Prepare for something completely different...

16980545.png

Story:

In 1992, after Frank Tenpenny died and the riots of Los Santos ceased, the three major gangs made a deal. The Ballas would own Las Venturas, the Los Santos Vagos would have San Fierro while the Orange Grove Families would keep Los Santos. The small gangs did not know about this deal until the gangs took their respective territories. They did nothing about it.

One year later, in 1993, the Russian Mafia got tired and took Ocean Docks away from the Orange Grove Families. The Varrios Los Aztecas wanted launch an attack on them but the Orange Grove Families prevented them. The small San Fierro gangs learnt about the incident. The Da Nang Boys were the first to act by taking over some Los Santos Vagos hoods. Then, the San Fierro Rifa and the San Fierro Triads declared war on the them. It was one week after the events of Los Santos.

In Las Venturas, five weeks after what hapened in San Fierro, the Italian Mafia decided it was time to act. In a only a week, they had taken all but one of the Ballas zones. The Ballas had kept their most powerful members in one spot, the Last Dime Motel. And, they were defending it so well that the Italian Mafia lost every of their battles there.

In 1994, the police, the Army and all the other Law and Order forces had been wiped out. The gangs even had took control of territories in the country side. This is when the SAM was called in to do the dirty work...

One question remains: who called the meeting of this deal?

Thanks for the support.

As for those who don't understand what SatournFan and AnDReJ98 mean by "first time," it is simple: this is an old project I started a long time ago. I stopped to design missions for it. Now, I'm working back on it and will do two things: remake the two first chapters and design the other chapters.

Ahahaha. I love it.

I readed the whole topic and it seems just like something I am going to like. This has the "old good times" feeling what I like in almost everything, movies, music, whatever.

Now that my exams are done, I can start working back on this.

Should I release the missions one by one? Should I release the full chapters in a .zip file? Should I release the full chapters in a .dsl file? Should I release the missions one by one, then release a .zip and .dsl file of the full chapters?

Second mission released! Check the main post for the link.

Play, enjoy, and give feedback! Stay on guard for hints that could lead John closer on finding who called the gang meeting that started everything!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission questionning:

How many hints did you find in that mission?
What were these hints?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you may have noticed, I continue my "style" of coloring the missions (name in the main post) depending on their difficulty (in my opinion.) A new thing I include to this mission pack are hints: these can be pickups (items such as briefcases, books, etc. that are non-linear with the mission, but that will effect the ending of the mission pack), behaviours, etc. Another thing I also continue is the "mission questionning" thingy I made in the last chapter of The Story of Samuel Garret: that means that after some missions I could ask you if you found any hints, how many hints you found, if you liked something like a hand built location (with the DYOM objects), etc.

Small note: I decided not to make a .DLS file for this chapter, seeing the lenght of the first mission. Don't worry though: I will still make a .zip or .rar file of it. wink.gif

Notna: I'm still waiting for your feedback. tounge.gif

Alright just finished playing the missions, here's my feedback:

-Mission 1: Spotted some writing mistake, I really like the first cutscene when Toreno brief John (look for hints, clues and stuff,...). I like the big objective in the sky when we must fly to Los Santos. I don't know about the others but I don't have any weapon to fight with the enemis, I have to fight with my own hand to steal their guns. The enemies have pretty high accuracy so is pretty hard.

Rating: 7/10

-Mission 2: This mission is medium? I mean come on, this is one of the hardest mission I have ever played! I mean The first shootout is awesome but...4 guys with shotgun, and we are surround by tons of enemies with powerful guns and high accuracy. I mean, when the shootout start, I don't know where to take cover, so...I died after 2-3 seconds. The rest of the enemies took a long time to eliminate, I mean they have like 500-1000 health with powerful guns and high accuracy! You should change the mission status to f*cking hard or insane.
About the hints...I think it was the sentinel...well, I didn't find any...I don't know if it was the objects or somethings...So can you tell me tounge.gif , I mean in spoiler?

One more things, I think it would be epic if the last mission show us all the hints, clues and then show the guy who called the meeting. It's like...Sherlock Holmes.

Rating: 8.5/10

-Mission 3: Yeah this mission is hard, too, but enjoyable. Took me 5 minutes to find Unity Station (I Google it tounge2.gif ).
And yes, I love the play room, the objects is well placed. And of course I would like too see more.

Rating:8.5/10
Seeing the play room just make me rise the rating. biggrin.gif

-Mission 4: Alright, the mission is hard, I mean really hard!I love the shooting, the map, the covers. But some enemies has really high health, I mean...we have a SMG! It took about 20 seconds to kill one! The rest is great.

