nice theory, but do you really think that r* put that number in their trailer knowing that they would give information on this day?!
cmon guys, so this means that r* knew 6 months earlier that they are ready to reveal information on this date?!

well iŽm still hoping that weŽll get news in may, but i think the number is only an easteregg (you know the birthday of sam houser)

...or it could just be a wild coincidence.
If I recall correctly it only appeared once in the whole trailer, and the number could just be the house number, don't tell me you've never seen a house with the address placed on the sidewalk..heck even I have it on my sidewalk also, the date the song of the trailer was released could just be another coincidence.

But I could be wrong..it's Rockstar after all..

I thought it was on a couple of the license plates too? Maybe I'm wrong

All i'm going to say is this 25/04 might be trailer 2, and 24/05 might be the release date

Might as in a possibility, sure. Many things are possible. But this May 24th as the release for the game seems very unlikely as only a trailer has been shown and we're a little more than a month from that date. I know of no AAA title that has recieved such little info before release. Also, it has yet to have a GI cover, which (to the best of my knowledge), every major GTA since Vice City has had one. We have less than a month to see if it happens for the next cover. This theory has historical past going against it and I believe it to be nothing more than optimism speaking in its support.

Maybe R* doesn't want to reveal too much info of GTA V, and want to keep it a secret this time round. And not have it on the cover of GI magazine anymore

@kesta195

I agree

Sure, it's a possibility as much as anything else, but as I showed, very unlikely. I can choose to believe that R* will release the game tomorrow, but that, like your hypothesis, has historical evidence going against it. It'd be wiser to go with a release date that has a little more going for it than just optimism and vague numbers.

Damn this theory is getting more and more annoying. What will you people do if, and probably when, nothing is even shown on that day?

mass suicide.
its not coming out then, it really isnt.

Now people might not believe me, and think it's impossible, but i have good a feeling that GTA V's release date is the 24th May 2012

For example

1. Sam Housers 40th Birthday 24/05/1972
2. Glasgow Rangers (which most likely Sam Houser is a fan) won the European Cup on 24th May 1972
3. Many clues in the GTA V trailer = 24/05
4. A hint in the TBoGT end credits = 24/05
5. If you add 11.02.11/02.11.11 from the trailers release date = 24 + 5 (from the GTA V)
6. GTA V's trailer music 24th May 1968

just a theory

2304: Trailer 2 countdown
2405: trailer 2 release
0606: E3/GI magazine
1810: release date

Find the blue topic aye? wink.gif

Well if that is anything to go by, then there's only 8 days till the reveal of trailer 2 countdown panic.gif

Edit: @ hendo

You might not have been here back then, but there was a topic mid last year called "where is the blue" with a poll that had 1102 and 202 as answers. 1102 was the release date of the first trailer and if you add 202 days - you get May 24th.

Cool story bro, but AAA games don't get released in under 2 months after the release date has been told (which has not even been told).

Yeah and we've had 1 trailer. That's it. If you really think that the game is coming may this year, you're going to be very f*cking disappointed.
It's more likely that the game comes out in May 24th 2030 than in May 24th 2012.

End of story.

Well, on May 24th, we will all wake up either to something new, or the same crap for the last 6 months. Only time will tell, and if not, E3 is in June; One extra month won't kill any of us, will it? I am pretty sure, not even pretty sure. ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE. That R* will say something at E3 regarding V if not -- their just plain stupid.

It only seems reasonable that Max Payne gets all the attention right now. I'm not sure about a GTA V trailer about a week after the Max Payne 3 release. However, I'm quite confident that GTA V will be released in late 2012, otherwise I don't see why they should give us a teaser trailer as early as 2011. Secondly, speculation and rumours suggest that the next generation of consoles are coming in late 2013. If that's true and assuming that GTA V will offer some DLC content (Episodes From San Andreas?), then it would seem too late if GTA V is released in early 2013. GTA V is a huge title and it needs all the time the current generation of consoles have left of their lifespan. Last of all, I think Rockstar is cooking the most incredible game ever and they know it themselves. No need to reveal too much too early.

The first V trailer was released before MP3 was delayed so basically f*ck all will happen except Houser will get a big cake for his 40th!

Sam Houser was born end of november 1972. (Read it in the book "Jacked" by David Kushner).

Why would he be a fan of Glasgow Rangers? He is not even Scottish...
