The Marchese Crime Family.

Vitorio Devanchi's Era.(1950-1957)

In the 1950's, a man named Vitorio Devanchi was making a whole lot of trouble around the Manhattan area with his "friends". Devanchi and his "friends" would most usually, steal cars, straight of the parking lot, take them to a garage, re-model the car, so that no-one would know that the cars were stolen, and then go on the streets and sell the cars. It was a way to make money, and they were bringing in a lot of it. Vitorio also owned some gambling rackets, strip joints and even social clubs. All these businesses that he had under his finger tips, were making him a lot of money, and even more profit each month. Despite Vitorio's businesses being worth over 2 Million Dollars, no-one ever tried to steal anything, because they knew that Vitorio was untouchable, and if they even looked at him wrong, they'd take a beating.

So, a while later after making this money, Vitorio and his "friends" decided, that they deserved more than what they had, so, they got in touch with some "muscle", and began to make themselves a name, this name was : The Manhattan Mob. They had their crew's, their joint's, their respect, their money, and their reputation they also "ran" the Manhattan Area, nothing ever went on in Manhattan without Vitorio and his men knowing about it.

When February, 1957 came along, their was some argument's over power within the Mob. The underboss, Vincenzo Godaz and Vitorio Devanchi had fallen out, due to the fact Vincenzo wanting to become the Boss of the family. A lot of people believed that Vitorio was getting to "power-mad" and that Godaz deserved to be put up to the Boss of the Mob, and that Vitorio should settle down, and forget about the "mob-life". However, Vitorio did not agree, and kept denying that he was getting "power-mad" and he believed if he "retired" the Mob would fall. Then, suddenly when March, 1957 came, Vitorio was killed, with 17 bullet-wounds to the head and chest, and was found in a trash can in an alleyway in Manhattan. The police suspected Godaz, although had no evidence what-so-ever on him.

Vincenzo Godaz's era.(1957-1965)

After the death of former Manhattan Mob boss, Vitorio Devanchi, it was decided by the caporegime's that underboss, Vincenzo Godaz would become boss, and take over ALL of Vitorio's businesses. The businesses and the members of the Mob didn't mind the change, because most of the people within the Mob knew that Vitorio was getting "power-mad", and as for the businesses .. they didn't care who they was paying, and who ran them, they just wanted protection and the pay that they were receiving.

In 1960 Vincenzo began to set up another racket, a drug racket. The mob was getting "pure-cocaine" and putting them into separate bags, each bag was containing a gram of "pure-cocaine" each. They were selling the cocaine on the streets for 50 dollars per gram, the cocaine being one of the most expensive illegal-drugs, it was bringing a lot of money for the Manhattan Mob.

As time went by, and 1963 came along, it was time for Bertie Compolopa, Inducted member of the Manhattan Mob, to be "bumped" a "step" and become a Caporegime, and take reigns over a crew in the Manhattan Area. When Bertie was given the chance, he accepted the offer, and made a set of 25 men which were known on the streets as "Muscle", he called the set : "The North Manhattan Crew", and based them in the North of Manhattan. Bertie used a strip joint named, "BADA-BING" which he owned as the front of the crew. It was a front because in the back-room, there was often gambling going on with "VIP's" and "Regulars", there was also some pornographic video's being filmed featuring a few of the stripper's from the joint.

In 1964, the New York Police Department had been monitoring the Manhattan Mob's inducted members for a while, and they had been getting a lot of information and proof from the CCTV, Wire's and Informant's that they had set up in the Manhattan Area. So, as time went by, and newly announced caporegime Bertie Compolopa and his men begun to sell a new drug to the Mob, Marijuana the NYPD had more movement and more evidence to get a hold of so that they could take down Vincenzo Godaz, boss. A few weeks later after all the NYPD's evidence is filed, they begin to show themselves around the Manhattan Area, driving around, and walking around patrolling the area, looking for any evidence they could find against Godaz.

After seeing the NYPD continuously patrol the Manhattan area, Godaz decided to "Bump" Bertie Compolopa to Underboss, and Bertie gave his crew/set of "muscle" to his Right Hand Man, Salvatore Sancez. A couple of weeks after the "bumping" of both Compolopa and Sancez, the NYPD raided one of Vincenzo's own social's, which was used to hold Cocaine in the back-room, and they had a warrant. The NYPD barged into the bar area, and then into the back-room, finding all the cocaine, which was over 200 Grams in piles in big brown bags. There was also a "fresh" dead body in the back-room, lying in a pool of blood, with a Glock .45 sitting next to him. The NYPD rushed back out, and took Vincenzo down, and arrested him. The NYPD took the Cocaine into evidence, but before taking the Glock .45, gave it to the forensic team to find fingerprints, to see if Vincenzo was the murderer.

