convex). Paradoxical that the cars are "flat", but using reflection. In mod I'm trying to maximally use the opportunities of the game and its technology therefore use reflections on convex objects.

Is that Buddha from original game? I have think that this object from SA-MP.

+edit : found the ID of that object,it is 14608 ,yet I was not able to find its model and texture name.
