I've deleted the PS3 version files again, but iirc there's some "ps3install.cfg" or something like that on there where it lists all the files that can/should/have to be installed.

Well if you think about it, although it brings attention to both Max Payne and GTA at the same time, they will have decided a much better time to announce this information. If this information was released along side other information in June, it would've had much more of an impact than it's having right now. That's why you have marketing in the first place, instead of random leaks of information.

That is YOUR problem, these files come FROM Rockstar, even if they don't show it (obviously they wouldn't), the files are from them. I don't see why you can't make the connection, it just shows you have no idea how Rockstar works in development, releated to these files.

Wait I will post a list of every file inside MC: LA if that what you meant? MC: LA seems to be a different engine from what I have seen. I dont think they would use MC: LA engine for MP3/GTAIV/RDR etc ... RDR uses a whole new engine anyway.... Unlike MP3/GTAIV

I'm not sure, but I think the monorail and drug_boat are both Max Payne vehicles, check the handling.dat if you want to know for sure - and that fits the "cover" thing pretty well seeing as how MP3 is mostly GoW style cover shooting sh*t.

But I'm really glad I'm not the only one looking through those files wink.gif

sh*t, I just noticed around 100 posts in this thread are mine. I'm sorry, I don't mean to spam (and think I haven't done that, at least not most of the time) but this topic is very very interesting for me and I just want to help keep it running and new info found.

It goes on to list the 2 other monorails, a train and a 'drug boat'. But it looks like we'll be able to move around inside the trains in GTAV like in RDR (unless this section is for MP3, haven't played it yet tounge.gif )

most of those codes (even if for GTA V) could be just for missions...and not for the whole game.We could move around a plane in GTA IV but at the final mission of TBoGT.

However, I disagree, it's very unlikely all those vehicles are erased in the gta4 development. Looking at the names, it seems much more likely the vehicles are from GTAV.

I'm not sure, but I think the monorail and drug_boat are both Max Payne vehicles, check the handling.dat if you want to know for sure - and that fits the "cover" thing pretty well seeing as how MP3 is mostly GoW style cover shooting sh*t.

DRUG_BOAT is listed under Payne vehicles, but MONORAIL1-3 and TRAIN_CARG is under GTA_Vehicles.

Wait I will post a list of every file inside MC: LA if that what you meant? MC: LA seems to be a different engine from what I have seen. I dont think they would use MC: LA engine for MP3/GTAIV/RDR etc ... RDR uses a whole new engine anyway.... Unlike MP3/GTAIV

I know who you meant tounge.gif lol I dont think they are GTAIV cars tbh.... I think GTAV smile.gif GTAIV/MP3 has many leftovers from games, but none of these are from previous R* titles at alll.

I found somethign funny, note how there is no '#' in front of 'minivan'
So it would mean MP3 loads this minivan, which will also be used in GTAV. biggrin.gif

Just look at the vehicle list, some of them can't possibly be in development for gta 4 or eflc.

That is YOUR problem, these files come FROM Rockstar, even if they don't show it (obviously they wouldn't), the files are from them. I don't see why you can't make the connection, it just shows you have no idea how Rockstar works in development, releated to these files.

I only said I would not believe anything untill THEY show us, i never said that this has nothing to do with MP3 or GTA xx, I just said I had nothing to do V as MP3 seems older and longer planned for release.

Nobody has an idea on how R* works in development, but looking from their previous releases... they seem to leave leftovers from other games, Bully, SA, RDR and prob more...
