Merging 69.5 with 69.9 gived good results, Example: Fully Working Paths

 

I hope this is released, so everyone can have fun with their path.

 

Sorry for the file leaking, im not doing it anymore.

 

Besides of that, "SOL 69.9 (StrongAsbull) beta" beta is verry goodd! Map fixes are here. FPS improved, but lots of files missing.

 

Seems a base version of what will it be. I cannot wait for the full release.

69.5 paths crash at loading collisions and 69.9 pahs in 69.5 crash at Setup Paths!

 

Im not using 69.9 with 69.5 merged because it looks very buggy

Well, I used DevConsole, it fixed this problem somehow, very weirdly. Also, MVL is working for you maybe, with III vehicles. Hmmm, in my opinion maybe try DevConsole?

Well, I used DevConsole, it fixed this problem somehow, very weirdly. Also, MVL is working for you maybe, with III vehicles. Hmmm, in my opinion maybe try DevConsole?

 

 

MVL is working great for me. I see all cars that suppsed to be. Im not using these paths anymore, now im using Prince Gummy's paths and Loader and i works perfectly. Some areas of VC are not working, like fort baxter area and Leaf Links

What happened to SOL-O? It will be for later or what? State Of Liberty Online, al three cities in one MP, what happen. I hope it is just suspended after there is a really stable SOL version.

I dont know, Midway is the middle of SOL, as far as I know, but maybe I am wrong, they talked about modern red dead redemption, so I think it isnt going to have an airport.

Im not a member of the team, so thats why I dont know.

I dont know, Midway is the middle of SOL, as far as I know, but maybe I am wrong, they talked about modern red dead redemption, so I think it isnt going to have an airport.

Im not a member of the team, so thats why I dont know.

 

 

 

I say that because, when the port it over to San Andreas you could use the airport thing to go over to the other cities. i know united used it

Oh and... don't forget Reddick florida (Vrock station is based there as said in Vice City)

Its cool, man!

 

It is, but I got ideas of an extension of the desert, and some land between Chicago and the desert, or maybe more land between the islands so the map can be an entire landmass with rivers, bridges, forests, mountains, small towns, or just kept simple. So, simply Midway could have a landmass on all sides, with a parody of the Everglades with Reddick florida underneath, and a simple forest with small towns on the left side. Hope this gave you mapping ideas.

I still think this map would work for a Washington DC map

Marry Christmas to X-Seti, and no worries, take your time, in my opinion, its not a big deal if you cant finish it now, modding can take a lot of time.

Dev has begun;

 

So the long a waited update; firstly I had a good Christmas and I hope you all did as well. This year is going to bring something cool for

SOL in the way of new hacks and new maps.

 

I have re-visioned the map layout and taken into account suggestions for the map posted here and there on this board.

 

Below is some progress updates (Images) for the newly remodelled maps mostly for Vice City right now.

Both versions will be the same. having some issues with the MAP bounds in SA but I'll get there.

its all good.. I got accepted into Sacramento City College so I will be busy with that... although ive been learning how to mod IV so thats another thing thats got me busy... currently I ported a few of my radio stations to ivaud... they work well Ingame

I've been thinking about the radio stations long and hard. It's about copyrighted music authorized for GTAIII, VC and SA by the record companies.

 

I know some modders have swapped them around but this is the thing. The music content is someone else’s property where R was given permission to distribute the content into the given game by a contract.

 

When I was working in the gaming industry it was all about chip tones - look up Octomed Sound Studio (MED) for short. Theres a window version now too and not just for the Commodore Amiga any more.

So for today’s games I am not totally sure how all this works any more. (I am out of date) however I would like to find out how in time and this is one of the aims of the project and that is to learn how the those companies do these kind of things.

 

Now with SOL given this is a non profit project, I have no rights to any of that music what so ever as I do not own it.

 

So where does that leave us..

 

Internet Radio plugins for the mss folder? there is alot of good radio on the web and it's possible to listen to these with a player in game.

 

Ideas and comments on this. Please.

Maybe just give instructions for people how to include radio stations from other games to SOL and it'll be ok :)

I really don't know if this is even possible, but wouldn't it be a possibility to somehow get the data for the radio stations from the original game disks of GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas?

 

Something like an optional install routine which requires those games disks, gets the needed radio station data and converts them automatically to be included into SOL?

That is something to think about. an installer for those who own the original disks or have the steam installs.

 

I will put this on the priority list for next month.

 

Mapping seems to take up my time right now. :)

GTA United 1.2 did something like that, there was a seperate exe where you can install radio stations from VC or III.
