A lot of us are upset about GTA V only having one city while GTA San Andreas had a variety of countryside, towns, and three cities. Take 2 Interactive expressed disappointment from the sales results of GTA IV's expansion packs. Providing the same Liberty City with bonus features that were absent from GTA IV, but once standard in GTA San Andreas didn't persuade as many of us as they hoped. My conjecture, GTA V's Expansion Packs will feature the cities of San Fierro and Las Venturas. Same mechanics, same graphic quality, new characters, new missions, new cities.

What do you think?

It's unrealistic to expect entire and complete cities to be DLC

I'm not upset. I'm glad that GTA V won't turn out to be San Andreas 2.

For the last time,

No

Find something else to do with your life other than talk about these two cities. They won't be coming back until another GTA, so get over it already.

There's no point releasing them as DLC, if they have a new city, new characters they have a new game to sell at retail. The episodes were good, it was a shame not many people brought em though.

You guys saying "Los Santos" is the only city aren't thinking straight or out of the box. Los Santos in GTA V represents LA county unlike in GTA SA representing the city of LA. LA county consists of Los Angeles (city), Palmdale, Downey, Long Beach, Pomona, Inglewood (or Idlewood in GTA) Glendale, Torrance, West Covina, Santa Clarity, Pasadena, Norwalk, Lancaster, El Monte, Burbank, and also Catalina Island and San Clemente Island. Many of these have already been confirmed in the Mapping Los Santos thread meaning Los Santos will most likely have several cities making up the county. Don't expect full cities as DLC, if R* are going to model full cities, they will sell them as their own games and not as just DLC.

Yes. SF and LV will not be DLCs. It doesn't make financial sense to spend loads of money developing these as episodes, because they can't be sold at full price and they don't sell anywhere near as well as the main games. Rockstar would make a loss if they did SF and/or LV as DLCs.

TLAD and TBOGT, splendid though they were, just didn't sell well. Even now, the vast majority of people that bought GTA:IV missed out on the full magnificent trilogy experience.

I do suspect that SF and LV will be held back for their own games. So once GTA:V is released, the debate will centre around which of SF, LV and VC will be next. But not yet. After all this is the GTA:V forum, not the GTA:VI forum.

GTA V will consist of Southern California, meaning, only Los Santos. Personally, and I've said it before, GTA V will end on a cliffhanger with the 'money' but the gameplay continues on after. Where does this cliffhanger take us with the money. It leads to San Fierro and finally ends at Viva Las Venturus.

SF is part of NORTHERN California. It's already been stated that GTA:V will reimagine Southern California. So that rules SF out.
