I am so glad the Ravens pulled out that victory. Being a Raiders fan it would piss me off to see the niners and Pats in the Super Bowl. Here's to a Ravens win and Ray Lewis going out on top! Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl 47 champs. Joe Flacco MVP. Final score: Baltimore-24 Niners-14. John wins the Harbowl!

I felt his poor performance against Alabama would drop him to the second round. Wonder if this story will affect his draft position.

Guy had a great season, won awards and was a heisman finalist... is it necessary to judge his last game against a college dynasty? If he does well at the combine, he will be a 1st round pick, hands down.

I am annoyed with the over reaction of the lack of 'minority' coaches that were not hired... at all during this off-season. "Andy Reid wins 4 games and everyone wants him, Love Smith wins 10 and doesn't have a job" - Chris Rock

I was watching that there might be a new proposal to the Rooney rule. Just ridiculous, in my opinion.

I'm in favor of the Rooney rule - it gives dudes a chance who wouldn't have gotten a chance otherwise. Let's be honest - these owners don't know or socialise with many folks of color. With the Rooney rule, at least you get your foot in the door, and maybe impress the owner like Mike Tomlin did.

I applaud the NFL for what its doing. They're not they were decades ago, when black head coaches / QBs weren't even in the discussion.

As for Te'o, you have to be a little concerned. He had a poor performance against the cream of the crop (SEC). What's going to happen at the next level? I hope he can step it up, because the G-Men need stud LBs.

My team: The Green Bay Packers only lose to the eventual SB Champions in the playoffs. So, Go Niners!

But I do hope Colin K breaks his ankle though...

I agree with the Rooney rule completely, but i feel like they are forcing the issue on NFL teams to hire a minority. Owners don't need to know or socialize with anyone they don't want, I mean they only pay 8-9 figures for a NFL team, they have the right who they want or don't want leading their franchise. I'm sure most owners have advisers on scouting head coaches, so they know what is available and what not. Plus, race is irrelevant in a league that has more minority players than majoriity; so to speak.

How about they imply a rule for at least one white runningback and one african american punter per team? Thats what it is coming down to and its dumb as f*ck that the league is focusing on what teams are hiring/interviewing minority coaches rather than other relevant issues.

LOL@ Woody Johnson stating Tim Tebow was 'forced' on him by Mike Tannenbaum. This is the same dude who said he couldn't get enough Tebow. Woody is full of sh*t. The Jets braintrust is making Mr. T the scapegoat for all the team's failures. Meanwhile, Rex Ryan gave his stamp-of-approval on all the personnel moves, so why does he keep his job? And what coach gets a do-over after four years?

Funny thing is the GM they hired is like Mr. T, a cap/financial expert, not a football guy. So who evaluates and picks talent - Rex?

Jets remind me of the Knicks under Isiah - a total laughingstock.

@Funktipus: As long as the jets dont implode before trading a 1st or 2nd round pick to the Seahawks for Matt Flynn. tounge.gif

It doesnt make much sense with their cap "struggles" ( i say that laughing hysterically).

Junior Seau's children and ex-wife are suing the NFL and Riddell (the company that makes NFL helmets) for negligence and wrongful death.
the grounds for the suit are that NFL executives, doctors, and Riddell scientists failed to acknowledge the connection between brain trauma and long-term mental/physical disorders, even though they apparently knew about the danger for years before attempting to change the rules of the game.

yeah Super Bowl halftime shows have been sh*t-garbage for at least 10 years now.

in fact, I don't even remember the last Bowl to feature a respectable act.
the Rolling Stones don't count because it wasn't just the Stones; they had to share the stage with Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.

Beyonce is ok in the sense that she's not utterly terrible. she's not Gaga or Bieber at least.
but she's still just forgettable, crappy, pop music.

I really get tired of this crap.
is it so much to ask for a halftime show that would actually appeal to the men and women that watch football? let the Stones have the stage to themselves. bring out The Who. get Led Zeppelin back together. maybe even Pink Floyd. AC/DC? how about, at the very least, stick to real musicians who know how to entertain real people. I'm sick of the pre-recorded lip-synching, 50 back up dancers, 3 costume changes, and laser light shows. it's just an excuse to get up and go get another beer because who wants to watch that crap? we're not 15 year old girls.

how about some guys playing guitar, drums, bass, and actually singing good ole rock and roll?

