Not an investigation comment - but I wish to note to all here that I am greatly enjoying these investigations. Well done, gentlemen, this is exceptional work!

Sorry I haven't posted here for such a long time, I just haven't had the time to investigate recently. But I'm back now with an investigation report. cool.gif

Myth name: "Haunted Casino".

Investigators: AlexGTAGamer, Niko and two of Dwayne's boys.

What happened:
*Headphones were used*
As usual being too lazy to drive I took a taxi over to the casino in Alderney. I arrived slightly earlier than usual so I wondered around the casino grounds and even met an old man wearing a business suit drinking a cup of Bean Machine coffee on a bench by the entrance to the building. The time eventually hit 21:00 and so I gave Dwayne a call to send over my myth investigators.

First thing I did was give a homeless man some money who was standing by the entrance to the building. I noticed two more homeless men walk inside the building so I followed after them. Inside more homeless asked for money so I was kind and gave them a few dollars. Homeless people aside we made our way to the back of the casino and to the staircase that leads to the roof.

We had just gotten to the roof and I had a quick glimpse around. Seeing nothing I then went back inside where another homeless approached me. But something wasn't right, Dwayne's boys were gone. I searched all around the building but I couldn't find them. They were only with me for a few minutes but as soon as I went to the roof they disappeared. This scared me a little so when it came midnight I fired by pistol inside the casino to scare the homeless away, now the place was empty. Heck I even had a great urge to throw a grenade inside to stir up trouble, but nothing happened.

Time ticked by and I was getting greatly bored going backwards and forwards inside looking for anything out of the ordinary, and then I heard it, a constant dripping sound. At first I thought nothing of it but as I searched in the back I noticed it getting more and more louder. I passed it off as being water dripping, but it wasn't raining. This sound soon got to me so I ran to the front and was startled when a new group of homeless men appeared. I shoved past them and ran outside where I checked around the grounds.

I passed a lot of the time during the investigation jumping from the scaffolding inside the casino but this eventually got boring too. The time reached 6:00 and I headed out of the building, bored and disappointed that I didn't find anything.

Strange things that happened/were heard: Dwayne's boys disappearing, and a constant dripping noise that got louder - probably just an unseen pipe somewhere. (This is at the back of the casino by the staircase, not the main pipe in the front section.)

Myth Confirmed/Plausible/Busted: On acount that I saw no ghostly figure or heard any screams that other investigators said they heard/saw, in my opinion:

Myth Busted.

Myth - Beechwood Growler - Follow up investigation.

Investigators - Niko Bellic, Patrick McCreary, Gordon Ssssargent, Michael 'Patron saint of Marks & Sparks' Keane and two of Dwaynes' 'friends'.

+--------+

To: N Bellic

From: L Lopez

CC: Beechwood Growler

Further to previous correspondance, no evidence of Growler, however, discovery of crazy pushchair warrants further investigation, advise to approach with extreme caution!

PS. do you know where I can get some meds for a, er, depressed housewife.

Sincere

L L

+--------+

There was other buisness to be taken care of but this needed sorting, The tale of the crazy pushchair had caused a stir in the criminal underworld, criminal fraternity, criminal underworld, whatever. We assembled en masse at the shoreline in Beechwood City. I gave orders, 'don't do any weird sh*t', thought it was a good plan.

user posted image

The man on the far right was offering 'White Teas', I tried to calm him mentioning I like my tea like I like my coffee, he just looked at me weird.

I engaged with the pushchair and sure enough it started spinning out before flying off a rock into nothingness.

Having had enough I decided to go for a swimm before realising how boring swimming was, again, Dwayne's Friends' were not playing, I think they could see the futility of it all.

user posted image

Decided to give up on the Growler/Pushchair and headed to the ammusement park to explore more tales of the unexpected...

It didn't go too well.

