Modding ped files for GTA III

Whenever I drive into Saint Mark's in GTA III, I get shot at with mobsters with shotguns, and it's getting on my nerves. Which file do I have to open to change their behavior?

Main.scm file in data folder - use Sanny Builder to open it. You could change their weapons - find this lines:
0237: set_gang 0 primary_weapon_to 2 secondary_weapon_to 4
I think that number 4 represent a shotgun - change it to 2 (pistol I think) and click run - compile. I'm not sure for GTA III weapon numbers but I'm sure that next two opcodes are responsible for gang behavior:

03F1: pedtype 7 add_threat 1  // set gang hostile
03F2: pedgroup 7 remove_threat 1  // set gang NOT hostile

Just search for a text "03F1: pedtype" and put the 03F2: opcode below that lines (with a same ped number) and that should stop the gangs to be aggressive - then run, compile. And the changes will not occur when you load game - start new game after compiling.