Rating: 7.5/10

Overall, it really hard to spot a writing mistake, I only spot a few. But i must admit, the missions is pretty realistic to me. Because of the gps, I mean, the map icon doesn't appear suddenly, you have to ask Toreno for the location and stuff. But I recommended you to lower the accuracy and the health, oh and don't let too many enemies use shotgun, especially combat-shotgun.
Keep up the good work. icon14.gif This one goes to my ''must finish'' list.

Fifth, sixth, seventh mission released! Check the main post for the links.

Play, enjoy, and give feedback. Stay on guard for a hint in mission five that could lead John closer to find who called the gang meeting that started everything.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Questionning time:

-How many Russians survived in Headshots at the Airport ( x/41)?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

xGhostx: Thanks for playing and for the rating. I really do appreciate. About the hints: the Sentinel is not one of these. One of the hints can be picked up. For the other one, I'll let you make deductions. tounge.gif

Very nice missions, the second one isn't that hard, you just have to find cover fast, I even complete it without taking armour, because I don't saw it. And about this hint in 2nd mission, it was briefcase, right? I only saw flying ring, but without the briefcase. That might be one of GTA bugs. Killing the enemies is only hard at the start, then we're getting more and more skills and finally "hitman level".

I'll wait for you to give me feedback on how many Russians survived for you in Headshots at the Airport (x/41) before designing the next mission.

xMatix: You are right. One of the two hints was the briefcase. What was inside the briefcase (the hint) will be written at the bottom of the main post.

Here's my stats for "Headshots at the Airport"
Helipad - 9 survived (No casualties)
Runway - 2 survived (The hardest one, there was very big distance)
Parking - 12 survived (No casualties)
Last place - 7 survived
30/41 Russians survived

It's easy to not get any casualties in 3 places, because the distance is small/average, just in the second one there is big problem.

Btw. you should write the hints in the main post with spoilers, because someone might want to find them alone, and accidentally read them. Just leave the name of mission, something like that:
Retaliation - Briefcase - One of them seems to know more than the average citizen.

Played the rest of the mission, so here's my feedback:

Mission 5 : Damn, the first shootout was f*cking awesome! But I recommended you to set the headshot on for the enemies on high place without anything behind to block them from falling. Because when I shot them in their head, they move back and fall down on the other side. So I have to go there to kill them. I mean it's a defend mission, not hunting mission. And I love how you make the enemies attack from the roof, they didn't spawn suddenly, they went from the corner, good job on that.
I couldn't complete the mission because I can't defuse the first bomb, I mean there are a lot of bombs. I run around to all the bomb but I couldn't find the first one. But I see you add a must survive actor next to every bomb, one simple trick but not many people use it.

Rating : 8.5/10

Mission 6 : Love all the sniping part, probably one of the best I've ever played. Didn't found any hint. And Vladimir clearly said go to Los Santos airport, and the airport is right behind me, so I think you don't have to add the GPS part in this mission, it's a cool trick but you don't always have to use it.

Oh, and here's my stat:
Helipad: 6 survived
Runway: 0 survived. The distance is really far to make headshots and there are a lot of Ballas, when I hit one of the Ballas, they start to run toward me.
West side: 8 survived
East side: 7 survived

Rating : 8/10

Mission 7 : I really like the first ambush but the explosion is really not necessary. Also like the shootout in the building, fun and hard. I enjoy this mission the most...so far.

Rating : 9/10

Mission 8 : I really like the first part, which I have to choose weapons and a car (I choose Banshee tounge2.gif )
And love the stealth part in the mansion, but the first guard saw me even I just teleport in their.

Rating : 7/10

Mission 9 : A great mission but some of the enemies have really high health, but I love all the shooting, nothing else to say...
Didn't find any hint. Oh and I let the Vagos goes.

Rating : 8.5/10

So...(8.5/10+8/10+9/10+7/10+8.5/10)/5=8,2 tounge2.gif

Overall, your writing is excellent, the cutscene have good angle and good timing. I didn't found any hint except for the briefcase behind the container in mission 2. Most of the missions are hard, but enjoyable.
Keep up the good work. icon14.gif
I'm waiting for more.

My time to give feedback.

Most of the missions are quite hard, but it's good to me,
all the Missions are really enjoyable and funny. Cutscenes are perfect and there are good dialogues.
I loved that intro mission, it's my favourite in this series.

Keep up the great work.
Ill give feedback for the next missions.

my rating: 7.8
