I have been searching for a release date of this game. I keep finding a release date of March 31st and yet, I cant buy it on steam so I am assuming its not going to be released till later. So has there been any news on the date?

You must be living under a rock for the past 12 years if you don't know that Valve releases games in Valve time.

Valve has stated that once the game has been approved by the community and when it comes out of beta, which has been an estimate of early next year. Then they will release the game.

Right now, CS:GO is in very early beta, where invites are scarce and hard to get a hold of. I hope that answers your question.

Like others have said, it will be released "eventually". VALVe's release format these days is "Release a beta on PC, make users fight for it, wait years to release the final product: tounge.gif .

They really need to improve on how some things look.

Especially the nades. It looks like a f*cking golf ball when your character is holding it.

To be fair to VALVe, they only hold back games until they believe they're good enough. Can you name a bad VALVe game? (Except Episode 1 but that wasn't so bad)

Which basically means Valve time.

I have tried the beta and I can say that I definetly won't play it again. Doesn't feel like CS.

Well I guess I was wrong about VALVe, for once. The release date is August 21, for $15:

I probably will not be getting it though, even though I was planning on doing so when it was announced...

My bad, guess I should have bumped the other topic for it.

Thanks man, I look forward to playing it... I use to get down on it when I was a kid... I'm glad they're bringing it back. Took long enough...

Source engine is a marvel of software engineering.

The last truly PC-optimised game engine in my view. Everything since has been lazily-engineered console fodder.