The worst and most disgusting half-time performance I have watched was 'The Rolling Stones'. I've never seen so much loose skin flap in my entire life, it was distracting. Not being a listener of that music, it didn't help I couldn't enjoy the music itself. I don't care for half-time shows anymore... nothing can top Janet Jackson.

The only halftime show I watched was Prince's. He's the m-fing man. He can rock & funk with the best, and no lip-synching either. Other than that, I take bathroom breaks during halftime. Just give me the damn football game.

F*ck Beyonce - overrated, overhyped & overexposed. Can't take that b*tch. She's on the same level as Fergie, Rihianna & Ciara.

I can understand your feelings on that, considering I was at the Grey Cup in November and our treat for halftime was Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen. I don't think the target audience of the CFL is 15-year-old girls, but hey, like you said, another excuse to get up and grab another beer and take a well-needed piss.

For some reason, I can barely remember last year's halftime show, considering I was pretty baked, but I do remember when Fergie was singing Sweet Child O' Mine with Slash on the guitar two years ago. Slash was awesome, but my god, did Fergie ever butcher that song. I'm pretty sure my ears bled.

I agree with El Diablo. The SB Half time shows have been mediocre to say the least. Like others have said its a great time to grab another brew or some times i flip the TV to another channel temporarily.

On a side note, I am so f*cking glad that Cris Carter finally made it into the Hall of Fame, as well as Bill Parcells. Its about time.

Wilson won Pepsi Rookie of the Year (fan voting) RG3 won AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

And yes i'm irked that neither Wilson nor Wagner won their respective awards (outside of the aforementioned Pepsi award).

But it'll add even more fuel to the Seahawks' fire. Yikes.

Ah the Offseason. Cant wait to see the moves some teams make. Cant wait til the draft. I'm hoping the seahawks get a pass rushing DT and a Weak side Linebacker to replace Leroy Hill as well as some possible help on the Right side of the Offensive line.

I can't wait to see what the Jets do with Revis. You think the 49ers, Falcons or Packers could use a cat like that in their secondary?

As for my Giants, priorities are linebacker, secondary and offensive line. Plus they have to get this Victor Cruz mess straightened out. They cut Boley.

Even the Seahwaks are looking at Revis. How insane would that be? Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Richard Sherman, and Derrelle Revis on the same team. Yikes. Doubt it'll happen though. The Seahawks like to take a look at everyone just in case.

OMFG...Revis on the Seahawks wouldn't be fair. But you'd have to give up a #1 to get him(maybe more if he's 100%).

Giants also cut Ahmad Bradshaw and Chris Canty. I hope they're able to bring Bradshaw back. He gets hurt, but he's a tough runner and can pick up the blitz, which is critical.

The thing is the Jets new GM used to be the Cap specialist for the Seahawks. And we have a player they desperately need in Flynn. At least some one to get rid of Sanchez and Tebow.

I doubt the hawks trade for Revis. But if they do i think the most they give up is Flynn and maybe a 2nd round pick. Funny thing is the Seahawks the past few years have been better at drafting in the later rounds as opposed to the first. Okung and Thomas are the only starting 1st round picks by Pete and John and both were in 2010. Last year we got Carpenter (he was actually pretty good at LG but he cant shake a stupid injury that should have only sidelined him one or two weeks and then we Bruce Irvin who's good against the pass but he's a total liability against the run.

Giving up a first round pick would be rough but at the end of the day the Seahawks wont pursue Revis much and if they do get him it wont be the outrageous price the Redskins paid the Rams to get RG3.

Good move in my opinion, Vick just fits right in with Chip Kelly's system. The only other quarterbacks that would be better for the job already have a team, So it was a smart decision.

Dwight Freeney & Charles Woodson were given their walking papers. Still a month left before the free agency period hits. It's going to be crazy this year.
