Can someone tell me the name of that big fella that helps Uncle Jr. around? I always seem to miss it.

I have to agree.

he's a big f*ckin' teddy bear.
legit earner, but definitely a lover before a fighter.

his father Bobby Sr. is the primary reason why he's even in this line of work.

Nice t-shirt btw. Did you get that on The Sopranos tour by any chance? I would love to get the chance to go on that. Apparently the guy who played Vito Spatafore was the giude on a few of the tours!

Nah I think it's from e-Bay! My ex girlfriend got it for me. What's this Soprano's tour? Sounds interesting.

I love that video, well edited.

My best mate went on The Sopranos tour. He got me a signed photo by the guy who plays Vito.

He sits in a car and at the end of the tour you can get a signed photo of all the boys off him. They take you around Satriales and shot like that. Love to do it.

I was thinking of starting a Sopranos themed GTA V gang, can't be bothered with making one now as GTA IV online has gone down hill and the community is full of gimps, but as soon as GTA V is released that's what I'd be looking to start.

@El_Diablo: The strip club in Alderney is based on Satin Dolls, a strip club in Lodi, New Jersey, however...that is also where Bada Bing was filmed!

I have a Bada Bing t-shirt!
[IMG]http://i.imgur.com/j24KjsL.jpg?1[IMG]

Where did you get that Wreckless Jake? It's an awesome shirt! But the only ones I could find just had the Bada Bing and the girl but I like the extra detail that one has, it feels more real.

I just looked on e-Bay and found it here

Bobby is one of my favourite characters, I watched the episode Pie O My recently and enjoyed the scene where Bobby comes out of his shell after the death of his wife and intimidates a union guy. I liked him in season 5 and 6 the best, especially when he beats Tony in a drunken fight. I was genuinely devastated when he got whacked in The Blue Comet

The Sopranos tour sounds awesome!

On episode 3 now. I'm thinking the bear will have some significance, like the ducks did. My guess is that it symbolises Tony's family is going to be in danger. I'm loving how Frank Vincent & Steve Buscemi are in it now... and also Robert Loggia. All great actors. icon14.gif

Yep. But there are two parts to it; Seasons 6A/6B. So it's kinda like two seasons. They were also aired in separate years, '06/'07.

Confusing, I know.

Just out of curiosity, did you purchase the whole complete box set? Or did you buy each season?

sh*t I hope he didn't pay a dime...

they want something like 200 bucks for the complete set which is overpriced.
not to mention that it's so easy to find every episode online for free.

I downloaded at first but because I was so in love with the show I got the complete box set, it was on offer at the time in HMV for about 25 instead of the usual 60.

You can get the full box set here for around 50-60 quid. Can't be f*cked working out what that is in USD, but I'd say around 100?

Well worth it for a series of this quality imo.

I agree 100 bucks is well worth it.

but here in the US, the box set will cost you 200 unless it's on sale.

Just finished watching Goodfellas again. It's definitely a different experience since I've been watching The Sopranos. So many familiar faces!

Anyway, I will be starting season 6 tomorrow. icon14.gif

Episodes 6.2/6.3 are going to baste and roast your brain more than any previous Sopranos episode. Proceed with caution.

Got season 5 to start again. Look forward to it. I remember season 6 getting a little slow as I think it was a sort of 2 seasons mashed together or something. I don't know.

season 6 got off to a slow start because of Tony's gunshot wound and Vito's homosexual subplot which were not originally supposed to be as big of a deal as they became. David Chase expanded on those storylines a lot more than he intended during the draft phase because he thought season 6 would be shorter than he was allowed to make it.

when he realized he had enough room to basically write 2 more seasons (might as well be 6 and 7 instead of 6A and 6B) he decided to develop the sh*t out of Tony and Vito.
the dream sequences. the social issues. this is the content that - in hindsight - would come to define the whole series; the deep exploration of the human psyche and our own moral landscape. this stuff had always been a part of The Sopranos for sure, but it had never received the kind of attention to detail that it enjoyed during the 6th season.

and it almost never happened.
if HBO had decided to wrap the series any sooner than they did, then season 6 would basically just be the second half "6B." most of the stuff that happened in "6A" would have disappeared and/or been cut.

@Diablo

I didn't know that, regarding Chase's initial intention for season 6. Pretty interesting. As for everything else you said, you're absolutely right. Season 6A certainly isn't one of my favourites, but it's still pretty good.

EDIT: btw, totally did not expect Uncle Jr. to shoot Tony... mercie_blink.gif

lol.gif yeah...

during season 6 it becomes pretty much official; Junior isn't faking his mental illness. he's straight up demented.
it's funny. but it's also sad. Dominic Chianese easily pulled off the best acting job in the entire series because after Tony, Junior was the most complex character by far.

f*ckin June Bug!
he's the man.

^ What a scary pic! lol.

Just finished episode 2. Great stuff! I'm guessing the dream Tony is having while in a coma symbolises he is tired of being Tony Soprano? Anyway, loved it! Pretty emotional episode for me, I must say.
