Some time later on we'll get together and check it all out.

Downloaded Ghost Recon Future Soldier and Mafia 2: Jimmy's Vendetta lastnight. Ghost Recon is pretty awesome, really like being able to select your loadout before each mission. With those types of games that is something I always really liked was getting to choose and modify your gear for each mission. Played a bit of Mafia 2, it's certainly a lot different than the regular game. Nice it's not setup where it just goes mission to mission - a bit like GTA in a sense where's open world and when you are ready to do a mission you go to the location and start up. I had forgotten how small the city in Mafia 2 was though, the thing is tiny, good looking but still really small... in fact I think it's smaller than Vice City which if you remember wasn't really that big.

It must be that time again. The time where I get a bombardment of people wanting to be allies or retarded "Hitmen" who would like to 'meet' and join the crew. Certainly makes one think how stupid are some of these people but then again you have to remember you're dealing with pre-teens who are just now discovering hair growing on their nuts.

Good humor.

There really seems to be more MC's out there than you shake a stick at. All with names that don't really differ all that much from one another. Must be the new fad.

Fantastic, with this new forum update apparently it won't allow me to make any additions or subtractions from the front page because it's "too long". Sure as hell didn't have that problem before... and the codes are still f*cked up.

I still like the old forums better then these, despite me getting used to these comfortably now.

Sorry I couldn't get on tonight, had to write a paper.

The feeling is mutual. A lot of people feel the same way actually. Yes as time has progressed it's gotten easier to navigate but still prefer the old forums opposed to these new ones. The old ones seemed more inviting but also were simpler... just like the discussion we've had about why IV was more enjoyable than V because the game was simpler, wasn't so serious.

Still aggravating that I can't make basic changes to the front page without f*cking up the whole layout. Also the fact codes/tables are screwy as well.

Our front page has been a mess ever since the conversion. I actually just removed half the content because there was no way to restore it to its former state. The new forum is a step up for pretty much everything (and I suspect mostly behind the scenes), but coding a nice looking post has gotten harder, which sadly mostly affects us. We're just going to have to find ways to deal with it.

That's exactly what happened here with ours. As soon as the conversion was made everything went to sh*t. I've done what I could to try and restore order (especially with the roster) but unfortunatley the thing is f*cked either way. I've reached a point where I don't even want to touch it until we know for sure what works and what doesn't... at least I already have everything backed up.

We should all play Planetside 2.

EDIT: They're doing some "system" where old time and active gangs will have a chance to become official and get access to a private section. The topic's pinned.

EDIT II: You guys should hop on the box.

It's a MMOFPS where you can make a character (or more) and fight for one of three empires fighting for control of three continents on some planet. You can choose from 6 classes and use land and air vehicles to attack enemy positions. You can join a squad, which can be part of a platoon, which can be part of an outfit.

Look at their website and check out the over view of all the classes and vehicles and some gameplay, too.

Recently I've been reading up on Arma 2. Perhaps I'll take a gander at that as well.

Oh that sh*t takes some getting used to. Your gonna need to spend some time on that. The controls alone took me a week to get my head around.

I've watched some gameplay videos of Arma 2 and it looks like it'd be kind of interesting... if I do recall it's a combination of both NPC's and other players on the mass multiplayer? That's pretty cool. It's one game I've looked at before but never downloaded, looks interesting though.

Erm, yep. Depends on which game mode though. There's domination, where you take the map from NPC with your fellow players. Then there's DayZ, which is surviving and killing zombies and maybe finding something cool while the server lags like sh*t. My personal favorite is wasteland, which is pretty much DayZ without zombies and pitch black nights.

I like the fact that you can right off the bat spawn and make a small camp and then objectives will pop up every 15 minutes saying that there is a certain vehicle somewhere.

Domination is more military but then there's the assholes who just like to f*ck up your plans when your loading all your vehicles into a C-130 or something.

EDIT: But it's still fun and if you get it, I'll play with you and I think a couple of us have it.

I used to watch Arma 2 videos on youtube, to the point where I bought the game itself. Little did I know being young and stupid that my laptop couldn't even handle the game. So it would be a while for me if we all started playing that. I wouldn't be able to run it.

Is that Rambo? sh*t.

Don, this is one game where you actually need to buy it. They have this thing called BattleEye in place that watches everyone and watches for hackers and needs a registration code before letting you on to BattleEye enabled servers.

So, just pay the $12 for the base game. Or $20 for Arma2 plus the expansion. Or what I have is the $40 version that has the base game, -Operation Arrowhead(Afghanistan)

-Private Military Company (adds weapons and vehicles and player models, also adds a new mini-campaign)

- British Armed Forces (Adds new British, Canadian, and Australian weapons and vehicles)

- Army of the Czech Republic (Chechen version of BAF, adds ACR weps and vehs.)

You don't need the DLC, but it makes the game so much more enjoyable.

I was wondering what happened because I hadn't talked to you in about a month which is odd considering I talk to everyone at least a couple times a week. But hey, I know how that goes... never been arrested but surely know how that goes. Personally I thought it was due to the mass power outages that have been wrecking the East Coast especially in the Great Lake areas.

Anybody notice Rockstars witch hunt? They've redacted all sums of money obtained from modders or as they say "exploits" returning your total cash to what it was before you received 13-billion Pesos. Sill rather irrelevant considering that their in-game economy is useless as cool as it may be to have. You can't share cash nor is there anything really to spend it on either. If their stock market was up I'd be blowing large amounts of cash on it just for the hell of it.

I started watching Miami Vice, f*ck that show is good. Not many people understand the cultural significance of Miami Vice - an inspiration which dawned not only a style of dress but also a life style along with having an amazing soundtrack from artists of the 70's and 80's spread throughout the series.

EDIT: I now have a new best friend on SAMP... Eddies ear. You'll get the full story shortly.
