I'm actually baffled by the amount of you predicting that Walt is going to come back and kill Gretchen and Elliot. I think that those of you making this prediction need to watch the episode again because you're totally missing the point of that scene. The scene was used as a plot device to motivate Walt to return to Albuquerque. It served both to inform Walt that Jesse is alive and cooking for the Aryans, as well as to remind him of how his legacy with Gray Matter had been taken away from him; he's not about to let the Aryans take his legacy as Heisenberg away from him. The scene also allowed the show to finally bring the Gray Matter storyline full-circle. There is no way in hell that he's going to kill Gretchen and Elliot. That would be too childish and petty even for Walt; he has bigger fish to fry.

Well, one thing will always be constant.

You are one of the many legends that has contributed to this thread.

:]

It's been good man, it's been good. This is the greatest thread in the Movies & TV forum and I'm not saying that because Breaking Bad is my favorite show. It's the best thread because pretty much every post stays on topic, trolls are extremely rare and all of us act civilized. If only all threads on GTAForums could be like this. This thread is 99.1% pure (see what I did there ey? :D)

I'm really going to miss this thread when Breaking Bad is over. I've been her for a year and a half and it's been a fun ride. Obviously this thread won't be as active but I can definitely see some regulars stopping by every now and then to answer some questions for newbies who just discovered the show.

That's pretty nice. And the Saul spinoff show is something I will keep my eye on as well.

At this point, I really don't care how Walt dies. I only care about how he lives whatever life he has left. On the flipside, I have no sense for how Jesse's story will end, but I care for him.  I actually think Jesse's death makes more sense in the story than him surviving, but I guess I could see either way.

And I hope the finale is a completion of some of the underlying themes  of the show - Walt's family, his ego, consequences of his actions. Perhaps finally coming back to him. We saw Hank's death was a consequence of Walt's ego and greed, and that brought to a conclusion one of the major storylines of this show. His relationship with Jesse was one of the other major storylines - that must be brought to a more satisfying conclusion in the finale.

I agree. After the call that occured between Walt and his son, Walt called Albuquerque's DEA office. I think he did that because, at that moment, he gave up and wanted to surrender. A few minutes later while he was drinking his signature 'Heisenberg' drink, he was informed about the fact that Jesse is still alive and his top quality blue meth is still being produced and reaching as far as Europe. This, as you said, was a motivator. These facts made him rethink what he should do until he decided, in a matter of seconds, to go back and finish what he intended to do months ago. He managed to escape the scene before the police showed up at the bar.

Prediction: Walt is going to die in the final episode. That would be more dramatic than just a surrender. It is possibly by a shot on the head.

Still going to watch Granite State now, I'm nearly a week behind. Watching it now so I don't have to wait long until tomorrow.

I just can't believe we are here. It felt like just yesterday we were waiting for the final episodes and now, here we are. This show will be ending tonight, but this show will always live on for me.

I also want to say thanks to every one of you in this thread that have posted/contributed to the discussions. Without you guys, I wouldn't have anybody else to talk about Breaking Bad with! I hope you guys enjoy the finale and let's share our reactions and thoughts after the finale! :)

Well, we know Walt dies at some point in his near future because he's not well. That isn't really a surprise, so I'm not sure why this is a hot topic. The dude is dying of cancer.

Watching this live via a stream, I'll be sure to catch it on Netflix tomorrow so my

Spoiler
is somewhat justified, but I can't miss this ending live. Just can't. Might be incredibly tired tomorrow but it will damn sure be worth it.

Wow. That's how you end a series. Was literally cheering during that sequence... and it's 3 A.M. here.

Goodbye, Breaking Bad.
