Shadows are directly memory dependant
You cant have everything with shadows, and your shadow cant go over 700-1000 polys

Yes, I know, but then the headlights flash too. Or you can make 1000 components and run them by a CLEO script. Why isn't there a dll mod or something and you can add more than 4 types of lights (now there are 4: FL, FR, RL, RR, but why not 7: FL, FR, RL, RR, FLL, FRR, RM)

You mean dff? You can't add indicator lights, but you can add headlights. I want to add indicator lights, so the headlights don't flash too when you are using the indicators.

I'll make it even more clearer.DK meant that if you(G-Modifications) will do the TXDs for the map, they will add indicators and reverse lights. tounge.gif

That's no problem for me, but I don't have the textures and you have to link them to the dff, which I also don't have. I'm good in txd-editing, but I make them always up to 75% smaller!?

Oh, ye I've downloaded the map (not from a official link, but it works) and it looks really awesome, but it lags on my laptop. There are still a lot of gaps in the map and I don't have a radar map.

EDIT:
I found something really shocking: the collision files are gigantic, I think they have to become smaller, 1,25 GB for 5 collision files??!!! There are to much faces in the cols.

Size of those files should be 25mb. This bug is made by alcis img editor. To fix it, just export all files, re create archive and import - save.

IF you guys want to put all props etc. into the game than you must put down:

- Buildings&roas etc. DRAW Distance to 100-150

- Props Draw Distance to 70-100

(- ADD LODs for better gameplay;) )


Anything higher than that will cause lagging. Its just too much for the Engine;)

I tested it allready;)

I tought the problem was in the txd files, the textures are to big (if you compare them with those from GTA SA). How can we make the DRAW Distance smaller? And I've told earlier that we need LOD's. Oh ye, and who made the cols? They are a bit to big. (but you've done it great)

It won't get past the moderation queue on GTAGarage either even if you happen to finish and release it. Sorry guys, but we cannot allow a conversion of this scale and magnitude.

We have always striven for and encouraged modders to concentrate their skills and efforts into scratch-made content rather than blatant conversions like these that distract people from the original game. We'd appreciate if you guys invest your time in something more productive that wouldn't affect R* in any way.

Hope you guys understand our viewpoint. Thank you.
