I can't believe the A's collapsed like they did.

I know what the f*ck is wrong with my A's there going way down hill if they keep it up there not even making the playoffs

What could be worse than winning 100 games in the previous season, to being 8 games behind and having lost 70 games, this season?

Im gonna say being 9 games back and losing 71 games. :v:

Giants better not blow this. Division is looking less and less likely but they need to at least get the Wild Card.

Pretty cool thing Bryan did today, it's fake but I'd love to see him do this one day in Broadway

Also after the losing streak the Yankees just started the last 4 days or so... I can finally say that they're not making it, they had great opportunities and they lost like 3 games to walkoffs in that span?

At least I get to see Tanaka pitch one last time before the season ends

Hope we get to see the Beltway series

The Angels didn't clinch the division, their magic number is still at 2. They were completely destroyed by the M's last night.

They are guaranteed at least a wildcard spot, though. Ya'll know my thoughts on the current state of the wildcard.

Edit: NOW they clinched the AL West championship.

Wouldn't give up on them yet, but it's obvious that if they do manage to make it.. they won't last long, or even probably get eliminated in the wild card game.

Well atlanta dropped to 11.5(it was 8 at my previous posting), and have lost 76.. They have no hope of going to the playoffs.

Even if they do, they'll just be a one and done like always, post their last World Series appearance.

I know I come off as a Jeter hater. I don't hate him. Like El Diablo, I think he's a great shortstop, and Yankees fans should feel lucky to have been able to watch him every season. But beyond NY, he doesn't mean much to the rest of us other than our admiration for his career. We're not going to cry when he's gone. We won't miss him. We will look back and say he was a good ball player and "an okay person."

That said, I can't wait for Fox and ESPN to sh*t the f*ck up about him.

The rest of us want them to shut the f*ck up about Mike Trout. ;)

Yeah, I know.  I both love and hate the idea that they're lining him up to be the "next Jeter".

But if he continues on his current path, and plays as many games as Jeter, he will end his career as the greatest player of all time.  So, it'll almost be justified.

No he has a point, while people complain about Jeter's spotlight.. I've been annoyed about Trout's spotlight all season, I know he's a great player and all but they're throwing out names like "Legend" or calling him the best player of all time and all...

Also I can't believe I threw down my Yankees so easily, we're getting hot now when the games count. Though with 4 games behind (thankfully Seattle has been struggling lately) and about 8 games left(?) it's starting to look bad.

The best thing about this is that the season actually comes down to the final week, makes it pretty exciting.. something that I've been craving for years instead of having them clinch a week or two before the end of the season.

Aren't they 5 games up in the second wildcard spot? Yeah the WC sucks, but it's something. I still am holding out hope that the Dodgers collapse.

@Zello, that's good old fartolo. Glad he didn't have to bat while he was an Angel.

Yea 5 games up. I mean it would take a miracle now for them not to make it but still.

They are tied with Pittsburgh for the top spot right now. I think we can take the WC game though because Bumgarner is one of the best pitchers in the MLB. But Pittsburgh getting homefield makes me a little bit nervous.
