The one that was about the 2014 ws being the worst ever because the Yankees and Red Sox's were not in it?

Its because people dont get baseball.

You have to realize the situations change after every pitch. If there is bases loaded with no one out and the count is 0-2, It is a completly different situation than Bases loades no one out with a 3-0 count. What pitch are you going to throw, what is the hitters tendencies in each count, is he a pull hitter or does he go Oppo, is there a chance for a squeeze play? All these things you have to take into consideration and stategize for.

Managers in Baseball get no where near enough credit. It really is a tough job that imo is one of the hardest jobs in pro sports.

Giants might not have won 1 world series in the last 5 years is Bochy isnt the manager. Yet they have won 3 and its much in part due to his knowledge of how to make use of his bullpen, and how to utilize his players.

Look at this. In game 7 of the WS this year, with a guy on Second Nori Aoki hits a ball down the line that should have been a game tying RBI Double. Yet Bochy and Wotus (Giants Bench Coach), put Juan Perez almost on the Left Field Line knowing that Aoki has tendencies to slap it that way. Game Saved Giants win WS. Without that shift Royals most likely win the WS with the Bullpen they had.
 http://youtu.be/YJmwofDYOeo?t=1h23m36s

I was at game 7, I still suffer from the memories. There is only way to get over it and that is the royals winning the world series. I hate Joe Buck and Madison Bumgardner so much, Bumgardner is the only reason the giants won. Well if last year proved anything it is that the good guys don't always win. The thing that really sucks is that the giants will be back next year and the year after that, the royals won't, it is nearly impossible for a small market team to repeat and the royals window of opportunity is closing. Teams like the giants can buy their talent year after year while the royals spend years training players who may or may not work and then after a few years in the big leagues end up going to a team with a 150 million a year payroll because the royals can't match their offer.
I would hate Bumgarner too if I were a Royals fan. :p
But don't go on saying Giants buy championships. That is insane. Posey, Belt,Panik, Sandoval, Crawford, Bumgarner, Vogelsong,Perez, and Ishikawa were all brought up in the Giants farm system.
I get though. When the Giants lost to the Angels in the 02 World Series, I hated the Angels for awhile too.
Yes they were brought up through their farm system but they had to pay too keep their players, the royals have to let their players go when they get expensive.

Well, thats how baseball works.

No wonder the Royals were sh*t for 30 years.

Guys like Panda and Prince Fielder might be big, but they're natural athletes. They might not be the fastest or jump five feet straight up like Mike Trout, but they use what they got well. Although this isn't the case with all ball players with a gut. I love Bengie Molina, but he was just a fat guy that could hit on occasion and knew how to catch.

I'm sure Boston fans aren't strangers to guys like Pablo anyway, I'm sure he'll do fine... despite me not wanting him to because my Yankees have to face him on a regularly basis now.

Anyway Pitchers and Catchers report today! Baseball is basically right upon us finally.

Yeah the 20th was for most, so I guess NOW it officially starts

Anyway.. pretty pissed about the news today, woke up to finding out that MLB will speed up the game with new rules including speeding up the start of the game by having the player and pitcher get ready in less than 30 seconds before the first pitch.. also batters must have at least one foot on the batter's box, break any of those rules and they get a warning or a fine.

This is freaking ridiculous.

eh, its not too bad. They could do much worse. When they get a pitch clock that will be pushing it.

Thing is, they do have to speed up the game. And when hitters step out to re adjust there batting gloves 5 times per AB it is a little much.

So Moncada goes to the Red Sox I think it's too crowded over there they already have good players at every position so far but he's like a year or two away from reaching the majors anything could happen.

Josh Hamilton is supposedly in trouble. Rumors say failed drug test. But no official word.

I'm fine with never seeing him swing at balls five feet out of the strike zone again, which would probably mean never seeing him swing a bat again.

Sucks to hear how he's been doing the last few seasons, I still remember back in the 2008 Homerun Derby where he clobbered balls left and right out of Yankee Stadium... by far my best memory in MLB (or at least top 5)

It's been officially announced that Hamilton had a relapse involving cocaine and alcohol, and confessed to it.

Best part was when he showed up via Helicoptor in centerfield already dressed in the white sox uni.

Recreating the Michael Jordan entrance in Space Jam was brilliant.

I know it's just Spring Training but this Kris Bryant guy is absolutely raking the ball.. 8 homeruns already while going 12-25!

Gonna be interesting seeing him soon in the Majors, wonder if he can keep it up.

Yea that guy was dumb for calling a 12 year old a slut. I mean come on.

But honestly, I agree that it's dumb to make a movie about her. There have been tons of girls in the LLWS so what makes her so special. She was good don't get me wrong but she wasn't that good.
