Also Thanks, I will have to add more Generic Things, I just tried to match some things to the LOD map, I have not actually added in the Whole Beta Airport that would be about a little less than Half of it, I also still have a few things to model also so other bits can be added.

Yeah I will have to fix the Radar, but that will be the last thing I do, also I am not sure if I should modify MAIN.SCM or not to remove the military vehicles, or is there a way using CLEO that I can stop them from Spawning there.

Perhaps someone can help me with some Coding on that one, I would rather remove them with CLEO than Modify the SCM so people don't have to start new games, I would also like to remove some weapon spawns that are now floating in the Sky due to the Military Buildings being removed.

Edit the paths/delete them. That's what i did.

It does, the skimmer. Plus it is possible to add plane handling to other vehicles, so not a hug leap to think flyable jets are possible smile.gif

obviously this needs some more tweaking, but you get the idea.

Not much progress as I have been working on this mod when I had a quiet day or school so possibly some more things could get done today or in the next week.

I've been trying to do a proper handling which resembles a real plane, not just a tricked skimmer for a while, but none of the methods seemed to work.

Tried vehicle loaders, and other stuff, but the closest I've got to making a proper plane is reproducing the rcbaron, with a different model, like the model of the dodo. It works, but lacks working propellers, and other pieces of the wing (turning rudder, and stuff).

The problem with the skimmer is that, it's damn nearly impossible to take off from ground with it, and even with some editing in the handling.cfg file, it makes sparks on the ground, which destroys the illusion of driving a plane. Although, with several collision tweaks, I've got rid of the sparks, but then you need to get rid of the sound which is associated with the collision you have chosen to replace the original one.

On-topic: The airport is nice! Looking forward to the release. smile.gif

ALMOST610, no no no. The interest doesn't die, i like your work, love your beta airport! Please, continue it. Then when it's done you can join to ManDog with his beta mod, quality of his mod the same as your mod has.

I am facing a little dilemma with this mod, so as seen below that is the thing everyone calls the "Ghost Tower", but if that is the ghost tower can you tell me what is to the left of it in the next picture.....

To me it kinda looks like another Radio tower already used in the game at the Airport. It could be another Ghost Tower though...

Wow, i see the second Ghost Tower first time. Well it looks the same as the first. Almost, even i guess you should make Ghost Tower's shape like LOD of it has, at least model.

Thanks, it is good to see that people are still watching this mod, I said I would complete it and plan to stick to that, I just did not give a time frame so I can work on and off on it.

But btw, why do people want beta stuff? Like there is a Beta GTA 3 mod as well. What's the reason?

I'll be posting some more updates when I complete some more modeling to the place, so stay around for them... perhaps in the next couple days or during next week.

I think people like Beta things as it is kinda showing us what the game could have been if it was not what it is now, I am sure you and many others have been playing GTA's and other games and thought "I wonder what it would have been like if they done this, or done that..." well beta mods are showing people things that could have been.

I wont because that is not the goal for this mod, the goal is the create the Beta Airport.

see no offense but what's the interest of your mod . i mean we already have an airport why having a second low res one and most of all an area that is among VC most unpersonal ones ?? if you would have done Miami beach or ocean drive i would have understood but the airport , i mean there's nothing special there ??
