R* hasn't announced yet but we will see if our rig supports the game. My rig might go to Minimum. What about yours? The trailer indicates that there will be high Video Quality. Do you have all the latest parts for your PC? Poll your answers.

Also, discuss which devices will be required for playing GTA 5. Latest Direct X would be required. Of course I have used the search feature. It is same like Guess the Release Date topic.

Rockstar hasn't even announced it for PC yet so I'm not 100% convinced it is coming for PC although I hope it does.

They really need to optimize it much better than GTA4, sort out the shadow problems, make better use of hardware and improve frame rates. They've had enough time to sort it out if the port, if it is as bad as the IV port then I really will have lost respect for the company.

I hope Rockstar can give us much more information in this matter before I buy the game.

i doubt that would even run the game at minimum.. most games now to even run at lowest with a decent framerate would need quad cores and a gtx series graphic card for nvidia

Kudoboi most games don't utilize four cores, so a dual core with a high clock speed is fine.

I will meet minimum requirements if GTA V is a poorly coded as IV, which i really hope not, otherwise i should be fine.

It will probably run average even on good systems while keeping graphics to low.

@kudoboi: Are you kidding me? I have pretty much the same specs as DizzeeXL mentioned, but I run GTA IV on Medium pretty well, Crysis 2 very smooth, Metro 2033 on high (PhysX disabled) and Skyrim on high settings works flawless. So quad core being minimum? There is a chance, but I don't think so, because I don't expect GTA V to be any more advanced than IV in physics or anything else CPU heavy...

It will probably be like VC after III - new area, missions, characters but same engine and almost the same physics.

GTX 560 Ti 448 core
i5-2500k
8GB ram

I think it should work on atleast High settings (if Ultra High is highest).

If we are lucky we will see GTA 5 PC in 2014.But most likely they will choose RDR path.

They're releasing MP3 for PC, I bet we're gonna get V few months after console release.

...

Of course not. And do you know why? Because RDR is from San Diego and so far they developed games only for consoles. Like the first Red Dead game. And if that were the case why did they bring out LA Noire for the PC? Also don't forget the upcoming Max Payne 3..

Every main GTA was released on PC and it will continue with V. I am even sure that the next pc version will come only weeks later or a few months instead of 6-8 months as usual.

About the system requirements.. it's way too early to discuss about that. Let's wait for requirements of Max Payne 3 somewhen in May or earlier and we can compare these to V. After all both games will use the same engine (most likely).

i am more than confident both my desktops will comfortably exceed the recommended requirements.

EDIT: 8 gig RAM seems popular, its what i have also... i have a friend with 12 gig RAM, soon thatll be the fashion.

PC port will be done by Leeds and the improvement is evident through L.A. Noire , despite the game not being on RAGE, they shown that they CAN get the job done if they want.

What I'm saying is , that the game won't lag and will run consistantly on PC this time round'

Yes it would. If it was San Diego game which is not. Last non-SD game from R* which isn't on PC was GTAVCS (2006).

PC port should be done by North. Or even more optimistic scenario - developed for PC, not just ported.

Runs GTAIV on max settings, even with an AMD:

AMD Phenom II X6 1075T (OC 3.5Ghz on 6 cores)
XFX Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GPU
8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
Samsung F3 1TB SATA III HDD
650W Corsair PSU

I'm looking to upgrade it to an Ivy Bridge setup this year for GTAV!

Intel Core i7 2600k @4.50GHz
Saphire Radeon HD 6970 2GB
16GB Corsair Vengeance (4 blue ones)

And knowing my "awesome" computer, it will lag as f*ck.

I had a lot of problems trying to run GTA IV in my pc, so it won't be able to run GTA V for sure smile.gif

But f*ck that, I prefer consoles.

AMD Phenom X4 @3.1 Ghz
4 GB RAM DDR3 1333 Mhz
Nvidia GT 430

I think my pc is a "average" one. Probably low-medium settings.

My guess for the min. spec:

AMD Phenom X3/X4 @ 2.0 Ghz
4 GB RAM
GTX 550ti/GTX 460
