I'm probably going to remove *bonus points* from getting most kills/jobs, because so far, only the winning team has gained extra points from these bonuses.

The Yardies will be picking the race settings for the next war.

As for Turf Wars, they are not possible with more than two teams, however as an extra round, after the TDM / TMW, a round of turf war were by the winning team teams with the team in the last, and the second placed team joins together with the third placed team, making it roughly 8 vs 8, the two teams that win both get 5 points? Bad idea?

That's a good idea imo.
Maybe 3rd placed team can get that 1 point instead? It would be neat. 5 for winner, 3 for 2nd and 1 for the 3rd. 4th gets nothing, but gets to pick settings for next races.. icon14.gif

Also, for the races, i suggest we keep the points for only the 1st, 2nd and 3rd + fastest lap. However, if there are 12,13,14,15, or 16 players racing, i suggest top 6 win points then. Either that, or maybe keep the races to a maximum of 12 people.

PS. 1 mistake i noticed in Kills, Dnero is Y, not MMD. tounge2.gif

Fixed mistake, thanks for noticing that Andy smile.gif

Secondly adjusted rules and scores so far.

Rules - Scoring
  • Victory is still equal to 5 points in every round, runners-up still get 3 points, but now third place get's 1 point.
  • Bonus points are now removed.
  • If there is a tie on points in the race round, gang's are rewarded equal points, this happened yesterday with The Highway Reapers and The Damned MC both getting 5 points from the races, both were equal runner's up, and therefore both got 3 points.
  • Next races will have a minimum of 3 laps, and race points will now be as follows - 1st:5 2nd:4 3rd:3 4th:2 5th:1 Fastest Lap:1
    This is the only rule I haven't applied to the last two battles, but it will apply to the next two.
  • Races can only be on the islands that the wars are based on, races are picked as follows, Bohan: TDMC, Alderney: THR:MC Dukes&Broker: Yardies and Algonquin: MMD.

Overall Score changes

TDMC (Removed 4 bonus points, added 1 third placed point- Battle of Bohan Races) 24
MMD (Points have remained the same) 20
Yardies (Added 3 points, for coming third in TMW's in both Bohan and Alderney, and third in Racing in Alderney) 7
THR MC (Added 2 points for coming third in TDM's in both Bohan and Alderney) 5

Two more islands left to play for, it's heating up, if Yardies or THR MC manage to dominate the next war, there is still every chance for any gang to be in with a chance of victory in this.

Next War is coming in late July / Early August (I am taking a break in July)

.:Challenge:.

This will be an added chance for any gang to "challenge" any victorious gang, to a gang vs gang war. All three modes will be played, plus the addition of a turf war. So if say The Damned MC win the next war in Broker and Dukes, and MMD aren't happy and want to challenge that victory, a game could be set-up to challenge the "ownership" of the island. (Points gained from the initial War won't be altered)
In any challenge, a gang can play up to 8 players per a team. Only TDMC can be challenged over Bohan and Alderney currently.
If you got any thoughts or suggestions about the idea of .:Challenge:., let me know. Just consider it another way of organising gang matches and having the chance to take "territory".

Nice idea for the challenge and nice changes aj. I think the challenges should be done after the 4 events are over and after the entire map is owned by someone.

I'm fine with the losing of the battles and all that because I'm not going to change my turf map over an event.

But one thing I really suggest for this event, or at least from here on in, is a change of the score system.

The 'winning' team has the ability to gain too many points.

By which I mean the 'bonus points' the bonus point should be for the team that doesn't win the round.

Because the wining team is bound to have the most kills in a TDM and the most objectives in a TMW game.

Now if the bonus point were for say the which ever team doesn't win the round it balances out the point a little better.

Because at the moment in TDM and TMW the second and third teams are awarded nothing.


Was just informed regarding the scoring changes.

However, I feel an extra five points for the team with the most race points is excessive.

I feel races should have a bonus for the highest scoring team, and if it is deemed necessary have it low such as 3 Pts for the Highest Scoring Race Team then 2 Pts for The Second Highest Scoring Race Team and 1 Pt for The Highest Scoring Race Team Third.