Dwaynes' 'friends' had had enough and went off home leaving just the four of us, no problem until I jumped a fence and realised that whilst Patrick, Gordon and Michael could operate a firearm they had no concept of jumping over a fence

user posted image

Evidence - Puschair is still crazy.

I've been myth hunting for awhile now, so here goes nothing.

Location: Acter, Alderney, Alderney State
Time: 12:00

Investigators: Chris, member of Paranormal Gaming

I arrived at Acter around the early mornings of Liberty City. Driving around, investigating the exterior. When I was standing out the car, looking at the demolished building. I was staring into a window, in which I saw a figure staring out the window. When the sun came out, my gun did too. I entered the building via the underground sewer.

When I was finally inside. The feeling of someone watching me was definetly felt. Aiming my gun at every inch of the building, nothing has appeared... yet. As I was about to give up and bust the myth, a strange phenominon occured. Sounds of footsteps were echoed throughout the building, screams were heard when I fired a shot, and cold breaths were blown form my mouth.

I left the building, feeling like there's still something that needs to be done. Though the Sprunk Ghost was never found. There's defintley something there.

History:

During my research of the building, I came across this. The Sprunk Factory in Acter, Alderney was built back in the early 40's. Workers, from 12 to 43 worked each floor, around dangerous machines. In 1956, a man called, Greg Miller, was working on the top floor, fixing the packaging machine. As he was, his hand got stuck. In an attempt to free it, he pulled himself to hard and fell out the window, falling to his death. The factory was shut down in December, 13, 1956. During the closing. The founder of the factory decided to give his final goodbyes to the building.

As he was leaving, a figure appeared right before his eyes. Looking almost similar to Greg.

Sprunk Factory Ghost

MYTH - Busted

Its not about whenever it true or not. Its about the hunt. Here is - by definition - a few more myths

Myth:

Man in window

Description

If you go to the run down house, close to the old casino (its the house where the sultan xs is) go to the front windows. At night, you may see a shadow that walks past the window. This happened for me at 23:56 at Friday. It was a clear night.

Evidence

No evidence atm. I saw this shadow while I was passing by to get the sultan.

Myth:

Painful scream

Description

One time when I was in the house where you do the drugdeal I could hear some weird screams. It sounds like someone is being tortured. I could also see blood drip down on the floor.

Evidence:

I have recorded it. Unfortunately it dissapeared from my memory stick when i was about to upload it.

I have also heard that you must stand still for roughly 90 minutes in the sprunk factory in order to get a 30% chance to encounter a ghost. The camera will change after you've stood still for about 2 minutes without pressing any button at all. Not even start. Then you may hear a scream and niko dies. Someone should try this.

I know I am late, but, the last one, is that in game minutes or actual time? If you get back to me on that and give me the location (haven't played storymode in a while) I'd love to investigate it.

Sorry this isn't an Investigation report or nothing...I hope you don't mind me asking this here but it seems like the perfect place to ask this question...What are the wreaked up, burned out cars that lay around LC? Is there any way to Investigate them to what they are or does everyone but me know their meanings?

I can't tell you if everyone but you knows. Although I am pretty sure that they are just from past accident (which happened whilst said character being played wasn't around). You may wonder why they can't just have the original car? This is because, said vehicle (if not burnt entirely) wouldn't spawn there every time and stay every time that the character visited the site. Basically it would disappear if it wasn't the burnt version, and the simply only smoking engine vehicle it would no longer be there if you re-visited the area.

Here is something that might give you a chill.

Firefly Island Amusement Park

The investigation started at 8:00 pm GTA time near the rollercoasters. I roamed around the area until 10:00 pm hearing or seeing nothing out of the ordinary. Next I went on the rollercoasters on foot to see that triggers anything until 11:30 pm but nothing happened. Finally I go to the Golf Course where something strange occurred right when I step foot on the course.

The area did have some pedestrians walking around, but all of a sudden the pedestrians disappeared and the area was completely silenced. It remained like that for 3 hours in GTA time then a sudden footstep was heard behind me followed by a scream from a female. As more footsteps progressed towards me, so were unusual sounds like a growl, more screams and believe it or not, a man talking in a very deep voice.

