Awh, I used to love zip-lining. Anyway, since the synopsis doesn't reveal many references to pop culture or anything in the news, it might focus on being funny.

I think this was actually one of the better episodes of the season. It could have done without the 'real people' bit, still hilarious though.

I like these kind of episodes the most.

when they don't focus on issues or pop culture but just make a fun story about the 4 boys.
this is when South Park is at its best.

Hmm South Park has defiantly had it. Its not Matt and Treys fault, there trying but they should let it go. There out of ideas as all the broad references they have already used so there just pretty much having to do anything thats brand new (Memes is a perfect example).

Th..Tha..That's all folks!!

Well at least for a few months, looks like we've hit the mid-season break. Probably not back until September or October.

Which did you like so far?
    Reverse Cowgirl
    Cash 4 Gold
    Memes
    Jewpacabra
    Butterballs
I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining
    Cartman Finds Love

I liked Reverse Cowgirl and Butterballs the best.

For the record, that was Wendy who kissed Cartman wink.gif

I haven't had a chance to watch all the episodes yet this season, but I did catch Cash for Gold and thought it had very salient message.

Butterballs was so f*cking good. In fact, the last 3 were the best of the run. I think they describe it as the point where they aren't as focused, so they just get a little silly and simple. Often times, those have the best outcomes.

I dunno, Cash 4 Gold was pretty good. The rest had their chuckles but weren't so memorable.

I thought the Cartman finds love episode was absolutely terrible. They have changed cartman so much from how he used to be. Not in a good way either.

I would argue that what happened in that episode actually falls in line exactly with Cartman's personality.

a lot of the time he does things that racist or sexist or vile without even realizing it because he has been setup as a very gullible, immature, and sociopathic character. he's so utterly shallow and trapped in his own worldview that his behavior (trying to setup the 2 black kids because they "belong" together) is actually not surprising at all.

I thought it was a pretty funny show and right up Cartman's alley.
he's done this before; trying to be "good" because of some weird, morphed sense of morality or mental delusion (Cupid-Me).

it's definitely not the first time he's acted like this.

agree to disagree.

it's still the most offensive, raunchy, and outrageous adult comedy on TV.
I love it.

Butters Goes Native doesn't have a point and it doesn't need one.
many South Park episodes are like that. not all of them have a message.

sometimes Trey and Matt just write stories. that's all there is to it.
there are plenty of SP episodes that just revolve around the boys and some whacky adventure. in fact, the majority of SP shows don't have a point. obviously they love to make social comments about current news or memes, but it's not their only focus.

I loved Insecurity. I couldn't tell, but was the old guy in the bar the same guy from earlier seasons who says, "you don't wanna go down that road. Lotta history down that road."?

yes he was

so far the 2nd half of this season has been fantastic for me. Sarcastaball is up there with my all time favourites.
Raising the bar was the worst of the 4 imo - but still very funny
insecurity was like watching old south park, it was that kind of misundersanding by the parents (in particular randy) and the over-reaction that is jsut classic south park
butters goes native - classic south park insanity, sinking a cruise ship witha golf ball hahaha

Like a lot of South Parks the story is obviously relevant to American news, so the whole Hawaii tourist thing kind of passed me by but I got the gist of it. The second half of this season has been pretty good so far, Insecurity was an absolute belter of an episode.

Yeah i was aware of the split-seasons between spring and fall but this time it just kinda snuck up on me.

till 2014, eh? Honestly, i hope they just lay the show to rest by then. I'm a massive fan, but it's time.

it's for everything South Park related.

last night's episode was great! one of those instant classics.
pretty much my favorite show of the season so far.

aside from just being really clever at every corner, it was a great homage to The Shining.
