This is the only screenshot they've released, but god damn is it impressive looking! The graphics, the atmosphere, everything. I'm already totally psyched for this game, even though it won't be out until 2013. I still play the living hell out of the first one; it's an underrated classic. Anyone who's interested in good real-time strategy games or even just World War II games, definitely check out the first Company of Heroes. It runs pretty cheap on Steam and it's well worth it's value.

Been itchin' for this seemingly for ages now; the next proper chapter to one of the absolute greatest ever of the genre and PC gaming. So long as they keep the existing gameplay formulae with only relatively very minor and common sense improvements, the same or even better modding support, and just really manage a thoroughly worthy sequel.. needless to say, day-one purchase pre-order, comrade!

Glad to see some people around here are interested in this. For a second I thought this might get swept under the rug, since there's so many good games on the horizon as it is.

Germans vs. Russians, man this will be epic. Sucks that there probably won't be any American/British faction, but they pretty much covered them enough in the first game. It wouldn't make sense to see them on the Eastern Front. Germany still has a lot of vehicles and features to make for new content in this game, and Russia is a completely new frontier to explore militarily. I'm hoping to see the Panzer III and T-34 tanks. Oh, and there has to be molotov cocktails available for some Russian troops.

Now excuse me, I'm gonna fire up CoH and bang out a few matches in the Hochwald Gap. Those ranks aren't going to earn themselves...

I never got into modding CoH. Tried downloading some custom maps a couple times but it never worked out for me. confused.gif

Looks much better. The graphics actually seem from an FPS game. The fire is more realistic aswell, I just hope the flamethrower effect isn't as weird as in the first one.