A few days later, it was confirmed that the finger prints on the Glock .45 found at the scene were in fact Vincenzo's. A few weeks later after that, Vincenzo went to court, and he was given a life sentence, which the Mob nor Vincenzo agreed with. This then made Bertie Compolopa become the Active Boss of the mob, whilst Vincenzo sorted things out via the visiting times. After a while Vincenzo had had enough of the life sentencing, and hung himself and after a while died from the suffocation which the rope used to hang himself with put pressure onto his neck.

Bertie Compolopa's Era.(1965-1971)

A few years after the death of ex-boss Vincenzo Godaz, the Mob was still running how he wished it to be. Bertie Compolopa didn't change any of the rules that were set before he became boss, because the Mob was already running great. In 1968, it was a time for violence with The Manhattan Mob and the Harlem Black's, but, Compolopa decided to make a truce with the Harlem Black's leader, Carlton Backrat, meaning that no-one would step in to eachother's turf without each of them knowing about it, and agreeing to it. Also, there would be no "whacking's" from one to an other, unless it was necessary and that it was agreed between both the Black's and the Mob.
After the agreement to make the truce between the Mob and the Black's, it was also decided in between the mob, that they would begin to open another Gambling Racket, a Casino. They opened this, as Casino's brought in a lot of money, due to the fact that people get into the Gambling to much, and then spend all the money that they won. So, It was decided that Inducted Member John Compolopa would run the Casino. Also in the backroom of the Casino, there was Illegal Gambling going on, Poker was the biggest one that they were making the most money off of.

Despite the fact that the business was going so well for the Mob, the Casino making the most money of all the businesses, the Triads, from Chinatown began to go inside the Casino, and they caused quite a lot of trouble, they began to violently harass customers, and began to start fights with Manhattan Mob associates. Compolopa then set a meet with the Triads, two years after what they did, in 1971. The triads agreed to the meet, and Campolopa and a few men went along to the Meet, in Chinatown's "Triad Restaurant". Despite knowing it was the wrong decision, Bertie told the other two inducted men to go, knowing that they'd be killed even if anything went down. Although they didn't want to, the two inducted did what they were ordered and went back to the Casino.

In the meeting, Campolopa was offered drinks, and treated with respect, until the Triad Leader came in, and sat down. Campolopa offered the Triad's a truce, to stop all this violence between them, but it seemed that the Triad's didn't want to truce, and so they wouldn't. The triad's then had suspicion's that the Mob would come back and try to take over Chinatown, they took Bertie out to the parking lot, to his car, shoved him into the boot as the car was unlocked, and then shot him 15 times, dead.

The body of Compolopa was found the next morning by a man who was going to his car, named Chin Loue. The body went through the normal process, and was identified as Bertie Compolopa. When the Mob heard about this, the Caporegimes had a meeting, and all agreed that Caporegime Salvatore Sancez would become boss of the Mob.

Salvatore Sancez's Era. (1971-1990)

After the death of Bertie Compolopa, previous boss of the Manhattan Mob and Salvatore Sancez was picked to be the next boss, Sancez chose to make some changes, he decided that it was time to pick a new Underboss, and the person picked for that was Caporegime, Eugene Marchese. He and Sancez also picked a Streetboss, John Compolopa, son of the last boss. It was also agreed, that the BADA-BING strip club would re-open in the North of Manhattan, and to be ran by Underboss, Eugene Marchese. After opening both the Casino and the Strip joint, they needed more money, as they spent most of the money they had into the Joint's. Despite them thinking that they needed more money, they had the joint's they had before and the Strip Joint they just opened which were all making tons of money, and tons of profit, meaning they didn't have to worry about money.

A few years later, 1974, a new caporegime was "bumped" from an inducted member, his name was Toby Devanchi, and it was his turn to take over The North Bronx Crew, seeing as no-one was running that crew anymore due to most of the bosses dying, meaning the Mob was in need of the best capo's being "Bumped". A few months later from the "bumping" of Devanchi, things were running smooth, and The North Manhattan Crew literally was the biggest thing in Manhattan, everyone knew about them, but nobody ever tried to approach them, because they knew if they did, they'd take a pretty hard beating.

