It's fine in games like Red Dead and Assassin's Creed where literally everyone walked around with a weapon in those times and locations, but it makes no sense to put it into GTA. What guy just walks around with an AK-47 on his back in this day and age? A guy that's about to be arrested, that's who. This is a stupid idea, honestly.

A cop can't arrest you for carrying a gun in public, it's legal in most states, they would probably harass you a little, but that's all.

Honestly if I were a cop and I saw a guy walking down the street with a sh*t ton of guns on him and I knew I couldn't arrest him, I'd be just a tad cautious about harassing him if I didn't have the entire swat team right next to me. Just sayin. Actually, from a modding viewpoint, I'd prefer if they put it in, then turned it off (like hot coffee) so it would be easy for us to mod it in. It's not really that easy to mod in something that the creator didn't leave any 'pieces' for laying around the game.

True, but technically it's still legal in most states. I actually would prefer the way it was in GTAIV were you pull a bazooka out of your pocket.

Not really. It's turned into more of a debate on how weapons should be displayed:

Invisible
Visible

Frankly, this idea is cool but maybe add an option? What I mean is this:

Every gun is currently hidden from view of the player until selected. However, in the option menu under PAUSE, there is a magical option that clearly says:

Make Primary Weapon Visible?

YES NO

Just a compromise to this arguement. Honestly, some people can't welcome new ideas without a cup of venom!

Really? I didn't know that. But they CAN arrest you if your in school.

Back to topic: I like the idea, but only handguns, and the bigger gun, you pull out you pocket.

I think you'd better do a wee bit more research on open carry laws because it's actually very illegal in most states.

Still the toggle on/off option would be good. But the ability to choose your play mode/style would appeal to more people:

Realistic - Normal/Hard*
GTA - Normal/Hard*

*Where difficulty hard means where NPC have better AI, not more health

With the realistic play mode selected you can also use your clothes where you can hide your bigger weapons in a long coat or something. But you can also choose to have them strapped on your back or whatever.

Meh, its an immersion killer for me. And it over complicates everything. I'm so used to carrying two weapons that I grind my teeth when I have to scroll through the 6 weapons I never use just to get to the one I need. In the heat of action, I'd rather hit one button to switch to my other weapon.

Not to mention it makes MP clunky.

Uh, I thought you could just hit a specific number key on your keyboard to bring out each weapon in GTA IV already?

How about just making large weapons visible? The video above may show that the kid could hide a shotgun in his pants but I seriously doubt he'd be able to walk around with that in his pant leg. They could make the pistols, machine pistols, and knives hidden but make mp5 and larger types as well as baseball bats and shovels and whatnot obvious. I think they could probably get away with giving you a star for carrying them if the first star only meant police harassment instead of instant arrest.
