Anyway else hoping Walt actually says "Remember my name" at some point during the finale? There's a good few scenarios that could play out where he'd say that.

Am I the only one who feels dissapointed that Walt is only returning for the sake of his ego? I mean it wouldn't be too bad, had the S5E01 and S5E09 cold openings suggested he was doing it for the sake of helping someone

He may ultimately be doing it to help his family still, it's difficult to tell at this point. It may well have been his ego that made him leap into action but it doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to get revenge for his ego alone.

I hope not anyway.

It would of been awesome if the final episode was like  2 hour movie long special.

Oh well 53 minutes will have to do i guess.

It would be great if they made the last one as 2 hour movie. But we have to see lots of slow scenes of them breathing and drinking out of cup and staring out nowhere, but i would love that... coz that wat made Breaking bad real. They stand out as humans, than cutting to actions and quick dialogues....

Oh man just finished episode 15 and Oh my god. Pure awesome. But kinda sad in a way. I can't wait for the last episode, but yet again sad to see it end.

Anyone else upset that those asshole stole that money, Like why then, perfect chance?... I mean if they really wanted walts money i'm sure they had many chances before to take it from him.. If they can set up to kill 10 people in a jail within 2 mins..

I don't think they realised just how much Walt had and because of that, Walt was worth more to them alive and on their side.

That and they don't know where he kept his money.

I'm finishing up season 2 and does anyone else hate Skyler with a passion???

I haven't been myself lately, but I love you. Nothing about that has changed, nothing ever will. So right now, what I need, is for you to climb down out of my ass. Can you do that? Will you do that for me, honey? Will you please, just once, get off my ass, you know? I'd appreciate it, I really would.

Is there anyone who can't hate Skyler for what she was in the first few seasons? Let season 4 come in, you gonna hate her even more!

And for the finale:

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl.
Night-time would find me in Rosa's cantina;
Music would play and Felina would whirl.

Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina,
Wicked and evil while casting a spell.
My love was deep for this Mexican maiden;
I was in love but in vain, I could tell.

One night a wild young cowboy came in,
Wild as the West Texas wind.
Dashing and daring,
A drink he was sharing
With wicked Felina,
The girl that I loved.

So in anger I

Challenged his right for the love of this maiden.
Down went his hand for the gun that he wore.
My challenge was answered in less than a heart-beat;
The handsome young stranger lay dead on the floor.

Just for a moment I stood there in silence,
Shocked by the FOUL EVIL deed I had done.
Many thoughts raced through my mind as I stood there;
I had but one chance and that was to run.

Out through the back door of Rosa's I ran,
Out where the horses were tied.
I caught a good one.
It looked like it could run.
Up on its back
And away I did ride,

Just as fast as I

Could from the West Texas town of El Paso
Out to the bad-lands of New Mexico.

Back in El Paso my life would be worthless.
Everything's gone in life; nothing is left.
It's been so long since I've seen the young maiden
My love is stronger than my fear of death.

I saddled up and away I did go,
Riding alone in the dark.
Maybe tomorrow
A bullet may find me.
Tonight nothing's worse than this
Pain in my heart.

And at last here I

Am on the hill overlooking El Paso;
I can see Rosa's cantina below.
My love is strong and it pushes me onward.
Down off the hill to Felina I go.

Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys;
Off to my left ride a dozen or more.
Shouting and shooting I can't let them catch me.
I have to make it to Rosa's back door.

Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel
A deep burning pain in my side.
Though I am trying
To stay in the saddle,
I'm getting weary,
Unable to ride.

But my love for

Felina is strong and I rise where I've fallen,
Though I am weary I can't stop to rest.
I see the white puff of smoke from the rifle.
I feel the bullet go deep in my chest.

From out of nowhere Felina has found me,
Kissing my cheek as she kneels by my side.
Cradled by two loving arms that I'll die for,
One little kiss and Felina, good-bye.

Never thought someone could campare a Marty Robbins song to Breaking Bad :p

If the series ends with Jessie not killing Walt, im gonna just be so annoyed.

After all the sh*t Walter caused for Jessie and the way he calllously told them to kill him and then mocked him about Jane before he was about to die.

I just really hope walt meets his death from Jessie or Walt Junior cos it would be funny. Im gonna throw this b-b-bacon at you til you d-d-d-ieee.

Is hockey game a harbinger for "Breaking Bad" finale?

Anyway, with the series finale approaching, I have a secret of my own to share. For some time I have been contributing various pictures and information about the show that I have found on my travels through the web. But, believe it or not, other than watching a blooper reel and the behind the scenes snippet of "Ozymandias", I have not seen one second of the show. That's right, not one second. All the information I know about the show comes pretty much from this topic.

Why haven't I seen the show? Because, when I became a FAQ writer a decade ago I pretty much stopped watching television except for the occasional sporting event, mainly football. That's how I'm wired these days. Up to this point only GTA-King knew this secret.

With that said, here's my thoughts on the upcoming finale:

When I saw the episode title "Ozymandias" I didn't think of the poem but thought of "Watchmen", another story that has heavy use of symbolism. For the uninitiated one of the characters in the story was known as Ozymandias AKA Adrian Veidt. After masks became outlawed he became the head of a massive corporation. Later, the main heroes of the story, Rorschach and Nite Owl II, realize that Adrian is heading some nefarious plot and they go to stop him. As they confront Adrian and try to stop this plot they realize they are too late when Adrian mentions:

"I did it thirty five minutes ago."

