They invented this years ago, it's called the hoover. I like the fact I have a Henry because I can look him right in the eye.

Henry uses blades to create suction.
Anyway, I really can't imagine prostitute robots from the future catching on, it seems more like a gimmick than something actually useful.

Yeah, since it would require the clients to do all the work!

Does this remind anyone of that show about Real Dolls? There was a guy that even collected them.

MSNBC aired a special on Porn business, late last night, they said the Industry is hurting due to all the free porn out there, I was surprised seeing this airing, even though it's not new news, The report said even sex toys account for them in ways to make money, so I can see them latching on to such things as money generating versus the free avenues out there

Not at all. Platforms of sufficient mobility have been built. AI for spacial awareness is sufficiently straight forward. Like I said, the biggest problem with machines like this is that batteries run out fast, but there really aren't a lot of men who'd outlast one of these machines as is.

This fully rips off the plot from Cherry 2000 btw.

Haha, but surely you could say the same for Henry looking into your eye.

Robot Hookers won't be my sort of thing. I can just imagine hearing the sound of the servo turning and the creepy look of their faces is what turns me off. I wonder if these Robot Hookers come in kits though? tounge.gif

Microsoft's Voice software has male and female, but it's still sounding mechanical, they joke about the ones for GPS, and even in GTA, they replicated that rather well

I think with the voice it will recorded from a real person rather than computer generated like Microsoft Sam or Anna etc

That will sound too choppy. Voice synth is the way to go here. Keep in mind that big part of why synth voices sound so bad is because they are text-to-speech. If instead of the text your chatter system generates pronunciation tables with intonation markers, you can produce voice that would sound very close to natural.

That's one opinion, however, as women are real people, there's another side to consider, theirs

Found this totally unrelated, but watch it and see that there is a real person behind the public image, it's somewhat startling

By 'public image', I also mean the way you think about your "partner" or from the male perspective in this regard...just getting a bit serious, although I posted this for it's humor aspect

When ever I need to activate the OS via telephone. I always get this female voice that sounds natural, but the problem is she should like she's talking to a bunch of preschoolers. Then they update the Windows activation voice with some dude and it seems he ate a whole truck of CoCo Puffs, all hyper and sh*t.
Betters ones are from other companies like Luquendo, Acapela Group, Realspeak, AT&T natural voice, Ivona, and more.
I personally like Ivona the best, but none can beat the voice of a real women.

WARNING: The opinion behind this wall of blackness is probably not the best, and definitely not something you'd want an immature reader to read. It'll also probably offend someone in some way.
There was a video posted on Youtube a few years ago that showed these grown men dressed up like CENSORED AGE AND GENDER doing things out of CENSORED ANIME NAME (ie: riding bikes together, playing soccer, sitting on the couch, undressing each other). I'm not going to link to the video because I'm too lazy to find it, and someone would probably yell at me, but it got me thinking. What if we had robots dressed like anime characters for the purpose of self-stimulation? We've (Japan anyway) already developed accurate representation of quite a few animated genitalia, and the sex-dolls of today look like an early 20th century man's representation of a surprised prostitute.

The face on that robot looks terrible, but if it had the face of Fasalina, or Kittan it would sell easily, even outside of the demographic that usually buys that sort of thing.

If we were to use the body of anime characters we'd be outside of the uncanny valley, and still be able to humanize the face of our lover.

Any pre-recorded voice gets old fast. Have you ever had one of those talking action hero 300x architecture super omega man toys? All they ever say is "OH YEAH!", "GEAR UP!", and "LET'S BLAST EM!", even 1000+ phrases are going to get boring eventually and make you turn away from your partner. If we could get AI to sense mechanical stimuli/moaning patterns/temperature well enough, and have them respond to it appropriately with text-to-speech software that sounded human we'd have a decent voice for a sex-doll, but until then love shouldn't be spoken by robots, at least in my opinion.

I never understood what people find attracting in anime. Why would you want to have sex with something other than a human (look a like). They don't exist and are just cartoon, you are not going to f*ck barbie dolls either.

I would prefer a real life person over a robot even if it's more expensive.

Why are people so homophobic with regard to GTA gaming content then, ?? Tell ME why?! It's much the same thing, uncomfortable with sexual material perhaps? In any regard, getting yourself off is the goal! At least in these terms

Can we please continue this discussion on real dolls with this news:

http://www.huffingto..._n_4815495.html

How great is it that people can be whomever they want?

Of course we have to also talk about Valeria Lukyanova:

Just wait until the consumer version of Oculus Rift hits shelves and all of the porn/hentai games come out. Combine that with those automatic jacker-offers and we won't ever have to worry about over-population again.

I can't wait.
