I remember on my first go around I needed subtitles.

Now, however, I understand him perfectly without (even though I always have subtitles). Just a case of getting used to, I suppose.

I now understand the meaning of words like "Babylon" and all that rasta talk. But I still can't get everything in his sometimes muddled sentences combined with his heavy accent.

I can't understand some sh*t he says, like dwan and stuff like that.Neverthless,I always use subtitles because they make me read faster.

Badman has an epic rasta though,it's incomprehensible.

I usually have subtitles on whenever I play GTA or any GTA game, but having them on in IV does help me understand what Little Jacob is saying, though I am starting to understand him better now without the subtitles.

When I first played the game, I had no clue what he was saying at all, and I wasn't even sure if Badman was speaking English or not. I'm better at understanding him now, but Badman's accent is still pretty thick.

The mission Shadow was funny. Even Niko couldn't understand what Badman was saying. He was giving a Grin. biggrin.gif I am sure Rasta means man and ting means drugs.

I can understand bits of what he's saying here and there. If I'm not sure, you can usually gauge what he was saying on whatever Niko's response to him is.

no way in hell, like most accents ], once you have zoned in and adjusted your ears then they get easier to understand

As with any accent, I usually take a while before understanding. It's not all that hard, though.

jacob, and even badman (even during that massive speach where niko was clueless and it seemed even jacob was) are easy to understand compared to someone speaking in a thick scouse accent. NOW THEY SO NOT SOUND LIKE THEY ARE SPEAKING ENGLISH

I can understand a little bit of what Jacob and Badman say. But generally I need subtitles to understand what they say.

At first I haven't, later, at my Fifth Playthru I didn't even need subtitles, I understood it 90%.
I just love the way he talks.

I agree with above (jombo1a) he should have had more appearance, a Shame that Rockstar cut out being a friend with him!(Hanging out).
I understood what Badman said, he doesn't have much line either ways.
About 85%, but the way he talks is much stranger then Jacob.

I find it hilarious that people like me, who has grown up with english, can't understand a word Jacob says. Yet Niko, an east European with a heavy serbian accent, seems to understand him perfectly. Sometimes I even rely on Niko' replies to work out what Jacob had been asking haha
