CODE
; Title  : Object.dat
; Date  : 03/02/00

(most likely the YY/MM/DD format)

That would mean it's from GTAIII, not San Andreas, considering GTAIII came out in the year 2001.

The date isn't accurate, I've seen files from other games that had absurd values, it's just offline synchronization I'm sure.

Snow in LA? Lol

Remember that the game's not just in Los Santos, it's also in the surrounding areas. We've seen mountains, and mountains can have snow on them all year long. Southern California isn't all one huge area made up entirely of sunny beaches and palm trees, it is quite varied.

www.youtube.com

As someone that lives in the real California, I HATE that stupid commercial with a passion! All it shows is SoCal and the coast. Hell, it doesn't even show the capitol, Sacramento. Some of the best California is the parts you don't see on TV or in the movies. Central Valley for life!

Am I missing simething here 70 pages in one day!!? Whats the big deal over some vehicle files and why on earth would GTAV files be inside the files for Max Payne 3?

You're the first person to ask that. Not.

If real it would hint at details of the game. For example, if there's snowplows in the list then maybe other areas of California will show up in the game.

From what I understand there's a precedent for shared files in the game data. I honestly don't know.

I'd recommend wading through those 70 pages if you want the full story.

I didnt feel like wading through 70 pages to find out.. cry.gif

Thanks for telling me I appreciate it.

These cars from DEPRECATED VEHICLES section obviously was made specially for MP3: brz stands for Brazil. Maybe some of the other cars was made for MP3 but then was DEPRECATED?
By the way, have someone made a list of only new cars, that wasn't in GTA IV files?

Carmods.dat:

# filename:  carmods.dat

#
link
#bntl_b_ov, bntr_b_ov
end

mods
#admiral, nto_b_l, nto_b_s, nto_b_tw
end

wheel

#2, wheel_lr1, wheel_lr2, wheel_lr3, wheel_lr4, wheel_lr5, wheel_sr1, wheel_sr2, wheel_gn4, wheel_gn5

This can't be a file left from San Andreas, otherwise it would have all the car values. Maybe Car Modifying/Tuning is back in V? (Wouldn't doubt, after seeying that Audi R8 in the trailer.)

nto_ = Nitro.
Wheel = derp, wheels/rims.

Yes, the Audi R8 in the trailer did look like it had a modded front Spoiler, the car also loked like it had a Moded/Lowered suspension.

Also, you can see a (I hope) modded BMW in the sme scene, it's the one with the black rims and paint job.

Looked through Clothes.dat and compared to the Clothes.dat that is inside San Andreas's Data folder. The file is identical, every single byte of it.

Ok, so most likely a lot of the files that we see here that hint anything being "back", can just be leftovers from San Andreas. (Which is hilarious, lol.)

Also, as noone seems to have mentioned yet, if you want any more proof "GTA" files are on this disc, watch GooDNTS video on Youtube or download the data.rar that Fantaseb posted and see for yourself:
... among many other things:
- gtarainemitter.xml
- gtarainrender.xml
- gtastormemitter.xml
- gtastormrender.xml

Fantaseb: Yeah, that's definitely the files on the MP3 discs.

They have no .img files inside MP3 ISO so I cant see any cars, and if they do have any .img files I have not found them yet as they are hidden.

user posted image

As you can see nothing in models except .rpf, and that is through the whole game just RPF files.

Yes, I have, you can find the LIST OF VEHICLES THAT ARE NOT IN GTAIV VEHICLES.IDE here, though some of them clearly belong to MP3 (and others not so clearly but do belong there too).

Found ANOTHER San Andreas leftover.

The file ar_stats.dat is just the same as San Andreas'.

Is Rockstar seriously that lazy? No wonder their games won't fit 1 DVD anymore.

Why would Rockstar do that? It makes no sense.
