No real complaints so far, other than maybe his hair is a little too black at the moment compared to his brown hair in GTAIII.

Besides that, if you get the head working in cutscenes and include the "classic" skin with the original textures as an alternative, this mod will rock!

I'll redo the hair right after I finish his pants. I've found out that I have a short in my wardrobe similiar to Claude's pants. So I took some picture of it and remade the pant's texture...and the model biggrin.gif I'm not a well-organized guy I know...Almost forgot: I noticed too that his hair was too dark.Fixed.

fidox, you are talanted because you have a perfect imagination) really, perhaps it will be interesting to see your vision of other main gta characters - CJ and Tommy, because seems like nobody yet has made any realistic 3d face model. I guess you r the first one here, who managed to make the most realistic remake of Claude. icon14.gif

Thank you smile.gif I tried my model with the original texs too.But it looks like sh*t ingame.The main goal was not to make an HD Claude face but to make a realistic one similiar with the one in GTA3.
I'll upload the latest files tomorrow.It has rigged eyes, eyelids and eyebrows(any further rigging would mess up his face).
And I'm done with his shoes and pants.His jacket's model is done too but I'm not happy with its textures so I'm gonna redo it.If you know any useful tutorial about making realistic leather jacket textures please let me know.

Love it.Please do textures in 1024 x 1024 best for the model.If it hasn't already.Make the import DXT1 it will help with the texture loading problems.

The face model's texure is 1536*768(I think its more than enough).The others are in 1024*1024.What kind of texture loading problems are you talking about?I changed the pixel format to DXT1 but it simplifies the alpha channel confused.gif
What do DXT1/3/5 stand for anyway?It looks like you know more about this than I do.

Research from one person doesn't mean it's a 100% true. I also have done a lot of research on various features of RAGE. I don't share most of it cause I can't back it up other then saying it works for me.

I converted entire IVSA to DXT1, no difference on my pc. It depends on (gfx) memory. DXT5 has a (better) alpha channel, so converting full maps to DXT1 is bad. For characters it's fine to use DXT5.

As you said can't be 100% just because you don't see it helps others i tryed i saw it works well.Me and Yurban tested this i say it's best to follow what the Engine had in first place.

*Edit*
Correction DXT5 is needed for best quality for bump and spec maps.

Its done.I'm thinking on rigging the HD Vercetti model or another GTA3 characters.They are lowpoly as f*ck so it would be a nice challange.What do you think?
