So how about those Blue Jays? Just won their 10th in a row. Can't remember the last time there was this much hype about baseball in Canada.

And this weekend is the most important week for both the Blue Jays and the Yankees.. they're facing each other and Yankees just snapped their streak last night after a clutch pinch-hit 3-run homer from Beltran; though it was a VERY great game from start to finish, the bottom of the 9th made me feel like I aged 5000 years and almost had a heart attack.

Good Series between the Cards and Giants. Cards take 2 out of 3 but every game was close.

Giants are hurting right now though. Two games out of first but have Pirates for 4 games, Cubs for 3 and St Louis again for 3 games next weekend. The Schedule is not that part th at scares me, The Giants are right up there with those teams...When they are healthy. Pence, Panik, Pagan on the DL. Forces Belt to play Left Field, Posey to First and Susac to catch. Not to mention a couple of off the radar rookies splitting time at 2nd Base. Although I will admit Kelby Tomlinson is surprising with the bat.

And the Giants need Leake to get healthy. he rotation is just not very good outside of Bumgarner and Heston.

So, the Mets were down 2-7 after the 3rd inning but ended up winning 16-7.

Batting order 1-7 for the Mets hit a home run - An MLB first

8 Home runs for the Mets - Franchise record

11 Home runs in the game - Ties NL Record

10 players hit a home run - MLB Record

Lots of firsts and records this year.

Was watching the Yankees @ Braves game, a fan fell 50 ft off the stands and actually passed away later on at the Hospital.

This is the 3rd accident I've heard of this season which is already way more than I usually hear every year.. my condolences to his friends and family. Hopefully MLB does something in the near future to keep fans safer, I know some accidents are from fans not paying attention to the game but at times there are accidents that just happen.

Pretty cool sight at yesterday's Tigers - Blue Jays game. After already hitting two home runs in the first and sixth, Edwin Encarnacion hit a grand slam in the seventh giving him the hat trick. And just like when someone scores three goals in a game in hockey, the hats came raining down.
