Hi, before i'm going to quit making maps i've managed to spend my time to re-imagine DiRT tracks to IV!
As for first map i wanted to make a LandRush track with few extra rally cars as bonus.. U'll see them by the weekend or later biggrin.gif
Have remade the track to an island and i'ma thinking about vertex alpha blending and tesselate this track a bit to make it smooth..
I've been trying to vertex color it today, but it turned out kinda weird ( not like i wanted ) so i guess ingame screens will come in few days!

Stay tuned for more.. And my next track is going to be snowy Rally track of Monte Carlo cool.gif

It's a part of lod model from DiRT 2 track, since there isn't proper tools for that is the rest rebuilded and hand made by me in max. Like i did with Maple Valley.
You can not actually call it 'convert from other game' it isn't '100' procent original from it. It's alot easyier instead of making something yourself from scratch and i'm really bored by Cityscape now biggrin.gif

My next things on to do list are:
> Smooth the track
> Vertex Alpha blend
> Some self made racing event things
> Trees, bushes, low poly grass

and maybe more.. icon14.gif

Stop allowing people to get the impression that it was mostly made by you. The entire track is converted from a lod straight outta DIRT and the coast is made by you.
You did a great job, just don't take credit for what you didn't do.
I don't understand why you haven't simply make a whole new track from scratch using 3dsmax's path deform modfier, it's piss-easy to do and allows creation of complex tracks(/roads/anything that curves) very fast. smile.gif
What would the conversion rules say about this?
Also, if you want to make sure people know what parts you modeled and what you parts you didn't, take a picture of the whole map and then add an overlay of color to demonstrate what areas were made by whom.
I may sound negative, but in this case its warranted.

@MegaMario1500: It'snt inspired, it's a overlay of DiRT 2 what i just simply use to make it compatible for game like an island and not flying piece of land.

@Frank.S: I'm not taking whole credit for all this, allready mentioned that in first post and second title of the topic. I'm re-imagining it with my own stuff and with IV's later. I will show and credit people for that when i'm done with track.. The reason cause i'm not making whole thing from scratch cause i don't have mutch time like i use to and i'm sure everyone would like to have some real offroad track instead of something original.

I'm not sure, how this all works tounge.gif really don't care about it, since there is alot of people did it allready.. Example: SPA Circuit, Hill Valley, Maple Valley etc..
What i do understand is that ShakingAss was converting whole Assasins Creed: Brotherhood directly into Rage Engine, what was really useless imo tounge.gif

Allowed: Minor content from games.
Not allowed: Complete conversions, latest examples: AC to IV, LC to SA.

I would consider this as minor content, it's only one track, and just the base of it.

still conversion, it counted as converion as well when i used an engine of J2 for a car I've made.

It's just stupid

You never read the rules ,do you?
Conversions from other games aren't allowed, unless you get permission, which probably aren't going to happened.

But if he just using the model as the base, not re-using it, it's fine.