I couldn't figure out what the voice was saying because it only spoke for a minute in real time. I walked to the center of the course and managed to anger some kind of negative energy. Why did I think I angered a negative energy, where I was walking, there was nothing on the ground and something made me fall losing health. It was obvious something was going on.

As time flew by, there was one last thing. It was 5:00 am in GTA time and the Sun was rising, there was a homeless man just standing doing no actions or reactions to anything. He was standing where I was standing and then disappeared when I looked back for a sec then looked back to where he was.

I left the area and went to my Bohan safehouse the save my game and advance 6 hours. I drove around Liberty City doing nothing the whole day, then when I drove past Firefly Island, the homeless man from the previous night was back and standing at the same place. If you ask me, what ever is going on in that park is likely that someone is in there keeping others away.

Myth is plausible. There wasn't any evidence, just weird activity although with more people, we could find a few stuff that could trigger all of this nonsense.

Next location: Back to the Half-sunken ship.

I'm back from my busy days away! Did you miss me? I know I missed me. Anyways I have a new investigation report for you guys and will be having more soon!

Name of Myth: Ratman

Report Description: I had some free time on my hands so I decided to start doing some myth investigations online, while I wasn't tending to my other work. My associates DeTarius, SwagModz, and Sacplaya all came with me on this investigation. We started off in North Algoquin, the sun was setting and my friends wanted to use motorcycles to explore the subway, I insisted they didnt in case of any tainted evidence we might get while on motorcycles. So we started to traverse the tunnel systems, making our way through the network making sure that we didn't miss a thing. We eventually stumbled into the massive underground part of the subway system (you know, where many subway rails cross) at that point we decided to pair up and search the tunnels in groups, we spent a good couple of in game hours searching the rest of the tunnel system in pairs, but as the morning drew closer we decided to call an end to the investigation, ending up empty handed, but we had fun anyways. I will have to come back for a full day investigation.

Evidence: Unfortunately none.

The MIT will be getting updating regularly again and I would like to give a thanks to the people who helped me with the investigation. --- CrowBarZ

Myth: Haunted Amusement Park (Team of two: Me and Dr-Mayhem111)

Description: We jumped on our motorcycles over by the abandoned casino. Sad to say we got to Firefly Island with only one motorcycle. It was day-time-almost-night-time, and we started our investigation. It was in the morning when we began to hear music on the golf course, first we heard Nightmare on Elm Street themed music, then it played again this time a Christmas song. If you may wonder if it was an ice-cream truck we checked the area, there wasn't none around each time. After hearing the music several times we found some strange ghost plant... We then moved onto the roller coaster where we heard footsteps. I heard several thuds, and finally I was shocked when I heard a growl. It sounded sorta like a lion.. but louder. When we footsteps again during the night time by the rides were we sad to see it was an old lady just walking. After one of the locals picked a fight we knocked him out, then we wrapped up our investigation at six in the morning

Evidence: Music, several thuds, (Dr-Mayhem said he heard a yell), A growl, some footsteps.

Notes: I really liked this investigation. Being it was my first I was surprised to find so much

Everyone I would like to inform you again this thread is NOT for asking people if they want to myth investigate, it is for putting up and discussing investigation reports.

Anyways hey guys and gals I have returned to bring you yet another myth investigation report with one of my friends on Xbox LIVE as we return to the abandoned sprunk factory!

Myth Name: Haunted Sprunk Factory

Description: Me and my friend ACE LethalKillz decided to head out on an investigation to pass some time and see if we coould hear that elusive noise that I had heard on my solo investigation. We arrived at the factory via helicopter a few in game hours before sunset. I taught him a few tricks and we then started the investigation. As I headed up to the third floor (the same floor I heard the first noise on) I again heard the loud bang from before. ACE LethalKillz was on the floor below me and he confirmed that he heard the noise as well. We checked multiple different things that could have caused the noise trying to debunk it, with no luck. We continued to patrol the floors of the compound, with no further evidence and dawn on the horizon. We wrapped up our investigation.