In 1975, there was some conflict between the Harlem Black's, and the Triad's, despite the truce, Manhattan didn't get involved, they were still trying to set some things straight within themselves, and if they had gotten involved in a war, there would have been to many deaths to deal with in the troublesome times they were in.

Despite the fact that the war was on, the Mob decided that they needed to start selling more Cocaine, mostly due to the fact that the Cocaine made a lot of money in 1950-1960, but then it wasn't being sold as much, so.. They began to sell more cocaine, but this time they hid the cocaine in brown bags, and drove a van around, with a legit business being advertised on the side of the van, making it less obvious to the police that anything illegal was going on. Also the Mob then began to meet in alleys or buildings to do the deals, instead of out in the open on a street, this was to keep the "heat" on the Manhattan Mob lower and lower, until eventually they wouldn't have any at all.

As the Mob was making money, and expanding their businesses, the war was still on, in 1979, but, it was obvious that it would be over soon, and the "winner" was obvious, it would be the Harlem Blacks, they had the Triad's outnumbered, and also had the better advantages due to the fact that they had businesses which were weapons laundering, which meant they could get the newest and best weapon's, and the Triad's wouldn't even know about it, and they would get drastically beaten.

A year later in 1980, the war was over between the Harlem Blacks and the Triads, and the "winner" was Harlem, due to the fact that the Triads were outnumbered and they had the Disadvantages, they had older weapons and they didn't have many businesses which could help out in the war, but the Blacks did, they were well organised, and were ready for a war. A few weeks after the war, the Harlem Blacks offered to help the Mob with their Cocaine selling, if the Mob was to give one business to them. The offer was accepted, and the Mob got a Pub Landlord to move his business down to Harlem to help out his "Buddy's", this meant more money for both of the allies.

Ten years went by, and not much happened, the Mob was just selling the drugs along with their allies in Harlem, and also they were just making the money from their "legit" businesses as they were, and nothing important happened for a whole ten years. But, after the 10 years had gone by, and no trouble was seen from the Mob, Sancez decided that he would be safe to go to "WALL-MART" alone, but it seemed that this was not a wise decision, as someone was waiting for him outside the WALL-MART, in the parking lot. It was one of the remaining Triads. When Sancez got out of his car, and walked to the Trash Can to put his rubbish from the car in, a Triad came and Knocked him out, and took him into a car. The Triad then drove the car to a lake and drove the car straight into it, him "vaulting out" of the car just before the car hit water level. Sancez later drowned before he could regain consciousness.

A few weeks later a man going to the lake to do his weekly fishing, found the car and rang the NYPD, who later confirmed the body to be of Salvatore. The capo's then met once again, and chose Eugene Marchese, Underboss of the Mob to become the Boss.

Eugene Marchese's Era. (1990-2010)

The year 1990 was an era for everything, the money system changed, and you needed more money to buy something, you earned more money of things that weren't worth much, it was working out good for the Manhattan Mob, they were earning money of all their businesses, and the cocaine now was making the most, due to the fact it was worth more money in the 90's. Despite the money rolling in, the Mob was losing money due to the fact that most of the associates, which owned a business were dis-loyal, and were moving to a "Commissioned" family, thinking that they'd make more money, get more respect and thinking that it would be way more easier, although .. it wasn't easier at all, due to the fact there was more in-family conflict, and more wars going on when in a "commissioned" family in the 90's.

Then, a few years later in 1992, it seemed that there were more "Gangs" coming into Manhattan, and the Mob also knew that they needed a change, due to the fact that Manhattan was no longer running as good as the "old days". Despite the fact that they had businesses running in Manhattan, the Mob decided to "move themselves" to Los Santos, and re-name themselves as The Marchese Crime Family, this meaning they would have to build there reputation, and their businesses back up again, except for the cocaine selling, which was the easiest to set up, due to the fact they still had vans and lots of cocaine which only had to be moved.

