We have a winner!!!!!
I'd trade my Challenger in on that quicker than you could drop a penny.
If I got one I'd ditch the Chevrolet badges for the Holden badges to make it look like that lol.

Not a fan of the wheels, but with some big-dish concave BBS-style multi-spokes, la M3 CSL and I'd be up for this. In the acidic green, with a Lysholm twin-screw charged LSx and about 700bhp.

Does anyone else see the similarity between the wheels on the Calais version and those on the RX8? Looks like whoever did the render just nicked them straight off.

Front-end of the Calais reminds me of Benz.

snip

The wheels on that photoshop are from the gen 5 Camaro.

EDIT
To all that think these are production cars, they're not. They're all photoshops except the NASCAR stock car.

lol.

These are renders from the NASCAR Chevrolet SS, since it's pretty much the same thing, photoshoppers got creative. But it will look very similar to these renders.

I think the blue one I quoted will be the closest. The green one and red ones came out before Chevrolet showed the NASCAR for the first time.

If it wasn't for the fact it said VF on the number plate it looks like the front end of the Holden Cruze.

My thoughts exactly. If the VF looks like a bigger Cruze then I'm completely put off them.

I've got a 2008 VE Ute currently. I didn't mind the interior until I drove a Series 2, perhaps it was all the wonder of the Holden IQ. confused.gif

That seems to be the design cue Holden have taken unfortunately.

I don't like how Americans think if you have a big sedan, it has to have an automatic. That's one part that I think BMW has always got right was the availability of a manual in their bigger sports sedan (5 series) lineup.

10k cheaper or not, that does kind of take the luster away from a driver's car. Especially since GM doesn't have a really good, fast-shifting auto or DSG box like everyone else these days.

I doubt it will be cheaper, GM is touting this as a low volume car here in North America so dealers will have a big mark up same as Ford dealers did with the BOSS.
The Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300C were not designed to have a manual from the factory as per what the engineers say(BS IMO), where as the SS/Commodore has been. Gm is also calling this a "4 door Corvette" but last time I checked there was no automatic with paddles in a Corvette. When it comes down to all the bitching the regular people and big publications like Jalopnik ect have been doing about the lack of a real gearbox, I believe Chevrolet will indeed change their minds about this option before release. Another thing they're f*cking up for the SS over the commodore is color options. the Commodore gets orange and a bunch of other cool colors.....the SS gets, silver, red, black, white, and whatever shade of green mystic green is.

I wonder why they actually did that. IIRC Ford used the BF Falcon for at least 2 years as a V8 Supercar even after the FG was released. confused.gif
