This is just a video (not mine) that shows what to expect in the diversity of the map, only with improved graphics to fit the GTA style and a road adaption for cruises.

I have an idea. You should put LV to the left more so you will have room to put the Whover dam thats east of Las Vegus.

And is LV going to look like the SA one or are you going to make a bigger one, and your just showing generaly where its going to be located.

Edit: On your road textures you should switch the solid white line and the solid yellow line. In the US the dubble lines in the middle are yellow well the other ones are white. Just letting you know incase your using that texture.

For the sand you could use the desert textures from Red Dead Redemption. Or you can use the textures from Afgan or Rust in Modern Warfare 2.

For me it's okay if u want to help, but i'm not using any cartoon textures like that one bitch was talking about iMo biggrin.gif only from RDR and some from internet..
Send me your e-mail with pm and i'll invite you to dropbox smile.gif

Edit: The LV is going to stay on it's place for now.. The suburbs/extras for it will be added later around it so that the surroundings will be more realistic with view from Google Earth.

He's using the same method that he used for all his other maps which are good quality.
There's no need to worry.

Well this is is a sketch biggrin.gif Don't worry about pollys cause it's finished yet and paint i only use for capturing screens..
As soon as ShakingASS comes to dropbox and we talk, there will be changes smile.gif

Edit: Also i've tryied to match the LV roads, so there wouldn't be much difference with the city.. But it's still better than SA roads imo biggrin.gif

Actually all his Custom Made Maps also have the same bad low polyflow on terrain with nice smooth polyflow on the roads, on msn he said he will add more polys to the low poly areas so hopefully he'll be true to his word. icon14.gif

You basically repeated what I said, I stated that his maps are good quality in defense to Performer's post.

It's a good start.

I agree the textures are a little bit too 'clean'. And too much lines for my taste, those little white stripes need to be longer and more space between them i think, like this:

It's about adding details later, fences, trees, grass

I'm willing to help, but i have absolutely no skills of converting, or modding in general.
But i could test and bug report, if you want me to.

Looks like a awesome project btw.

"Goodbye Liberty City. Hello The West."

Pictured is an area modeled in 3dsmax and textured using one texture from RDR, 2 textures from an online texture site and 1 from SA.
The things i'll add next are vegetation, more land containing veg and then some RDR buildings.

Comments with feedback/suggestions welcome. smile.gif

Thanks guys.

Shakin, i believe RDR does have bump and spec textures:

(resized^ also i think the normal maps r g b is swapped)

I'll add RDR buildings if i can source the correct textures for them: there is no way of automatically finding and matching the textures to the models so it's practically guesswork and every face has to be selected and have the textures found for which is incredibly time consuming especially as the models are from RDR.

Doesn't look great i will rework all bump and spec mappings the green effect for consoles. And that's a bump not a spec map.

Either way, you should pronounce it as a normal map , not bump... but let's not argue about it