A year after the move, in 1993, the family began to re-open social clubs that were small-time when they were still in Manhattan, also a few Italian Restaurants were opened around Los Santos, they were fancy, and were bringing in quite a lot of money. Then another year went by, and business was running smoothly, and money was rolling in like the old days in Manhattan, so, Underboss of the family, Toby Devanchi, decided it was time to re-open BADA-BING but in Los Santos, so due to the decision that he made, he bought a ex-strip-club building, and re-furbished it, to make it the same layout as what the BADA-BING in Manhattan had, meaning that it was just the same, yet in another location.

In 1995, boss, Eugene Marchese decided that a new caporegime was needed, so bumped Inducted Member, Matthew Zaffarano to Capo', and gave him a crew, which went by the name of "THE RODEO CREW", this was a big responsibility for Zaffarano, due to the fact that the name of the crew, was the one that "sponsored" the whole family, and if he made any mistakes, or any of his members made any mistakes, it would make the Mob look bad, meaning Matthew would have to take the consequences for making them look bad.
A few years after Zaffarano got the "bump", it was soon the year 1999, and it was December, the restaurant businesses were getting the most attention at this time, due to the people wanting a meal before the year 2000 hit, which was a big hit for the whole world, due to it being the next thousandth year. Due the fact they were big, they were also doing Italian-Style Christmas meals, which were gaining a lot of attention, due to the fact that Christmas was only a few weeks away, this meaning that December 1999 was one of the most biggest months of the years for the Marchese Crime Family, due to the fact it was the money-making-month for the family. By December 30th, the restaurants safes were full, due to the fact so many people wanted to have a nice Italian-Style Christmas meal on the last days of the Nineteen-Hundreds.

A few years went by, and no trouble was going on, and the businesses were being ran as usual, and also, after moving to Los Santos the family was making more money than they would ever have imagined in Manhattan, this being due to the fact their was also other "things" with businesses when they were in Manhattan, but no-one was running in Los Santos, except for themselves. Finally when 2005 came, there was a few changes within the family, a few being "bumps" due to the fact only one capo', and three inducted were the "big boys". So, Marchese decided to "bump" Paulie Zinado up to Caporegime, giving him the crew, of the name: "THE DOWNTOWN CREW", also Ben Giupessina was "bumped" and given the crew name : "THE LITTLE ITALY CREW", with the Streetboss, Matthew Zaffarano agreeing to take a step down, and not be controlling a crew any more. Also, Anthony Godaz was "bumped" to a Made Man. These "bumps" were all discussed through the family, and the members of the family knew that these men deserved the "bump" that they were up for.

After the "bumping" of the men, there wasn't anything going on, no new businesses, no new conflict, no new murders, no new fights, no less money, no more money. The family was running smooth, and nothing was going wrong within the Mob, meaning they were making money, at a calm state. A few months went by, and it was November 2010, and it was the wedding day of boss, Eugene Marchese. The wedding, the meal, the after-party and the "Wedding-Shag" went great for Marchese, but this all turned around when he got a certain phone call, saying that he was needed at the Los Santos State Hospital, as Streetboss Matthew Zaffarano had been shot. Marchese ran out to his car, and began to drive down the highway, but he was drunk, and there was traffic. When Marchese was coming to a junction, he swerved right into a lorry, and swerved into the side of the highway, causing the bosses car to make several flips, squashing his body, and crushing his bones, making him die on impact due to the suffocation and blood loss. After the tragic accident, road-police had to remove the car from the side of the highway, and later on check the body, when they checked the body they revealed the identity, and confirmed the body being Eugene Marchese's. A week later from the tragic accident, the Capo's were forced to meet and pick the new boss, and they picked the first ever bosses son, Toby Devanchi to take reigns.

Toby Devanchi's Era. (2011-Present).

When January 2011 came, just after Toby Devanchi was chosen to take over reigns as boss of the Brooklyn Mob, he decided to "bump" two men, one being Matthew Zaffarano, Streetboss, whom was "bumped" up to Underboss, Devanchi also "bumped" Bart Giuseppina to Streetboss. Giuseppina still kept the "NORTH RODEO CREW", as they were the biggest most progressive crew for the family at the time. Toby was determined to run the family good, and make sure that the structure would stay the same at all times, he was determined to make money, and make sure that none of his businesses were to "fail".

In the middle of January 2011, Toby Devanchi left America, to live with his family back in Sicily for two weeks, leaving Matthew Zaffarano, Underboss as acting boss for the family for the time-being. As Anthony was put as boss, he made some changes, mostly being with the men, due to the fact that most men were being arrested or killed, but Zaffarano turned it around, with a click of his fingers.