In BB Walter is the "hero" and Heisenburg is the "villain" - both in the same body. Prior to "Ozymandias" Walter could still turn back from his life of crime and live with his family and have the money. But, after the ambush, a line had been crossed - a line of no return. Hank makes mention of this with the line:

"He made up his mind ten minutes ago."

One of the major twists of "Watchmen" is that the heroes lose and the villain, in this case Adrian, wins. In BB, Walter loses when Hank dies and everything comes apart. His empire dissolves and he loses his family and eventually flees town.

We have seen the picture of the bullet hole in the fender that is superimposed over Walter's face which foreshadows his death. But, in my mind, Walter doesn't die a physical death. Remember, Walter and Heisenburg are two personalities in the same body. I believe, in the end, that Heisenburg will finally win out and Walter "dies".

One of the major themes within "Watchmen" is "man becoming a monster". This is pointed out in the "comic book within a comic book" "Tales of the Black Freighter" which also corresponds with Adrian's character arc. In BB, Walter goes from being a meek chemistry teacher to a monstrous meth manufacturer.

In the end, Heisenburg comes back, gets payback on everyone, takes his money, and leaves - this time for good. He is no longer Walter, there is no point to being him anymore so he succumbs to his dark side thus completing his final transformation. Since Heisenburg is the villain of BB he also wins - just like in "Watchmen". However, while he still lives and has his money, he now has to live the rest of his life in exile and painfully alone - fitting for the monster he has become, joining the crew of the Black Freighter as it were.

I've laid my cards out on the table. We'll see what happens on Sunday.

EDIT: I wanted to put some of this in spoiler tags but they don't seem to be working properly. My apologies.

sorry I'm so late to the party this week.

the 2nd to last show was perhaps the most emotionally powerful episode of the entire series.

I'm pretty bummed that Flynn didn't give Walt a chance to explain anything; especially telling him to "just die." that was pretty silly. his character is way too 2-dimensional. other than that everyone delivered some pretty hardcore performances and I like where things are going for the finale episode.

Walt is basically going with my prediction; he's gonna' hunt down the Nazi's / protect his family / clear his name with his last breath.

cannot wait until next Sunday! wow.

He comes across as a very real teenage character to me - especially one dealing with condition like his. Emotional reactions are what drive a show like this in the first place! ;)

Now I'm leaning towards a violent showdown with Walt fully assuming the Heisenberg persona and...maybe? even continuing to cook. I can see him escaping this alive... but not the same man.

However, one of my favorite things about this show has been the consistent unpredictability yet the fact that it always accounts for itself without compromise.  Can't wait.

I came across it while looking into the finale's title: Felina.

I actually don't want Walt/Heisenberg to get death by a bullet. Let the cancer take him while he smokes meth and burns his money.

I'd still say his lack of curiosity about his father is a bit disappointing.  I would think a lot of teens would want to learn as much as possible rather than pushing their criminal mastermind of a father away like that.  Although he has been somewhat emotionally spineless through the show, ironically, not much different from how his condition has left him physically.

On a totally pointless note, I just noticed that "Felina" is an anagram of "finale".

Well. "mastermind" is a matter of perspective, is it not? Coming from a history of pretty lame father figures personally, I can imagine the betrayal Jr's feeling would overpower any curiosity.

^^ Walt gave up hiding since his son was still angry, he cannot forgive himself... that is why he called DEA at the end...

But the music score at the end was great... i didn't really like that title score, but this end score made me go crazy and wanted to hear more of it now...

Also i realized that Walt coming back to get revenge, this time we were not shown what happen to Jesse...

Todd and the gang must have killed him if they had learned from him now. which would take Todd 3 cooks or so.

So if Jesse is alive meaning Lydia and the Europeans must have intervened with Todd group and took Jesse under their wing.

Why i am guessing this?

Coz Lydia just want 90% or more of purity in the drug, as Heisenberg level, the way she said the percentage when Todd told her makes me think she might have told Todd to keep Jesse alive or Europeans might have arrived to take Jesse from Todd....

what you guys think...

I don't think they realised just how much Walt had and because of that, Walt was worth more to them alive and on their side.

That and they don't know where he kept his money.

I took it as, they worked for him and he would keep money flowing to them, they had no reason to rob him, it would hurt their income, and todd likes him a lot, so i think it just happened after the circumstances of the shootout.

I can't wait til sunday.

Yes you are right... They cannot kill Jesse off-screen...

That means he lives. That means he is living under torture of Todd, or Europeans,

What if he becomes the next Kingpin?? He has killed Todd and made pact with Lydia and Europeans...

Walt has to face huge fire power from Jesse and his followers, Jesse is not as stupid as Walt think like Saul said???

^^ Yes i think Jesse will kill Walt.. Can anyone give me that link to Entertainment weekly cover of final episode on set of BB??

I can't find that article... But found this

'Breaking Bad' writer talks last night's episode, 'Granite State', and what it is that Walt has become
