Wow.

I had heard of this a month or two back, but looking over the cast list now..good God! Some f*cking cast. Jamie Fox is a little suspect though. Not a huge fan of his. Idris Elba was outstanding in The Wire and personally, I'd have preferred him.

Tarantino is pretty kickass though and I'm sure he'll put together a hell of a film. I dig all his work...Jackie Brown and Kill Bill, in particular.

Most people wanted Elba. I really did. And in second place, I wanted Smith. But Foxx... ehhh.

Jamie Fox's casting doesn't excite me all that much.  QT offered it to Will Smith first but he turned it down.  That would have been better.

Idris Elba was linked to that role too. That would have been sweeet.

All the new cult actors he's put in there sound amazing. Cohen, Johnson, Remar (!!) and LaPaglia are all amazing additions.

Edit: And oh ma gawd, my eyes completely missed the name "Michael Kenneth Williams". Best. Tarantino cast. Ever.

Idris would have been far more interesting than Jamie Foxx. Foxx is a good actor no doubt but I'm just not that big a fan.

If Leo DiCaprio and Kurt Russell are definately in, and have good parts, then I'm there. Huge fan of both those actors. They always hit it out of the park.

I'm more hyped for this than I thought I'd be. Especially after seeing those two beautiful images. I can't wait to see what Tarantino is going to do with this. We should expect something twisted and genius. His style.

I really hope Leo lets himself off the chain for this performance. He's the villain for God's sake and following Waltz' Basterds turn to boot.

He's been on auto-pilot for a while now. There's a reason he didn't get an Oscar nom for J. Edgar. It was a typical Leo performance. Good, intense, but nothing new, nothing exciting.

He certainly wasn't on autopilot for Shutter Island or Inception. I thought he was great in those movies. Haven't seen J Edger though.

Leonardo's performance is going to be awesome. I hope it has that old spaghetti-western feel to it. Still, looking forward to it.

Jamie Foxx is one of those guys where I respect his talent (music/acting) and he's a tremendous entertainer but boy is this guy a douche when he's not on the screen or in the booth. I heard him describing this film in an interview on Sirius/XM and it just gave me douche chills, I love his work but he seems like a f*cking horrendous person to hang out with.

Just 40 days left guys! biggrin.gif

I'm a huge Tarantino fan, ever since I saw Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction 10 years ago for the first time at college. I am as passionate about Tarantino movies as I am about GTA games. New movie in 40 days and new game in ~6 months! This is incredible! 2009 was also amazing, three GTA games + Inglourious Bastards. Now that I think about it Tarantino movies often coincide with big GTA releases. Kill Bill Vol. 2 and San Andreas both came out in '04.

Sam Jackson was great as always, Fox was decent... but DiCaprio was amazing. Never seen him play a role like that. Also, they must have used the word ni**er AT LEAST 400 times in that movie. Definitely a new record, that's all I know. lol.gif

Really enjoyed this one a lot. Tarantino's homage to spaghetti westerns is a magnificent one.

Jaime Foxx was decent. He did his part well, but I really think Christoph Waltz stole the movie. Every time he was on screen, I couldn't help but smile and enjoy his character more and more. DiCaprio was excellent in the film as well. There was one specific scene where DiCaprio slams his hand down on the table and bloodies himself. He actually hurt himself and still acted through with it and rubbed his real, bloody and wounded hand all over Kerry Washington's face! That's superb acting. They liked it so much that they kept it in the final version.

The story was a good one and the music was polarizing. At times, it was amazing, then they decide to throw some hip hop stuff in it (by no means am I saying I hate hip hop, I just don't think it was the right choice of music for a spaghetti western).

Really enjoyed the over the top violence too. It got ridiculous, but that's Tarantino for ya!