Evidence: Loud noises

Myth: Ratman.

I was murdering homeless people in the subway with my M4, when I noticed one was on the ground, still breathing. I went up to him and shot him in the head. I was playing SP

To my surprise, he didn't die like people usually do. He kept moving his head back and forth and breathing.

That's when I noticed that he had long nails, red eyes, and wierd ears. He also would not die. I even used an RPG, he would not die.

Evidence: Long nails, red eyes, wierd ears, and wouldn't die

Myth: Plausible. Could just be an easter egg made by R*, not Ratman, I'm not sure

Go ahead. I haven't investigated again, but I will tomorrow. And you sure can try. It's in the part of the subway where there's a bunch of tracks in one place and all the homeless people go there. The problem with finding him would be that as soon as you shoot one guy, the other will flee, and that might be Ratman fleeing. He's a tricky little bastard. You gotta look to see if he's still breathing, and see if he has red eyes and long nails.

I'm genuinely interested in finding out about the elusive "Ratman". It's been a sort of hobby/obsession of mine trying to find him ever since I first bought the game. Hell, it's the reason I bought the game in the first place. I'll detail my findings so far, and hope it gets somewhere.

(Note, I was playing TLAD DLC of the game. Not sure if it has anything to do with my findings but it would be fairly interesting if they presented the myths in different versions of the game, I.E, TBoGT, TLAD, and the original)

So, at around 4:00 I called up Terry and Clay and asked them if they wanted to ride with me. They agreed and we proceeded to ride to the subway entrance closest to us. (Algonquin Area Entrance) We then continued to ride through the network of subways until we found the entrance to the Service Tunnels introduced to the player during the mission in which You rob a bank with Packie, his brother and St. Michael. We got off of our bikes and walked into the entrance. First thing I noticed was the yellow/brown spots that led up the staircase on the floor. It's speculated among forums that this is evidence of Ratman, but I'm undecided in believing if it's true or not. It could just be piles of vomit from the hobo's that occupy the tunnels. I worked my way up and throughout the stairwell, not finding any real evidence of any kind. Aside from the yellow/brown goop and the occasional weird white noise I found nothing odd about this particular area.

Evidence: Odd Goopy Yellow/Brown piles (Could be Vomit), Randomly occuring white noise.

I'd love to be updated through messages or other means as to what this could mean. I'd also appreciate any information about Ratman and supposed locations he can be found. Thanks.

Just finished another investigation. I'd love feedback about some of the details. PM me if you have any questions or would like to clarify some of the following situations with me.

