The Whiskey A-Go-Go was one of the first buildings to be identified nearly 3 years ago. I mean, it's posted on page 3.
Because it was found so long ago, we haven't really paid much attention to it since then, so I suppose we were sort of shocked that it was such an easy & simple match.
Basically it's been right under our noses since the first trailer & we were too stupid to spot it.
Even though the whole of Clinton Ave is full of duplicate buildings from other parts of the game, we never matched it to Tequi-La-La, yet it's so obvious now.
The Muscle Gym has been mentioned & discussed a couple of times but nobody could find a real life match.
In the game, it looks sort of run down & abandoned, so I even tried googling demolished buildings in LA to see if I could find it.
Then you just casually come along & say "Hey guys, I think this is a duplicate"
I guess it was probably a bit of a "duh" moment for us.
The 3 buildings to the left of Muscle Gym are also duplicates.
I put them on the map last week but didn't post them here, so I may as well do it now.
That nearly finishes off Clinton Ave. Just 2 to go I think.
The first one was easy. It's just a straight duplicate of Fruit of the Vine from Hawick Ave, which IRL is McConnell's Picture Frames on Melrose Ave.
While I was getting pics of that, I thought the brickwork from Yeti + Pikey's looked similar to the XXX Adult Book Shop & Paradise Sauna.
They're of course copies of Fitzu, Kidrobot & Loyal Army from Melrose Ave.
The next one is the Tool Shed & WyeWig.
It's just a duplicate of Vinewood Records & Eclipse Liquor Deli from W Eclipse Blvd.
IRL it's the Sunset Blvd stores in West Hollywood.
BTW, the Sunset Blvd Stores were also identified at the same time as the Whiskey A-Go-Go.
We're a bit slow on this thread.
