So, I'm considering downloading GTA IV for Xbox 360 due to my PS3's disc drive bring messed up, and its the most convenient way to get GTA IV it seems, and I was wondering, will EFLC work fine as DLC, or will the disc version be required?

You can't download EFLC. You have to download GTA IV and the indvidual DLC's which require GTA IV to play.
You get both episodes, but you will miss out on EFLC exclusive TV and Radio, however all the radio updates to the stations that are in IV will be there, even on original GTA IV. You also won't have to change discs when you change from GTA IV to an episode, or visa versa, but TLAD DLC MP won't work with TLAD EFLC MP, because TLAD DLC only has the TLAD map updates, where TLAD EFLC has the full map update and runs off of TBOGT's map.

Why not download it on your PS3 instead? It just seems odd if you've started the game on the PS3, and the drive has messed up, ...so you buy the game digitally on a completely different console. tounge.gif

This. You can buy the complete edition off PSN for about 29-39$

I've got 3gb's of free space on my PS3, and 230gb's of free space on my XBOX, plus a few of my friends have IV on XBOX, and I prefer the controller.

If you owned a PS3, you could get episodes from the PSN digitally without needing GTA IV. It came to PSN last week or so...
