I've tried reinstalling my drivers but same thing and only thing that seems to fix it is atl+tab but then it comes back in like 5-30mins pretty random. On the latest patch 1.0.7.0
I know it's not my system because its enough to play gta iv
xfx 6870 1gb
althon ii 640 x4 3.1ghz
4gb ram
win 7 32bit
Anyways how can i fix this i been banging my head trying to figure this out all night. I been searching google and can't solve this.

this is what i have in cmd line
-norestriction
-restrictApp 0
-refreshrate 50 -framelimit 1
-memrestrict 1073741824

when it bugs up

Do you have the orignal game? If you have, do you use crack?

Add this command too:

-availablevidmem 5.0

It should work. smile.gif

OK, delete all the content in your commandline and add this:

-norestrictions
-availablevidmem 5.0
-percentvidmem 100
-DX9 /low
-frameLimit 0
-nomemrestrict
-novblank
-noprecache
-minspecaudio

This one is mine. Having no probs and no lags. smile.gif

Now it might be your PC problem. Try to defrag your C: Drive which would have made your PC lag.

Instead of using all those switches, just use memrestrict and try out a few different values. When the game is having problems, there is no sense in forcing anything.

DX9 /low doesn't even exist.