But that's merely, MY opinion.

As I said it's merely my opinion.

But with so many points being up for grabs within the races,
it turns the event into more a racing game, as opposed to the 'war theme' that is advertised.

Well it's GTAuto. Shooting, Driving, Walking, Flying, Tactics all combined into one, that's AJ's goal i think for this event. And for each mode there is 5 points. Maybe change the mode from Race to GTA race then? That way we can have shooting?

That'd be a decent compromise, however grenades would have to cut out of the picture due to the overwhelming chaos they'd create.

So maybe a GTA Race with the Weapons set to Pistols, I'm not sure it's that's an option and if not set it to only Guns.

Good to see everyone is thinking of ways in which this could be better.

Ultimately I wanted this event to test every gang's overall abilities, shooting, team work and driving.

As it stands I think the points system is now perfect (it was far from perfect before), every round has the same structure of, 5 for a win, 3 for being second place and 1 for coming third. Meaning every war has a maximum points of 15 points.
In the last war, TDMC was nearly beaten by MMD, the only thing that prevented this, was the fact that during the races, we managed to get enough points to come equal second with THR-MC. Otherwise the war would of ended 11 - 10 - 4 - 2 in favour to MMD.

Racing has to remain purely racing in my opinion. However I am open minded, and I would like to hear your thoughts on this idea.

Race
  • First Race - Pure racing / No ramming / Min. 3 laps - Max 6 laps.
  • Second Race - Anything goes racing / Blocking / ramming permitted
  • Third Race - GTA Race with Pistols only.

Three different settings for each race selection... I personally prefer the pure racing, but this could be more fun, for those that don't like racing. What do you all think? Remain the same, or add a little twist to the race round?

i think the races are fine as they are, it seems that anything goes anyway especially with andy spawning bikes derp happy.gif

races should be pure races i think they were fine, maybe throw in some more laps because 16 people need more laps to find a good clear winner smile.gif

Keep the racing as it is.

Also for long race tracks, laps should be 3. While short tracks should be 4.

well andy i like your ide but then that means more points will have to go into the tdm and tmw to even it out

Top 5 + Fastest Lap rewarded (1st - 5, 2nd - 4, 3rd - 3, 4th - 2 5th - 1 Fastest lap - 1 )

@Nic - Andy is referring to the race points only, not the actually events points.

Every War... (4 total, 2 played so far)

TDM : 5 - 3 - 1 - 0
TMW : 5 - 3 - 1 - 0
Race : 5 - 3 - 1 - 0

TDM and TMW rounds are decided by a single game in each mode ($5000 / $10000)

Race is decided by 3 races, with an inbuilt scoring system (separate to the events points) rewarding, positions 1st - 5th + Fastest Laps.

ah i see sorry aj i didnt realise the races had an inbuilt score system. i see how it works now so then you get the overall scores from all 3 races. smile.gif

so yeah i guess the 1st to 5th is a good idea, keep races just races and maybe chuck in some more laps. icon14.gif

I didn't realize that the races had an inbuilt score system that is a sub of the points awarded points.

In which case, I see the current layout of races being fine.

I was under the false assumption it was points per race, and not overall for the three races.

Sorry but I guess I don't completely understand. Do all the Race points from each race count towards your teams score, or just the placing in the racing portion? i.e. MMD-5, DMC-3

Also keep racing as is. Besides there's already dirty racing anyways.

Let's do an example to demonstrate the points system for the race round.

Race - Driving While High - Sultan RS - Laps 2
  • 1ST - MMD Stingray - 5
  • 2nd - THR MC Beaver - 4
  • 3rd - comeon12 - 3
  • 4th - ajbns87 - 2
  • 5th - MMD President - 1
  • Fastest Lap - comeon12 - 1

This would give MMD 6 race points , TDMC 6 racepoints and THRMC 4 racepoints.

At the end of the three races, all these points are added up. The gang with most, get's 5 Event points like the past two rounds. (It's all been updated and written on the first pages)

On Saturday in the Assault for Alderney, MMD won the race round with 9 race points (MMD Stingray got 7 of those) THR MC and TDMC both finished with 5 race points, and so drew in second place.
