How long do you think it'll take for the PC gamers out there to get their copy of GTA V? I have an Xbox 360, but I see no point in using it anymore simply due to the fact I have a gaming computer that blows it out of the water. But the only downside to this is that the PC version always seems to come out much later, with the console versions being the first ones to come out.

So my question to you guys is, how long do you think we'll have to wait for GTA V PC? 1 week? 1 month? 1 year?

I'm hoping that the PC version is released within a month. If not, I might have to bite the bullet and pay out the ass for the 360 version, sadly. Which is something I really don't want to have to do. suicidal.gif

8 months, we're definitely getting the PC version in 2013. Also hope It's not a port.

GTA IV took 8 months to come to PC, so I think V will likely take some 4 months to be adapted.

Not a chance buddy, that would drop console sales, they're gonna promote the PC version after the GTA V heat is down.

On a more serious note, no-one knows for sure. On the one hand GTA:IV's PC edition came 7 months after the console releases. On the other hand, they are making efforts to release the PC version of Max Payne 3 just a few weeks after the console editions, so maybe this marks a new trend.

So no-one really knows except Rockstar and they ain't saying yet.

If I have to end up waiting 4 - 6 months for the PC version, I'm getting it for the 360. No if's and's or but's. Lol.

I dont have xbox or ps3 and i'm not gonna buy one for GTA. If i should wait 8 month, i will, but i seriouly hope that the pc version is coming less than a month or two after console release. That stupid to release it almost a year after console, i dont see the point. cry.gif

GTA IV came after several months,
RDR never came
LA Noire took like 4 months after they decided for a PC version
Max Payne will be 1 month.

As we can see the time period is getting slimmer. This is due to Rockstar becoming more and more worried about us PC gamers.
I think it will be from 1 months - 4.
If GTA V comes in 2012 They will try to get it on PC that same year

I'd probably say the PC version will come out about 3 months after the console versions.

This is better for me because I'll be bashing GTA V on the 360 getting used to the surroundings, complete the story & having fun in multiplayer before I get the PC version then I can do it all over again. And hopefully they will include the Video Editor for the PC version like they did for GTA IV.
I hope modders will make Simple Native Trainer for GTA V!! Which is epic for making movies/montages/machinimas. biggrin.gif

Well, I bought a PS3 a few months ago. So, I will buy GTAV on PS3 if it's for consoles only (Unless we have to wait a small time).
Once it get's to the PC I will pirate it to make mods. I'm not buying the same game twice.

Rockstar is finally starting to adopt Steam's cashing cow.

I wouldn't be surprised if we get the PC version just few weeks after the console release.

Also, this: http://www.rockstarg...and-google.html

It's pretty obvious that Rockstar is starting to like PC gaming, again. <3

@goin-god: You're a true disease of PC gaming.

Luckily MP3 is coming to Steam instead of the stupid GFWL.

Get out of this thread you nob, you are part of the reason games companies don't make games for PC.

You're gonna buy worse version and download for free the best? Maybe you should do vice versa? Or buy both. dozingoff.gif Or you aren't playing on PC anymore?

Yeah like one person will make a f*cking difference.

Grow a sack and do something about it, instead on bitching about it in the internet.

Would it kill them to add support for what is now legacy (old) hardware? Most store bought PCs can't run the PC version of GTA IV or EFLC due to GPU deficiencies.

gta4 was not a gpu intensive game. it was CPU hog. runs fine on my rig tho.

Can't compare PC and PS3 version.

PC advantage: Mods
disadvantage: Hackers

lol as if there was no hacks for console games already.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a release at same time with the consoles, before the difference of time was because of the "exclusives" with MS and Sony paying a few millions to get it on consoles first and trying to make the sales launch. That didn't happen and I read that both said they wouldn't do it again, was a waste of money that didn't produce the results they expected.

With the Wii U launch I think this time GTA might not be another lame port from a lower system to an higher configuration with few better textures and will be optimized.

That would be the smartest thing to do, otherwise they would see what happened before with the console boys buying the game for their console 1st and then get it illegally for PC and say "I bought for console I have the right to get a pirated copy now".

Make a simultaneous launch and lets see who sells more ... take Skyrim as an example.

Actually, yes, a single person will make a f*cking difference. Try to look farther than yourself, and you'll understand why.

Based on Rockstar's treatment to PC gamers,it will come out after 8 months or one year later after the release of console versions. They will port the game only after releasing console versions.Maxpayne 3 is different. It is not famous as GTA and they want every single dollar to break even it.In case of GTA, console versions are enough to make a huge profit.R* north will use their full resource to polish console editions.PC ports are usually done by inexperienced R* studios.

To fit in modding, new features, updating things. I would say at the least 1 month, maybe more.
