Now, if you excuse me, I'll go back to being a hockey fan
Yea, you having a baseball team in Canada is like us having hockey teams; odd. Even though we have 90% of them down here lol
So the statistic I posted about the BJs:
I was listening to Mike & Mike and they have a stat from 100 years of data to predict the World Series winner.
The last 6 teams in the American League that had a run differential greater than 130 over the next American League team, won the World Series. The last time it didn't happen was in 1914.
The Blue Jays have a RS/RA differential of 229 (873/644), which is 136 more than the next (Houston: 699/606 - 93).
I tried to look it up but got bored lol Though, the Yankees did it 3 times I saw. 1998 Yankees had the best RS/RA of 309 in the past 60 years. 142 over the next best AL team.
So, if you have a spare $100, go throw it on the Blue Jays to win the World Series.
Well, they was discussing that with 3;4 games left in the season and it ended up not being 130. At the time, Toronto Blow Jobs had 229 (873/644), which was 136 more than the next (Houston: 699/606 - 93). By the end of the season, it was BJs 221 (891/670: 18/26 4 games) and Astros 111 (729/618: 30/12 3 games), which was a differential between the two of 110.
Astros won 21-5 in one of the last games, so that helped lol
So the stat wasn't true at the end of the season, hence they lost.
