it has nothing to do with the game, how is asking people if they are good at surfing related to the game itself? and obviously there would be quite alot of people surfing in LA/socal so are we done with this thread already confused.gif

I wanted to know how high the chance is, that there are surfers in the game.

Oh jesus, just spell out southern california. It's not that hard. Socal sounds like a stupid catchphrase invented by ditsy valley girls to make it sound "Cool".

Meeh, no. It would fit in Saints Row, but not in GTA.
Go play this if you really want to surf in a videogame.

What that makes no sence
How does that not fit in gta.
Oh so criminals don't surf. Then they probrobly dont bowl either. Maybey they dont work out either. come to think of it I don't think they eat either. Stop smashing on peoples ideas cause you won't do it. Gta prises itself on the fact that there is something for everyone. Race fans. future marines, and even sims fans. If you dont like it dont do it.

After reading your post, and also noticing that you are from the US... God have mercy on your soul, cause I really don't know where you are going to get to with such a bad grammar.

It needn't be an activity, but scripted NPCs, surf clothing and vehicles favoured by surfers would give that realism to the area that Rockstar seem to be keen on.

I doubt there will be a surfing mini-game since I can't see mid-40s outsider, Ned Luke surfing. I can't really see the Hispanic guy surfing either, since he looks kinda thuggish.

I used to surf, so I can tell you that neither one even comes close to fitting the profile of the stereotypical surfer.

Additionally, R* would likely do a painstakingly horrible job of accurately portraying surf culture, which would annoy me, to say the least.

These are completely different things. You can't compare surfing to working out or eating.
And I stated my opinion. I didn't smashed his idea, dude. Chill out.

Unless it's just a static model. Like the bike with the missing front wheel at the house on sale.

Why not driving yourself, if you live near a street and got a car? If not, why not steal a car? And buy guns, kill people and so on..? suicidal.gif

I see enough of it when I go past the beach, so yeah there are. I f*cking hate them all though, so I'd prefer they stay out of GTA V. Well, I can see them as peds that I can (and most definitely will) kill. But aside from that, I don't want to surf.

What do you mean? Collecting informations on internet about LA/SoCal or surfing on waves at Manhattan Beach?

All i want to do is to see the new clothes shops, activities, cars, weapons etc, but not to surf.

Surfing i think would be boring, but driving around being chased by cops or other players online is way more fun and entertaining all at the same time

Surfing means they would have to incorporate waves into the ocean, a first for R* .

But that's what locals call SoCal.

OT: yeah there were about 50 guys at Dana Point a couple Saturday's ago.

Well, if there is a stormy weather there should be waves on the beach/ocean. Would be a great addition to realism and I'm pretty sure they'll include it.