At 19:09, I arrived at the Abandoned Sprunk Factory to being my Investigation. I began by making sure I had no weapons equipped and there were no frightened pedestrians in the area. Next I walked up to the boarded up window at the front of the building. After looking inside for about 10 minutes (in game time) I concluded there was nothing out of the ordinary. At this point it was 19:27. Next, I walked around the right side of the building looking for an entrance. With no luck, I headed back to the front of the building. At this point it was 19:46. After walking around to the left side of the building I found the entrance. I heard some electrical buzzing, but it was only the broken light above the door. At this point it was 19:56. I slowly began my ascent up the stairs, up the first flight I started hearing heavy breathing. The time was 20:14. I stop in the middle of the first floor at 20:28. I will wait here for 2 hours (in game time) to see if anything happens. At 20:57 I hear a slight noise. Sounds like someone bumping into something. Probably a pedestrian on the street. Heavy breathing persists. At 21:31 I hear something that sounds like a person saying "Psst" It isn't the electrical buzzing or the sparks. I can tell the difference. 21:36 I hear something that could be footsteps or tapping. Not sure of the cause. Could be someone outside running. 22:01, Another sound. Seems like more banging around. Quiets after one minute (in game time). 22:16, I hear a noise that sounds a bit like growling. Starting to get a bit frightened. Can't wait to be out of this particular area. 22:28, I continue my ascent and head up the rubble to the next floor, finding nothing of interest I continue on immediately. 23:00. I arrive at the top floor, unable to continue my ascent due to broken staircase. I head to the middle of the floor and will wait one hour (in game time). 23:05 hear another noise. Could be footsteps or tapping. Not sure. 23:32, hear a sound like something in water moving around lightly. Sort of like a slight splashing, different from the steady hum of the water downstairs and the dripping of the pipes. Not sure of the cause. 00:00 I continue my investigation into the next room. I stop in the middle of some papers on the floor and wait around. Will wait for 30 minutes (in game time) 00:17 Hear loud footsteps. Actually scared at this point. 00:30 No more occurences so far. I begin my descent back into the lower levels. 00:58, while descending a piece of concrete scares me. I get shivers. Pretty girly, not gonna lie. 01:15, in front of tunnel entrance. Can't help but to equip my Automatic 9mm. Don't like dark tunnels. 01:23 Enter room with Fire Barrel, when near the Barrel the room gets really dark then brightens up again. Scares the crap out of me. Aim gun, hear more footsteps, might be my own, kinda panicked, pause for a second to get my sh*t together. 01:47 I reach the end of the tunnel back to the left entrance of the building through which I entered.

Findings: Heavy Breathing, COULD possibly just the be player character breathing.
Unexplained Footsteps, Might be peds
Random "thud" noise., Might be someone outside knocking something over.
Person saying "Psst", ...I don't know how to debunk this. Might just be the fear getting to me.
Growling noise., Can't debunk. Might just be my own fear. Scary as hell though
Splashing noise, Might be object falling into water. Not sure
Fire Barrel room darkens upon approach, Could just be the lighting engine not sure.

SO, No solid facts upon the Sprunk factory. I just know it's kinda thrilling/chilling to explore late at night, when you're home alone in the dark with the volume all the way up. Almost pissed my pants at one point. sh*t. No solid evidence or solid proof. Just speculations.

Good work with those reports beater. I have a tip for everyone else now who reads this, if you turn, and you hear footsteps, it's your characters feet moving. Also I will have an investigation report up tonight!

Well I am going to add the first investigation report to put in the log.

"Haunted Sprunk Factory"
I arrived at the Sprunk factory in my landstalker at 19:00. It was getting dark so I decided to do a quick lookaround of the building. I was doing the standard full night investigation (20:00-5:00) and was having no luck around the entire factory. I did hear the bouncers from honkers but paid no attention. It was around 3:00 when I went outside to investigate. Standing near the front of the factory in a little alleyway between the part of the factories you can and can't enter. I went idle and started to listen for any noises, I was loosing hope until I heard a loud crash, like a mix between a oil drum falling and a car crash. It immediatley got my attention. Thinking it was cars around the factory. I went back inside the factory to the second floor and I heard the noise once more and was just as loud. I walked around some more with the 30 [game] minutes I still had and left, satisfied with my findings.
Evidence: 2 distinct loud bangs

I went there and I heard that noise too.
I heard it when I bumped into the couch.

As this is a place to share and discuss reports of investigations. There is the possibility it is the couch making the noise, I will go back for the third time to the Sprunk factory tonight and follow up on this.

Nice myth investigation reports there BirdieBeater.

Although the one thing I would say is that you mentioned that you weren't sure if the breathing sounds you heard were from the character, or someone else. Now I would say that it may actually be the character's breathing because when you run for a long time and eventually stop you can hear their breathing very quickly still, and if you are in an enclosed space, such as in the Sprunk Factory, regardless of running or not, because it is enclosed it is more easier to here the character's breathing, same can be said for footstep sound when the character is walking. It's the echo effect.
