On internet... on some websites, nothing happens. On here, I just have to be careful not to swear too much, maybe once in a post or something.

IRL... I'm careful not to swear much, only if it's by accident. At school, only if somebody says something to me and I say something like "f*ck" or "you stupid idiot f*ckhead" but that's only if I get pissed, but that doesn't happen anymore, because I learned to control myself... I normally don't swear much, but on the internet I can torelate people swearing, it doesn't bug me.

I try to curse as little as possible, but that's really hard since around here curse words are pretty much worked into the conversations by everybody.

I only non-purposely cuss to myself. It's always "sh*t", or "f*ck" spoken under my breath whenever I screw something up. At school instead of cussing I'll say "oap" or "oo" or some other phoneme that makes me sound like a dork. I avoid cussing while arguing, but if someone I know gets me really pissed off I add them in for emphasis.

On the internet I cuss because it's normal to do and fun to use "f*ck" as a conjunction. Not that anyone would particularly care if I stopped, in fact I'm not sure why exactly I take the time to type out cuss words in my insults. I guess I sub-consciously think that cussing offends the person on the other end, or some other f*cking sh*tty ass bullsh*t like that. I've never told anyone to go asphyxiate themselves with a dick flavored, sh*t covered steam shovel, but I do cuss a lot when I argue on Youtube (sorry). Maybe it's a way of kicking and screaming and making yourself feel like what you said makes a difference. Difficult words (like "asphyxiate", or "enema") seem to make it into my insults a lot too, even if I tell myself that I sound condescending.

You're preaching to the choir, and the choir is so large that it's more of a collective idea among everyone. In other news Jack Thompson is an idiot.

I could but I'd have to try, I have quite a foul mouth when I actually think about it. I say variations of f*ck and sh*t on a daily basis, and occasionally c*nt, but only to close friends or around people I know won't get offended. I'd never swear in front of people I don't know though, or certain family members and kids.

I could go without it, but I lose so much expression.

Plus I got banned from Lord of the Rings: Online for saying: "Stop being a Jew and pay up". So hate speech and swearing is part of my everyday expression.

I don't really curse a lot in normal conversations, but when I'm upset I curse a lot. It helps relieve the anger.

I went today without swearing but reading the topic title just made me mumble "f*ck" for some reason.

I'm 16 and I started cursing on a regular basis about 3 months ago. I don't know what the f*ck happened to me. It seems like I have no self-control over my mouth anymore... tounge.gif

I never curse people. The one time I cursed someone was when I played Mercutio in Romeo and Julliet. "A plague on both your houses!". I swear a lot though, swearing is fun. Nothing says "f*ck you" like saying f*ck you.

I can go a day without cursing, I do hang with people who do curse regularly though. I usually do add a redundant curse in speaking to keep 'them' comfortable. It's just part of their natural vocabulary, I don't think they can't help it so you just pick up their language and their mannerisms when your in a group situation. I don't swear at all in natural speech but I will in pain/frustration but I try not to. I find it very unintelligent to just throw it out there in normal speech instead of actually using the English language to convey your thoughts.

It's not something I can just stop. I mean I don't swear every second of the day, but it's just a natural part of my vocabulary.

I rarely if ever swear in public though. Actually I find it extremely hard to swear in public.

I can go a day without doing it pretty easily.
I think I used to curse quite a lot as a kid, but I have reduced it a lot.

I've been brought up where both parents have been very strict on swearing, even as far as baning us from using words such as crap and Knackered, so yeah, I could go for ages without cursing if I really had to. The only times I really find myself cursing in sentences is with my mates.

As a scotsman who has drank too much I have had a think about this, I believe that it is possible but not worth it. If you waste even seconds of your day holding your tongue then you have offended every lover of freedom in the world.

In a previous post i mentioned my work in a call centre and restraining ones self but I have since learnt that the customer do not give a f*cks if you swear while empathising with their push problem as long as you get it sorted, swearing is a thing right and ilke all things people just do it you know and its unnatural to stop one's self.

Be yourself and just don't arf yourself to please other c*nts.

Always have to yell the f*ck word, son of a bitch, motherf*cker, asshole, dipsh*t, f*cking jackass and goddamn f*cking bitch.
