Vehicles will be an ongoing discussion as more things change, plans for them might/will also alter over time, it should also be noted that while this topic is for the discussion of the Vice City version it is also welcomed if discussion into what will happen on San Andreas is undertaken as without MVL or similar software for San Andreas the options for extra vehicles in that game are more limited.
If you find any issues with vehicles while playing SOL this is also the topic to report it in and someone will try and attend to the issue ASAP, we will not be responsible though for vehicles you have modified into the game or added yourself with MVL but will do the best we can to help.

Current Vehicles

We currently have all the Base Vice City vehicles running as normal, currently I am awaiting confirmation of an MVL that is specific to work with GTA SOL before I go on making plans for all the SA and III Vehicles to be included, but I still can add in a couple other vehicles are replacements if we feel like it.

3rd Party Customs
• [SA] 2002 Picador
• [SA] 2002 Greenwood
• [SA] Belmont
• [SA] Impaler

Vehicle Structure - IF we get MVL Running

III Vehicles will be added Via Maxo's Vehicle Loader, Boats might not be included but we have got the Dodo working.
Vice City vehicles will be placed in the respective ID slot and the models will just be replaced with there Xbox sibling.
San Andreas Vehicles will be added Via Maxo's Vehicle Loader, We will try and get some of the vehicles with unique features working the best we can, Platinumserb is working on getting the Vortex working.
3rd Party Customs will be added Via Maxo's Vehicle Loader.

All III Vehicles will be in the "Vehicles" folder with the prefex "3_" in front of the Vehicle name.
All VC Vehicles will be in the IMG File using there normal ID and Space.
All SA Vehicles will be in the "Vehicles" folder with the prefex "SA_" in front of the Vehicle name.
All Custom Vehicles will be in the "Vehicles" Folder with the prefex "CT_" in front of the Vehicle name.

3rd Party Customs

To embrace creativity in more areas of the mod not just the mapping and scripting we will also be adding in and making some new custom Vehicles based on or styled on other GTA Vehicles, if you would like to contribute or have a vehicle to share with us, post it in this topic and if we think it is modeled cleanly enough (No Bugs) and is in a suitable GTA Style we will consider adding it into SOL.

Maxorator has released a new version of MVL (0.96c to be exact), this version now supports self indexing of vehicles, for example we can specify that "Admiral" = "ID 20000" so instead of the Loader just giving the car a random ID we tell it which one it gets, that allows us to specify more car spawns and other features VIA SCM, Great work Maxo.

(Later on May-31-2012)

The whole basic car is now done, I just have a few new damage parts to make up then tinker with the Hierarchy and it'll be time for an IG Test.

(May-30-2012)

Working on making an SA Quality version of my Impaler Sedan so we can use it in SOL, we would rather have all Vehicles in SA or Xbox Quality rather than normal PC Quality.

Well we will be using the III, VC & SA Emergency Vehicles, thanks to MVL we can make them all work properly with the AI, and also do that with the Taxi's aswell.

Will vehicles from the Stories games be making an appearance or will it just be the vehicles from III/VC/SA only along with some of the custom vehicles you are working on?

Well for GTA III, VC & SA we plan/want to have all the vehicles from those games, like all 3 Cheetahs from each game, but for the Stories we would like to have the new vehicles introduced in those game, instead of having 5 of some vehicles.

So from LCS. (I will edit the list below until I list them all)

Thanks for your response ALMOST610 in terms of vehicles which have multiple renditions how will you be choosing the one that features in game? for example with the Landstalker which has appeared in all 5 games which would you choose?

We will have three of them the III, VC & SA but NOT the LCS or VCS ones, at the moment we have all VC Vehicles working, all but 2 GTA III Vehicles working, and lots but not all of San Andreas vehicles running in the game.

What about Hermes 2.0? It's a four door combination of civil Stretch and a Hermes. Could be a new Cabbie or something.

No real news updates, we are still waiting on a new version of MVL to be released which will give us a bit more flexibility on assigning vehicles and making them spawn with scripts, and also to check that MVL will not cause SOL to be unstable, it manages to glide along fine at the moment but with so many changes in the hacks we have to keep checking.

I'll see if there is something I can do, at the moment I am just floating in and out of the Forums, but will probably start returning regularly soon and also get back onto the mods.

Yeah, like you say. But I think this car is named Skoloine too as I remember but its maybe wrong.

Yeah, like you say. But I think this car is named Skoloine too as I remember but its maybe wrong.

Skoiloine name comes from GTA: LCS beta, where this car had be add. Only could be based on R33, not R34.

Re: 4 Door Manana, If I was to do a Manana I would try and model it a bit nicer than that, and perhaps use the SA version or the XBOX Vice City one.

Re: The Nissan, we don't plan to include real life cars like that but there is that chance that a GTA Spoof of the Nissan and some other cars could merge together and form a new vehicle, but again at the moment the main focus is one getting the Main SA,III & VC Vehicles all running, which is simple with MVL, but weather MVL messes with other hacks and such inside of SOL is still another things to worry about.

Essentially, it is waiting for X-Seti to get the map and hacks in a near what could be called Final Stage and then see how MVL Reacts with them, and go from them there with the vehicles.

Sorry for a bump, but does anyone know why MVL doesn't work on my SOL? I have no other mods on SOL, It crashes with a log in the menu.

Yeah there was one with a mix of vehicles converted into Vice City and replacing the original vehicles, but we want to have all of them working alongside each other.