A few weeks later, February 2011 came along, and Devanchi came back from his vacation, but as he didn't know, his caporegimes were planning behind his back to have him killed, for the benefit of the Mob, and the Mob's future. It was then seen that Bart Giuseppina, Streetboss was to be released from prison, then being a loyalist to Toby, not wanting to be involved with the murder of the family Boss, despite the members knowing that since Devanchi had been gone, their had been a lot less "heat", trouble, and there had been a lot more money rolling in from different businesses, including two social clubs, and a Cigar shop ran by Giuseppina and Paul Persui. A few weeks later, on the 11th February, on the Friday of the month, loud banging noises were heard in a Cigar shop, ran by associate Larry Verdito, and a few minutes later, shootings being heard, several to be exact. The shootings are thought to be linked to the murder of alleged boss Toby Devanchi's death, after his body being found by a civilian walking his son to school, seeing the dead body of Toby Devanchi in bushes, as they were walking down a secluded path, which was thought to be a "short-cut".

The Law Enforcement agencies, and the news channels are now believing that Matthew Zaffarano, alleged Underboss of family has taken the ranks as boss, after the murder of Devanchi.

This group isn't a gang when compared to some of the other organisations which this forum has seen, such as the Bianco Crime Famiglia. This group isn't just about going onto games and shooting each-other until everybody gets bored and decides to either play other games, talk, or go and watch TV. No, this group is going to bring more fun, more social-abilities into the forum 'gangs'. No more will the gangs section be all about shooting each-other for a non-rewarding success, not now that I've brought his group.

This group will talk through many services. The members who have an XBOX 360 can talk through their XBOX Live party's. The members who have Ventrillo will be able to speak through a Ventrillo server. The people with a Teamspeak account can talk through the Teamspeak server. The people who have got access to the IRC clients such as Mibbit can talk through IRC channels through GTANET. Hell, members can even keep social over the forums, through this and other threads.

Although this group is dedicated to a social-side of the GTANET service, I have also chosen to set some game-play around SA:MP, on various servers. The details will be given to members upon being accepted upon applying to the group. I don't want randomers joining our SA:MP servers, Ventrillo servers etc. therefore it will be kept over the privacy of the group. I will be making a private forum, and all of the social servers soon after the creation of this group, so that we can all enjoy the social ability of this group.

2.) Do not insult any other group/gang to provoke them, if they haven't done anything wrong to you.
3.) Don't start/carry on arguments with others. Be the bigger man and end it.
4.) Try to contribute to both the group and the forum at all times.
5.) Do not spam the groups topic, or any other parts of the forum.
6.) Be respectful and mature at all times, showing a good impression to the community.
7.) Don't take jokes too far. Know when to end a joke.
8.) Don't individualise members of the group or the forum for their opinions, beliefs or jokes. Be a nice guy/girl.
9.) Don't be offensively racist and/or sexist. Everyone is welcome in this group.
10.) {Golden Rule} Have good social skills. Enjoy yourself in this group!

Thanks you three. Disappointed at first when I saw posts when I'd not reserved enough posts, but it seems I had enough. I had to jam-pack the first post, but it looks good, if I do say so myself. The second post I guess will be updated now and then when I request newer group images, but that's all to come in the future. It's about time I started a group like this; about time anybody started a group like this in-fact, but I got the idea, therefore I took the chance to create a more social-based role-playing gang. I hope this succeeds, as I put a lot of hard work into this. But yeah, the original post is finished.

I'll set up the social servers (TeamSpeak, IRC etc.) later on. Going to get some sleep soon.

Cheers guys, it's really appreciated. Worked hard to get this set up, especially on the story.

I just want to say good luck, and I see that that main character from the show Lillehammer is on your signatures. I f*ckin' love that show. icon14.gif

I got it from the Soprano's, but I heard most of the actors had been in other hit shows and movies, so I guess yeah. Great guy in all his work, and looks cool, real mobster-like guy. Thanks for the support, everyone.

Thanks Ross. As I've said, I worked hard on everything, and I'm glad it looks good; at-least I hope you guys think that. Haven't spoke to you in ages, we'll have to talk in an XBL party soon, maybe even tomorrow. colgate.gif

Getting a Liberty City turf map to officially start off a XBL/GTA IV part of the group.
